I dont care what anybody may say...........God gave Jerry Lee a talent like no other...........And yes, I will see him one day play, if not on earth, I will in GLORYLAND!! God bless ya brother Jerry Lee!!!
Just when I think I’ve seen every awesome JLL video , this beauty comes up. Jerry , your music will live on forever, nobody can carry it on at your level though.
Yes indeed, who is going to play this ol' piano when Jerry Lee Lewis is gone. I don't know anyone who has the thunder in their hands and the soul in their voice...and the creative, imaginative phasing. Jerry Lee Lewis is truly one for the ages. Luv this guy...just sorry I came to him so late. And I am born, bred and still live in Memphis tn
Yup. As kids, we used to say we "killed" something when we did it very well. In that sense, Jerry Lee Lewis "killed" the act of vocal and piano better than any and all others. I got hooked in 57, when he recorded "You Win Again" at Sun Recording in Memphis.
Mighty fine bone, trumpet, and clarinet. And the piano. Well, there is never going to be an equal to Jerry Lee Lewis. Not in any place, not at any time.
as good as it ever was or will ever get..........the horns and the band rocked also....but Jerry Lee is one of a kind...........he didnt just play piano he plaaaaaayed the piano
Can't thank you enough for posting this! This song has a very New Orleans feel to it. Guess he was getting back to his roots around that time in his life since he did cut his very first studio track in N.O. Love my home state!
It made a big difference to me, because of two reasons. One, she was 13 years old, a child, Two, she's his cousin, very warped/sick, but it didn't stop me from liking his talent.. his songs, his music. I remember listening to his hit song.. "Great Balls of Fire" repeatedly.
P.P.S. JERRY LEE ALWAYS SAID THAT CHUCK BERRY WAS THE KING OF ROCK ' N ' ROLL & HE HIMSELF WAS / IS THE BEST KN HIS FIELD OF MUSIC. ---- JOHN UK. ---- HIS MOTHER ALWAYS LIKED CHUCK BERRY ALONG WITH HER SON JERRY LEE.
@sinning1966 I agree ...i find the best music in the world from front rooms and bedrooms all over the world via youtube........i like live or recorded live music......not the edited crap you see or hear on CMT or the radio

I don't care who he married....This man is the best God Damned Piano player that ever lived, and I'm a fan and always will be.....
Jerry didnt give a damn what anyone thought "they got kinda upset about it" we could all learn from him these days. RIP Mr Lewis.
The man could play any style of music- rock and roll, country, gospel, you name it.
The top interpreter of American Music of all time. The man is a master of his craft.
Nobody gives life to a song like the killer. I love to hear him do the old gospel classics. He's the best.

No one Can Play Them and Sing Them Like , Jerry Lee.
I love this type of music, it reaches down into your soul.
Man he can make those ivory talk, not one greater. Awesome.
I’ve always loved Jerry Lee. Can’t beat him.
I have personally known Jerry Lee since 1957. He was great then and greater today, no matter what Jimmy Lee says. Jim Fugler and I agree on that too.
Did he kill his wives?
The Real KING OF ROCK N ROLL 👑
Nobody can do a master performance like this one.
GOOD LORD KILLER ♥️ how can you EVER be compared to any one else??? NEVER NOT EVER.
No one compares musically for natural talent.
NO ONE CAN EVER PLAY IT LIKE YOU KILLER ♥️
..... and that song could not ever of been done any better at any time by anybody in the G.Damn world .... And that is why JLL is the Killer !!
We used to sing Jerry lee music in the Brunswick in the year 58/59 Glasgow'.

A lot of people walkin in his tracks but they can't fill his shoes!
Young and good lookin'. those were the days. So close yet so far away.

No one can, Jerry.
Everyone rightfully pays homage to his piano playing but for me its that voice ... it does naughty things inside me lol
I love his voice too.
I didn't care whom he married back then. I I've always liked him

He burst on the scene as a rocker, but few people could match him as a country artist.
I've made this point before, but I honestly think he was a genre unto himself!
Love that type of piano.
Miss you already
Who said WAS!?! Still is, no dirt thrown on him yet, and a very sad day when it happens.
the KILLER
beautiful blend
Got the Cigar cooling in the ashtray while playing piano right next to him
Just like Elvis...some will follow his steps, but that will be it...follow..
JLLewis IS AMERICA!! THAT S ALL!!!
God bless the "Killer"

I got to see Jerry twice live. He was great even though he was always late and drunk. He never missed a note.
@sinning1966 I agree ...i find the best music in the world from front rooms and bedrooms all over the world via youtube........i like live or recorded live music......not the edited crap you see or hear on CMT or the radio
@skyman2002 . thank you! The piano has left the family, I'm tracing it down. Thanks so much for the info!
Gandhi was 13 when he married a 14 y.o. girl. Not much press on that. i guess Gandhi didn't play too much piano.
He's the all time best
It was standard practice back in that period in the south. His sister married at fourteen.
Who loves ya baby?
Nobody....
No Mistaking It, That Is A Vose & Sons Piano.
@missprissy1100 .To skyman 2002, do you think that this is the same piano loaded March4, 2010 by TWR003? Thanks again. By the way, HAPPY EARLY BIRTHDAY KILLER!!!!!!!!!!!!

Woulda been nice if they'd at least put new bass strings in that piano before they filmed this.

Killer...makes my weed better.
Because of marrying his cousin cost him his career. Sad .... 💙
No it didn't.
It was a temporary downswing.
Many great artists suffer them.
He never stopped.
That simply opened the book to the next chapter.
all the ravings for JLL & his obvious piano skills.. have you heard his cousin Jimmy Swaggart play piano? he's as good or better than Jerry
Wonderful
