I just started my freeform locs on July 1 after a 8.5gram mushroom journey. Truly a beautiful experience. Know your roots, connect with your ancestors, connect with the universe, and connect with your spirit
I heard God speaking to me to quit brushing out my hair as it kept locing up after I was baptized. It has been a very humbling experience and it’s amazing to see the stigma attached most people hate them and think you’re dirty because of it. But it’s spiritual natural and free not to mention it’s like having a protective helmet on both physically and spiritually. Thank you Yahweh ❤🙏🏽
I started my locs 4 months ago and you've inspired me to switch from cultivated to free form. I'm so excited to start this journey. It just feels right. Glad your mom is doing well! 😊❤
Psychs and dreads are best friends, I used to remember when some events happened based on what my hair looked like at the time because it's always been a big part of my identity. Now I always just remember before and after DMT as totally different lives. They're similar in that way and my dreads really helped me regain some of my former identity, though not all of it, when I came back from DMT.
Much love to your mother and family. Sending my prayers. I am a graduate student with no connections to freeform locks but play your videos in my background because your voice soothes my mojo during my thinking moments. Thank you and please keep going. I hope I can have a relationship with locks one day...
Freeforming from low waves since December my hairs not the longest but can definitely see it lock up in the back and sides. The top just recently started
I feel as tho one of the funniest ironies is when ppl (who often don’t even understand the distinctions very well) will look down on freeform or non-maintained locks but then will acknowledge Bobs locks as being great and his name is synonymous with dreadlocks no less but he had wild freeform locks
Right now I have half of my hair dyed like XXXTENTACION but I’m growing out the sides right now I’m excited to see the transformation I’m trying to pull my dread journey out for some year and u is my Inspiration
Great video (as always). Just wanted to let you know that Lazy Dreads' locs were not actually freeform, he had them done in a salon when he was a kid though eventually he did just leave them alone and let them do their own thing.
There is a neet gentleman on youtube named Kris McDred , would be neet reaction, Unsure which video but he essentially promoted beauty in the natural occurrence of free forming, that anyone can freeform, he also has one on interlocking, KnotNation might like to see some neat happy stuff,, Like your videos KnotNation,, I admire the patience it would take for someone to grow their dreads, not just using extensions,, a lot of youtubers also have stuff on that to,,YARN DREADS,,,🧵🧶✂ LOL which is smart if one likes funky colorful yarn,, i used to have dreads and i cut them, wove em into wool extensions and turned em into double ended locks that can be removed so somewhat cheating.. m..might crochet em back in, A neet idea though is to take the hair that is from hairbrush 🧵that is own hair anyways and don't throw any away and just crochet em into the dreadlock extensions over time,, same principle washing and clean etc..
I have straight hair and now that they are in and locked I am going to freeform. I have very thick hair and I am about a 3a so I think they are going to turn out great!
free form locs may be for everyone else but nye 😭 i went several months without retwisting and i didn’t know not maintaining your locs can cause thinning. i think it’s the main cause of why some of mine are ): i wish i could freeform though because they’re dope!!!
It’s funny you mention thinning of locs because I had that problem until I started freeform. I’ve been on my journey for 10 years and for the first 5 I got them done once every 6 weeks and it made my hair thin and break off. Now that I barley touched them other then when I wash my hair my roots are a lot stronger and thicker and my hair grew a lot faster. I guess it depends on the person but either way keep doing what your doing if it works for you.
Not maintaining your locks is not what causes them to thin. It's your habit of constantly getting them retwisted that is causing your hair to thin. If you free formed your hair would be much healthier!
Has anyone ever gone from bald to lox 😩😩😩 I want to grow. Oh well I'm enjoying life bald. I guess that's the price you pay for being in the army all my life getting clipped up weekly.
I do not know who the dude with the epic 3 locks but there is a guy from a band called dropout kings who has the same look... His name is eddie... love these freeform videos... love all your content... keep spreading the word and much love as always... keep the content coming...

@@BubbleBunnyy maybe a foot. But there's a lot of crazy things going on. I wouldn't call them dreads but there like forming in a wave type of something. Is that the start of the maturing phase?

Unpopular opinion: Not all freeform locs look good
not about what it looks like, its about becoming your natural self, one love brotha
Not an unpopular opinion. I’d imagine less than 50% of free form loc owners did it for that reason
It’s not about the look....
the best freeform locs are from people with type 4c hair. It's the most beautiful.
