It wasn't song originally but rather just funny joke which quickly turned to song. It was Simon from Yogscast who started it.

I really DIG these guys. Can you imagine the stones it takes to walk out at Wacken in front of 60,000 people, in dwarf outfits? And I thought wearing my suit of armor into Walmart was stressful -- Jeez. Metal-heads line up and "air-shovel" at their shows. I'd drive to Chicago to see them -- 150 mi. I discovered Metal when I was 60! Not a fan of Death Metal, but as you said, so many genres to explore. Saw Wind Rose in Glasgow along with Beast in Black and GloryHammer 2019. What a night!

Once a year I look up reactions to "diggy diggy hole" and it's just people getting the idea from fans for the Metal version. Anyone who sees this, pls recommend the history of diggy diggy hole. ya, it's longer but it does still end up with this wind rose song at the end. FYI, main guy from the band only did this (the whole production/song) bc his kid loved the original creators of it in Minecraft.
My son introduced me to this (I've played D & D, love Lord of the Rings, etc). It's turned into one of my favourites. Enough that I want to get all of Wind Rose's CDs now.

Thomas Winkler (he was Odin in Valhalleluja by Nanowar of Steel), Saltatio Mortis (represented by vocalist Alea) and Melissa Bonny (her main band is the symphonic metal band Ad Infinitum).
Besides their original material, which is mostly in German, they did some great covers in English besides W.o.t.W.U.:
I See Fire (Ed Sheeran), Thomas Winkler did a guest feature on the live version,
Blinding Lights (The Weeknd),
Gimme Gimme Gimme (ABBA),
and, in the case of their version of the infamous 2004 summer dance hit Dragostea Din Tei (aka the Numa Numa song), original by Moldovan boy group O-Zone, even in Romaninan.
I'm quite sure there were suggestions for Feuerschwanz already in the earlier days of the channel, probably on the Saltatio Mortis version of Hypa Hypa.
