The original "Egg" is actually the cycle of eggs from odyssey, for example "Skycloud Egg" which do pretty much what you would expect them to do

funny thing about Chromatic Sphere. It's get around graveyard hate yes but also the card draw doesn't go on the stack. Couple of weird interactions with that.

@MTGDeckmasters also with bolas citadel on board, you can announce you're casting a card from the top, putting it on the stack and in the "paying for the spell" step, use chromatic sphere to draw the next card and pay for the spell you put on the stack. Feels like cheating but hey that's legal
I strongly believe that this is a deck that should never come back to Modern... no matter what.

oh no... eggs brings back some memories.
I loved this deck when it first came around and even after the first round of bans but i worry about it not being playable at its current state. In its last iteration kci got you inf pretty dang quick especially since you could loop certain lands like opal and citadel. I worry about how you get your mana here. When i played the deck unless you were straight up winning youd only have 1 lotus that you cheated out with reshape. Thats 3 but all your important pieces require 4 now. So it has to start coming from somewhere and without an easy artifact sac outlet youre in for pain. Also a couple if notes on the current list. I wouldnt run the 0 drop, citadel, or echoing truths. They seem mire like you want them for a sideboard and in your first game you should just be hellbent on hitting your combo. With the bans, now more than ever, everything has to be as streamlined and purpose serving as possible. The fetch lands are awesome but i wouldnt be affraid of ghost quarters either since it brings back your basic lands and offers to thin you more. Id sideboard things like echoing truths, silence, a graftdiggers cage, a pithing needle, laylein of dont touch me im white, etc. Hmm you might still look at ichor wellspring as like a 2 of since you have 8 cards that you could use it in a sac and drawing 2 is better than 1. I also feel like theres something you could replace golden egg with here but i cant think if it off the top of my head. Most of the list looks pretty good though, cheers!

It'd be nice to have some suggestions for what to board out for the different Sideboard options.
This is a great deck for a guy like me who eats 12 eggs a day

can someone please brew a cedh version of this so i can make those assholes who take cedh to non competitive edh events taste their own meds lol. nothing in the game worse than a full table of 3 people with 1 land on turn 2 and some asshole with a deck 5 times more expensive than all 3 other decks combined goes "i have infinite mana, response?"
If you want it in cedh you want to look for teshar decks
Good content. Try more budget or casual modern decks, we play a very healthy meta mostly tribal creature decks or fun decks. Maybe you got smth nice to show just casual fun kirchentable shit.
This deck just loses to bowmasters, deck is garbage
This Decks never loses against Bowmaster. I play Eggs for some long time now and Bowmaster does nothing, he is compleatly useless.
Why shout I care about 1 Damage for each card when i win in that Turn, i never lose against a Bowmaster or even 2 . So dont just talk about things you have no Idear of

Its just that Bowmaster looks broken against a Deck likes Eggs that draws many cards but when you play against a Bowmaster, its not as good as it looks.
Eggs draws cards when its mostly the win turn and then 1 damage per card is not really a problem cause first the deck has enough lifegain to just ignore the ping and second to die against Bowmaster I need to draw like 15 cards or even more and in that many cards you find something for Bowmaster. Even pyrit spellbomb is enough to deal with Bowmaster.
And with Leyline in the Sidebaord...
@@NewPhyrexia If the opponent has 2 bowmasters in play you definitely do not win on the same turn rofl, dont talk trash. Eve a deck like jund should have little issue picking this deck apart. Have fun trying to win when your graveyard gets exiled and he rips your hand apart. wn6 + boseiju just says bye bye to the entire deck. This deck wont consistently win vs yawg, living end, titan, rhinos, murk etc. Its a rogue deck that wins solely based on the hope that people didnt bring enough artifact hate. If you play a deck like this regularly in a LGS you will consistently get shit on.
@@khurgar8120 maybe you first try decks out and learn them before you talk like that about them.
Its very diffrent what a Deck looks like on Paper, to how it plays. I played Eggs trough many many games and yeah when you are stupide of corse you cant play against Graveyard hate or the other things. But then you could just say Living end is the biggest trash cause it loses against GH more than any other Deck.
So its the same for Eggs like for any other Deck it has bad Matchups like every Deck but that doesnt make it a bad Deck just a normal won
