I’m now 5 months in my loc journey. Some times I feel like my hair is not as long as it should be often times. I appreciate your videos they keep me reminded that every ones journey is different and to keep the course .
I just started my free form lol journey at the same or a slightly shorter length than you. This gives me a good idea of where I may be in 1 year. I got a fade on the sides and in the back and I swear I’m just sooo cute with my little coils at the top. I’m embracing the journey and so far so good. I’m excited!!
Your locs look great. I noticed breakage and thinning when I was a loose natural. Saw a RUclipsr who recommended taking Saw Palmetto for breakage and thinning hair. I started taking it and noticed a huge improvement. I also purchased a scalp massager which I feel is helpful in bringing blood to my scalp to promote healthy hair. I loced my hair November 2nd of last year, and I have been taking saw palmetto for years and no longer deal with breakage and thinning. You can find it in the vitamin aisle. Again, good job with your locs!!!
I was looking for you earlier cause you haven’t posted in awhile and was worried you cut your hair after that last video you did glad you made it bro. I made my year mark nov 27th was a long year but we did it congrats!
They’re lookin good bro. Stay loc’d 🦁 *I’m a year and 3 months in...I wait at least 3 months for a retwist and just get shape ups in between. I moisturize when my hair tells me to and I wrap up at night and they naturally loc thicker.
I appreciate you sharing your journey. I will be starting my locs soon and have some of the same concerns about thinness that you have expressed. Judging by where you are how your locs look, It’s a done deal. Thank you. Peace
Damn what a journey! this guys hair looks freaking great,im At the 4Month mark aproaching 5 mths and this vid is really giving me the confidence and hope to keep this journey up❗💯keep shining brother keep shining💯
Definitely gonna start following this channel. Your dreads look really good, I started on Oct 15th 2019 still waiting for it to complete loc 😫. But I like this video 👌🏾
Yeah man, that's the main benefit of starting as short as I did, they mature quicker. I try not to but sometimes the little balls at the end get so far from the loc I just pull it off.
Combination of Jamaican mango and lime gel and tight hold. Really depends on the texture of your hair but nothing that’s gonna weigh it down or build up.
I see she cleaned up the part in the front so the hair ain’t pulling no more. Looks Gucci! Keep goin and try not to wash your hair so much. It’s recommend to go 4-6 weeks without washing or retwisting. And use Black Jamaican Castor Oil in between retwist and watch how fast ur hair sprouts. The natural oils from your hair is what makes it healthy and grow longer quicker!
Nice locs you might want to chill on those retwists tho...thin locs like yours are prone to thinning out with to much retwisting. Honestly no one should retwist their hair more than 4 times a year.
I started with the same exact length as you. The pressure for hang time has been lifted. Congrats on your 1 year! I’m 2 months until I make my mark.
Yeah it gets easier for sure lol. Congrats on your year coming up too!

Looking good. Leave those styles alone so your hair can thrive and not thin. Blessings.

From what I can tell, finding the right product for your type of hair and more time between retwist help with the thinness, thanks for the support!
