      Hi There - This particular pipe took 3 mins to cut. How labor-intensive of course will depend on the thickness of your metal. Hope this helps!

    I have a 1" thick hollow aluminum shower rod I need to cut shorter. Will this method work for that as well? It's white; will this mess up the paint at the cut?

      Hi There,
      We suggest you wrap the pipe with masking tape and cut through the tape to preserve the finish and use a sharp blade. Hope this helps!
