I just love how you could tell Lewis at the end was so overcome with pride and emotion, without saying a word or even moving. Just his stance and expression were enough to see it clear as day. Everyone at the yogs should feel that pride for what theyve built. Lewis definitely. But its good also that Sparkles* can take pride in his contribution here, because in a big way Area 11 and Sparkles* were instrumental in building the brand that is Yogscast. That the song became the anthem it has is testament to that.
11:10 Lewis looks out upon all the Yognaughts singing, reminiscing and proud of what he, and his friends, have built. There’s been hard times, amazing times, and in between, and in this moment, it’s paying off. Pure bliss. This, for me, is one of the best moments of The Yogscast/YogCon. (And it’s hard to narrow it down!) It always send chills down my spine, no matter how many times I see it, and it makes me proud to be apart of the Yogscast community. Such a spectacular moment! Definitely one of my top five favorite moments.
I wasn't there for any of the WoW days. A lot of the YogPod references people would make never made sense to me back then. I didn't even really watch a lot of the other Yogscast channels even if they were doing stuff in the same server. Hell, Tekkit on the main channel was probably when I properly became a Yognau(gh)t. Even Diggy Diggy Hole was something I didn't get for a long time because it took me a long time to actually watch SoI. But that moment... It really is special despite all that.

I was a big fan of the yogscast. I hadn’t thought of them in nearly 10 years. Then about a month ago the wind rose version of diggy diggy hole came up on a Spotify playlist and I didn’t look at the song. As soon as I heard the first few beats all the memories came flooding back and I sang my heart out on the way to work. The song I feel will be one of the most recognisable parts of the yogscast legacy.
Ya know, all these years later, I still really want an update to Minecraft that's all about being able to survive the game entirely underground. Now, I know it's easily possible to do. But I'm talking with NO above ground gameplay whatsoever. No going topside to get your first few trees, no going topside to get some seeds. I want an entire Dwarven Update, where there's underground meadows with trees and seeds, underground villages and such. Like, make it so I can even spawn underground from the start and never once go above ground and still do just fine. I have huge nostalgia for underground and in-mountain building. That's how my entire early days of Minecraft was. I would dig into the side of a mountain and liv there, usually digging the rest of my base down into the ground, and instead of building rooms, I'd dig out rooms. It's also how I play with my brother, because he's the same way. He much prefers digging out a world, instead of building one up.
It's amazing looking in the comment section of the music video and seeing all the middle age moms who don't know where this song originated talking about how they're singing it. This song has come so far.
