I think i missed the part about the best thing about this castle :D I always thought the 'gargoyles' are the ears of the gatehouse (the black stonepanels are the eyes, the gate is the mouth)
Haha, that's a nice way to look at it! Thanks for sharing! It's also a great example of how good and wired we are recognizing faces in so many unexpected things. Can't unsee it now you mentioned it. Resembles at bit the 😱 emoji to me.
You're right! It makes for a great canvas for imagining adventures of sword and sorcery, both outside and inside its mighty walls. The poster alone gives us lots of ideas for cracking scenarios. Come to think of it, LEGO should make a Hero Quest! 😄All the best!
You are absolutely right about that! And anyone who says otherwise is wrong! And the best thing about your comment is the mentioning of BardicBroadcasts! 😁
I feel you! 😊 Not only do they sport this magnificent castle, but they also have some really nice color-scheme, for example. Anything in particular that you like about this faction?
@@clipbricks8811 I do agree with you! Very appealing color pattern. It's the first faction with the king minifigure. Lions feel like good guys for me. Forestmen, Black knights, fright knights are kinda shady folks ☺️
@@Wind-Waker7272 Yeah, I agree. The Royal Knights have that good guys vibe with a just and benevolent king. The Black Knights and Fright Knights I also thought of as bad guys, with the Fright Knights being even more wicked than the Black Knights. I am surprised you think of Forestmen as shady, but I can see why one could lean that way. After all, they opposed both the Crusaders as well as the Black Knights. To me, Forestmen have that Robin Hood and his merry band of outlaws vibe and thus I see them as kind of neutral-good. You know, robbing the rich Black Monarch or the King in his Mountain Fortress to reallocate some of the wealth to the common folk. Now, the Wolfpack on the other hand seem more than shady to me. To me, they feel like the bad, immoral version of the Forestmen. But I like that Classic Castle just gives you the factions and YOU are the storyteller! YOU decide who’s good or bad. It’s all up to your imagination. Anything goes as long as you can dream it up! Wish you a happy time, my friend!
@@clipbricks8811 I was wrong about forestmen😊 They are people's militia of the king😄 I like Robin vibes too, just put them together by mistake with the other "war criminals"🤭 Lego castle had so much factions and good story-telling and lore. Yep, you decide who good or bad. I wish lego made smaller sets with peasants and modern forestmen with og smiley faces
@@Wind-Waker7272 I totally second your wish concerning smaller sets with town folk and peasants featuring the original smiley faces. That would be awesome! I would sign a petition for that in the blink of an eye. Civilians were pretty rare in Classic Castle sets with the only sets featuring them being Forestmen or Crusaders sets, like the Guarded Inn, the Hay Ride, Supply Wagon or Blacksmith Shop. Which peasent's sets would you put out if you were a LEGO designer and could decide?
I absolutely agree. While the Royal Knight‘s Castle is very impressive, both in size and design, Black Knight‘s Castle - to me - is the best Lego castle ever released to this day. Little did I know though that the Royal Knight‘s Castle AND Black Knight‘s Castle were both designed by the legendary Niels Milan Pedersen who also gave us the legendary Pirates sets (e. g. Eldorado Fortress, Black Seas Barracuda, Skull‘s Eye Schooner etc.), the King‘s Castle 6080 and the legendary Black Monarch‘s Castle. That man is a genius!

Very good Video, Just bought the set and love to see the review
That's great! I hope you're having a good time enjoying this amazing set!
Love it. Had a good laugh especially the small catapult part
😄 Thanks, Andrew! I'm glad you enjoyed it! All the best!
You van really feel the Heros quest when looking at this Castle.
