Today I am explaining in this music tutorial in Cubase, a simple trick of glitching out synths by using the same midi pattern in a higher octave and slicing them together.
This trick is particular awesome not only for IDM or Breakcore but also for Glitch hop, Drum and Bass breaks, Dubstep bass lines etc.
I am doing this series in Cubase and if there is anything in the video I skimmed over please message me and I can run you through any of this.
    Bigups!

Refreshing to see someone making this type of music in Cubase. Almost any sort of glitch tutorial I'm having to adapt the workflow over from ableton. Cool man keep em coming.

Great idea but so much extra work. Why don't you use render in place instead?

Thanks good feedback. I guess just for extra flexibility such as tweaking what's going into the channel that's recording on the fly, like changing filters in serum.
