For me real female space hero was Valentina Tereschkowa, the first woman in space ever and a non academic , flying with russian Wostok into space in 1963
I saw her one time in my life in the early 2000s, the only astronaut/kosmonaut, I ever met in my life. Then she was an older woman and I must say, she is a nice person, just like an elderly grandma. She had some kind of positive, real, nice, grinning in her face on that day, which was not false, standing just meters away from me. I was to shy to go over and shake her hand :-( I think she is a great and nice person! I will never forget Mrs. Tereschkowa!

Things I wanna see take place before I become an old man and end up dead.
1.) see a woman walk on the moon.
2.) see a woman be the first to set foot on planet mars.
3.) see a woman become the president of the United States 🇺🇸.

Dr. Sally Ride really measured up and was very qualified. Nobody just handed it to her. The problem that goes on now I see in employment, a lot of disqualified people get into positions not based on merit. It's terrible! Sally Ride was the best of the best, she was accepted because she was qualified.

The US made use of space, the Russians really didn't. The US made GPS, communications, and be able to locate residentials and buildings by satellite technology.

Look at the technology we use. The Russians didn't accomplish much in space. We are sending deep space probes from the United States sending back pictures. Yes, Russia was quite impressive with exploring Venus.

To all believers and non believers, "THE FINAL JUDGEMENT," is at hand, know that what you choose and accept for your spirit (including your actions in the carnal), will be your eternal fate... You must be very cautious how you choose to live from here on out!
Please there are no lukewarm heavenly bodies in Heaven!!!
Choose now, in your heart and spirit, righteousness or evil?!!

Since the first woman in space was a Russian TWENTY YEARS before Ride did it, isn't it kind of pathetic to try to "take pride" in this accomplishment of American womanhood?

The only thing "first woman" proves is role models aren't needed. No one really cares except lesbians that dont like men very much.

What was pathetic was a male dominated culture that blocked women’s access to jobs and education. Bet you’re not old enough to remember women weren’t allowed to even apply. Women couldn’t even get a loan to buy a car or a house.
