@@m3nace2societyy it depends, if your hair doesn’t like water and doesn’t interact with it much, it can surely lock it over time. and if your hair does like water it will dissolve in there interact with your roots and if you drench it let it air dry after showering a week later or two it will surely lock
Bra I love your journey it’s similar to mine I just be having problems with my Durag. Like when I wrap it round in the back it leaves a dent in the back of my locs and make my bottle row stick out instead of lay down. I hate it 😂🤦🏽♀️ what you suggest I do?
Yeahhh that same thing use to happen to me. It’s kinda just part of that stage 🤷🏾♂️ you can always try wearing a bonnet to sleep or get the durag that have the wide strings and no tail, almost like a head wrap.

Nice progress..only thing I’ve noticed you have had a lot of retwist within only 6 months..You should go longer so your hair can really get thick unless you want skinny locs…but if so the longer it gets the smallest your locs will become and potentially damage your hair where you’ll have to do alot of combining. Keep it going.
I didn’t have dandruff, but in months 1-3 my scalp was real flaky due to the fact that it was being exposed to the air way more than usual, making it dry. The flakes will go away when your head and hair adjust. Just continue to keep it oiled and you’ll be straight. It’s all apart of the journey!

First off, congrats on joining the journey 💪🏾 and yeah I sleep w a durag every night. From day 1 - month 2 I got a retwist once a month. From then on I’ve gotten a retwist every 2 months. And I’ve washed my hair once a month since the beginning.

Most definitely. After the 6 month mark I started going 2-3 months in between retwist. Now I go about 4 months solid
