I'd bet the tent gets fairly toasty in stretch/flower with the massive driver attached. Run that thing wide open with CO2, it would chug electricity at 1500 W. Good show.
If you're running it at 700 watt its going to run cooler than any 700 watt fixture by a lot! It has 10 bars with the most efficient heat sinks in the world. Most fixtures have 1500 to 3000 diodes and do not use EVO diodes which are 2 to 4% more efficient and cost 40% more.

You're the one who put heat test in your description That's why I came here ... A lot of us have to play heat in the factor of our LEDs that we're buying I'm still in the market for a big huge LED setup I want a big rack like yours That one looks nice I'm curious of how hot they run in a grow tent not the heat of the lighting but the actual heat Fahrenheit the temperature the lights put off when they run for about 2 hours in a grow tent ... are they about 130° Fahrenheit like the LM301H evos ... Those run pretty darn hot ...They overpower the lm301h evos most companies. Yours isn't a mainstream company usually when I do electrical item reviews I will state the temperature of the item that I'm using and running and how hot it gets in with the wattage and power consumption also
@@SteveJ619 That is not how things work. I'd be happy to try and explain. A watt is watt, one watt equals 3.41 BTU's. The more diodes you have in your fixture, the cooler they will run because less wattage is running through each one. Most companies have 2000 to 3000 diodes in their fixtures. This fixture has 5600 diodes. These diodes are going to run cooler than any other fixture when comparing equal wattage. I hope that helps. Cheers

@@SteveJ619 Hey man, you seem to be VERY confused and for some reason VERY angry. An led diode that is more efficient is going to also naturally be less heat because of that efficiency. It's just physics. So EVOs being more efficient will also have less heat. There is no "they run hot". Whoever told you that has their head so far up their own ass they are generating the 1.21 jiggawatts needed to travel back in time. Not to mention the heat test is at the end of the video, just watch it. The light runs cooler than most I've tested.

Could you provide more information about the design of the lights heatsink? The light seems incredibly, but having designed a few grow lights myself I feel that the quality of the that heatsink looks trouble some.
When I turned it on I could tell this was something different. My eyes hurt lol. I can handle most LEDs I review but this one I had to turn it down to see.

I’m currently in the market for a new light for my 5x5. Would you guys recommend the Tarantula Tent Ultimate or the Borg Evo? Who has less coverage and wattage but has the spectrum tuning stuff. Any help is appreciated! Thanks
Personally I’d go borg evo. The spectrum tuning is great and it being a folder it’s much easier to put up and move if needed. The tent ultimate is just massive. Literally 5x5. Very little is manufactured in the US anymore. This is also a Canadian company so whoever you heard that from doesn't know what they're talking about. Most of the components that would go into a grow light are made in China. There are no real US made led grow lights. There are US owned companies and US assembled but not 100% made in the USA.
@@Justintime2grow I work in OEM automotive world. So I understand that components are not manufactured here. But if assembly, especially the soldering and SMT (surface mount technology) is done in the west or Europe…it’s 10 times more likely to last longer if the electrical components are assembled here.

I am mostly concerned about the driver assembly and soldering. This is the weakest point of any electric component. Where assembled and final inspections are done matter.
Borg is no expense spared highest end you can get. Borg evo is a more budget oriented version while still being elite compared to other lights in the category.
I haven't tested any of the AC infinity tents so I'm not really sure about that. It's a heavy light. The driver box is a lot of the weight. If you can run it outside I would. My spider farmer tents can hold it, the 4x4 better than the 5x5 though. The 5x5 poles are so long they bend much easier so they have a nice little bow to them with any of the bad boy GML lights hanging in them. I would feel much safer if I still had my gorillla tent. 😂 Message GML about anything missing. I'm sure he would like to know about that.

GML is planning to take led grow light world over. Cause they just keep knocking it out of the park with their lights. And I heard them talking about a 4x4 tran tent light like their 5x5 tent light. I’d say I would like to see a comparison between The new mammoth emerald green and this light. Me personally tends more to mammoth due to fuller spectrum, and also it has space to hang additional uvb bars in between to make it 100% full spectrum. Nonetheless impressive new light from GML and also nice too see (at least top brands) trying to go different directions💯👏🏽👌🏽
The Borg absolutely blows the mammoth light you mentioned way outta the ballpark. There isn’t much competition there, you could replicate the same spectrum as the mammoth with this borg if you desired it seems, also they have a UV bar coming out in month or so with brand new diodes

And replicate the same spectrum is not possible since mammoth has also plant centric (green) chips built in as only light on the Market. Also remember that the borg is intended to run at about 750 watts while mammoth runs regular at 880 watts, with the uv bars it would be 980. I could go on but I think the point is clear, the best would be a side by side comparison between the two 🍀.

id like to see this tested at a actual usable height with this light no ones using it at 24 inches from your plants id raise it all the way to the top of the tent then test par from there also are there any uv leds on this? for the price its at id expect some uv leds i just looked at there web site and they got the average at 48 inches hanging height to be 1222 with is still amazing and way more usable then at this height

Yeah it has a few. UV is best done as a stand alone bar though for 3 reasons. A few UV diodes on an entire fixture is doing little to nothing, you don't need/want it on for the full grow and UV diodes burn out faster than most other colors so you don't want a bunch of burnt diodes in your board.

It's not really meant to run at 1500 all the time. It's meant to run at 600-750 with a whatever tuned spectrum you like.

Personally I’d go borg evo. The spectrum tuning is great and it being a folder it’s much easier to put up and move if needed. The tent ultimate is just massive. Literally 5x5. Very little is manufactured in the US anymore. This is also a Canadian company so whoever you heard that from doesn't know what they're talking about. Most of the components that would go into a grow light are made in China. There are no real US made led grow lights. There are US owned companies and US assembled but not 100% made in the USA.
@@Justintime2grow I work in OEM automotive world. So I understand that components are not manufactured here. But if assembly, especially the soldering and SMT (surface mount technology) is done in the west or Europe…it’s 10 times more likely to last longer if the electrical components are assembled here.

I am mostly concerned about the driver assembly and soldering. This is the weakest point of any electric component. Where assembled and final inspections are done matter.

I haven't tested any of the AC infinity tents so I'm not really sure about that. It's a heavy light. The driver box is a lot of the weight. If you can run it outside I would. My spider farmer tents can hold it, the 4x4 better than the 5x5 though. The 5x5 poles are so long they bend much easier so they have a nice little bow to them with any of the bad boy GML lights hanging in them. I would feel much safer if I still had my gorillla tent. 😂

I’d say I would like to see a comparison between The new mammoth emerald green and this light. Me personally tends more to mammoth due to fuller spectrum, and also it has space to hang additional uvb bars in between to make it 100% full spectrum.

The Borg absolutely blows the mammoth light you mentioned way outta the ballpark. There isn’t much competition there, you could replicate the same spectrum as the mammoth with this borg if you desired it seems, also they have a UV bar coming out in month or so with brand new diodes
@@wesh866 hey I’m not saying that the borg is bad. In comparison it’s a close second place. If you would look into detail the same way, you would understand what I’ve meant👌🏽. And replicate the same spectrum is not possible since mammoth has also plant centric (green) chips built in as only light on the Market. Also remember that the borg is intended to run at about 750 watts while mammoth runs regular at 880 watts, with the uv bars it would be 980.
I could go on but I think the point is clear, the best would be a side by side comparison between the two 🍀.

1 - The Borg is capable of running most spectrums at over 1000 watts which is way too much in a 5 by 5 area. There is no reason to run over 750 watts with our efficacy.
2 - No company has a spectrum that can't be copied!
3 - If their spectrum is legit , why is wiped off the front of every post , where it was on many before?
4 - Do you really think when someone redesigns a light and sells it for cheaper with diodes they won't disclose is better ?
5 - The Borg can do their spectrum more efficiently than theirs is. 5600 Diodes vs a little over 3000.

id like to see this tested at a actual usable height with this light no ones using it at 24 inches from your plants id raise it all the way to the top of the tent then test par from there also are there any uv leds on this? for the price its at id expect some uv leds i just looked at there web site and they got the average at 48 inches hanging height to be 1222 with is still amazing and way more usable then at this height

No UV?
Yeah it has a few. UV is best done as a stand alone bar though for 3 reasons. A few UV diodes on an entire fixture is doing little to nothing, you don't need/want it on for the full grow and UV diodes burn out faster than most other colors so you don't want a bunch of burnt diodes in your board.

It's not really meant to run at 1500w. It's meant to run at 600-750 with any spectrum you wish. I grow with up to 1400 PAR personally.

Do you understand specs? It has 2 680 watt drivers, a 200 watt driver and a 100 watt driver all inventronics. I would bet I was as broke as you or more broke 13 years ago before I started growing. I had a shitty rundown 1 bedroom apartment, worked a shit job and lived paycheck to paycheck. What I didn't do was go around acting like a knob about any light I couldn't afford in youtube comments. I made it happen instead of making excuses.
