I love the pre-sets but it has too much power that will never be used. They should put that tech in the lower wattage lights.
The tech is in the power that isn't used. How else are you going to be able to tune the spectrum to what you want if every diode is in use all the time?? Didn't really think that one through. 😂
I'd bet the tent gets fairly toasty in stretch/flower with the massive driver attached. Run that thing wide open with CO2, it would chug electricity at 1500 W. Good show.
It's not really meant to run at 1500 all the time. It's meant to run at 600-750 with a whatever tuned spectrum you like.
If you're running it at 700 watt its going to run cooler than any 700 watt fixture by a lot! It has 10 bars with the most efficient heat sinks in the world. Most fixtures have 1500 to 3000 diodes and do not use EVO diodes which are 2 to 4% more efficient and cost 40% more.

@@dillonradke4875 We made a mistake in the manual that says LM301H , LM301H EVO MINT, OSRAM 450nm,660nm,730nm. It should of said LM301H, LM301H EVO, LM301H EVO MINT WHITE, OSRAM 450nm 660nm, 730nm. Evo diodes cost roughly 40% more than LM301H. This fixture has 70 LM301H EVO diodes. thank you for your support. Cheers

Personally I’d go borg evo. The spectrum tuning is great and it being a folder it’s much easier to put up and move if needed. The tent ultimate is just massive. Literally 5x5. Its strength is incredibly even coverage. I will be reviewing the Borg evo soon. I reviewed the voyager too which as limited spectrum tuning. Discount code j2g to save $$$

I got an ac infinity tent will the tent hold the legs with driver or do you set driver outside tent? And i didnt get no shades. Dang.

I haven't tested any of the AC infinity tents so I'm not really sure about that. It's a heavy light. The driver box is a lot of the weight. If you can run it outside I would. My spider farmer tents can hold it, the 4x4 better than the 5x5 though. The 5x5 poles are so long they bend much easier so they have a nice little bow to them with any of the bad boy GML lights hanging in them. I would feel much safer if I still had my gorillla tent. 😂

@@Justintime2growso glad I happened to get a gorilla 5x5 with this light! Knew it would be heavy but man.., of it weren't for the overlapping 4 bar ceiling supports in the GG I don't know if it's hold haha. I tested it by doing pull ups on the GG tent first...

This is the most advanced light with the best parts I've ever seen really. Thinkgrow looks like a very standard bar setup that you can get from a number of companies.

A lot of us have to play heat in the factor of our LEDs that we're buying I'm still in the market for a big huge LED setup I want a big rack like yours That one looks nice I'm curious of how hot they run in a grow tent not the heat of the lighting but the actual heat Fahrenheit the temperature the lights put off when they run for about 2 hours in a grow tent ... are they about 130° Fahrenheit like the LM301H evos ... Those run pretty darn hot ...They overpower the lm301h evos most companies.
Yours isn't a mainstream company usually when I do electrical item reviews I will state the temperature of the item that I'm using and running and how hot it gets in with the wattage and power consumption also
@@SteveJ619 That is not how things work. I'd be happy to try and explain. A watt is watt, one watt equals 3.41 BTU's. The more diodes you have in your fixture, the cooler they will run because less wattage is running through each one. Most companies have 2000 to 3000 diodes in their fixtures. This fixture has 5600 diodes. These diodes are going to run cooler than any other fixture when comparing equal wattage. I hope that helps. Cheers

@@SteveJ619 Hey man, you seem to be VERY confused and for some reason VERY angry. An led diode that is more efficient is going to also naturally be less heat because of that efficiency. It's just physics. So EVOs being more efficient will also have less heat. There is no "they run hot". Whoever told you that has their head so far up their own ass they are generating the 1.21 jiggawatts needed to travel back in time. Not to mention the heat test is at the end of the video, just watch it. The light runs cooler than most I've tested.

Very little is manufactured in the US anymore. This is also a Canadian company so whoever you heard that from doesn't know what they're talking about. Most of the components that would go into a grow light are made in China. There are no real US made led grow lights. There are US owned companies and US assembled but not 100% made in the USA.
@@Justintime2grow I work in OEM automotive world. So I understand that components are not manufactured here. But if assembly, especially the soldering and SMT (surface mount technology) is done in the west or Europe…it’s 10 times more likely to last longer if the electrical components are assembled here.
@@Justintime2grow thank you for the feedback…I wouldn’t say who shared this info with me doesn’t know what he was talking about. My question may have been too vague to be clear. I am mostly concerned about the driver assembly and soldering. This is the weakest point of any electric component. Where assembled and final inspections are done matter.

Because of youtubes terrible cannabis policies. Some they let do it without issues and then others they harass, remove videos and strike them until the channel is removed entirely. They actually removed my channel entirely a few years ago and it took me almost a year to get it back. Now I do light videos.

More than CO2 you better be pumping some steroids and cocaine in there. It's not meant to run full blast. It's meant to run at 600-750w at your chosen tuned spectrum.

No UV?
Yeah it has a few. UV is best done as a stand alone bar though for 3 reasons. A few UV diodes on an entire fixture is doing little to nothing, you don't need/want it on for the full grow and UV diodes burn out faster than most other colors so you don't want a bunch of burnt diodes in your board.

id like to see this tested at a actual usable height with this light no ones using it at 24 inches from your plants id raise it all the way to the top of the tent then test par from there also are there any uv leds on this? for the price its at id expect some uv leds i just looked at there web site and they got the average at 48 inches hanging height to be 1222 with is still amazing and way more usable then at this height

I’d say I would like to see a comparison between The new mammoth emerald green and this light. Me personally tends more to mammoth due to fuller spectrum, and also it has space to hang additional uvb bars in between to make it 100% full spectrum.
Nonetheless impressive new light from GML and also nice too see (at least top brands) trying to go different directions💯👏🏽👌🏽

The Borg absolutely blows the mammoth light you mentioned way outta the ballpark. There isn’t much competition there, you could replicate the same spectrum as the mammoth with this borg if you desired it seems, also they have a UV bar coming out in month or so with brand new diodes
@@wesh866 hey I’m not saying that the borg is bad. In comparison it’s a close second place. If you would look into detail the same way, you would understand what I’ve meant👌🏽. And replicate the same spectrum is not possible since mammoth has also plant centric (green) chips built in as only light on the Market. Also remember that the borg is intended to run at about 750 watts while mammoth runs regular at 880 watts, with the uv bars it would be 980.
I could go on but I think the point is clear, the best would be a side by side comparison between the two 🍀.

FACTS INCOMING
1 - The Borg is capable of running most spectrums at over 1000 watts which is way too much in a 5 by 5 area. There is no reason to run over 750 watts with our efficacy.
2 - No company has a spectrum that can't be copied!
3 - If their spectrum is legit , why is wiped off the front of every post , where it was on many before?
4 - Do you really think when someone redesigns a light and sells it for cheaper with diodes they won't disclose is better ?
5 - The Borg can do their spectrum more efficiently than theirs is. 5600 Diodes vs a little over 3000.

@@joshbeck289 Well "up to" 1400. Usually around 800-1200 but sometimes a cola will push up and get 1400 or more. Tell youtube that their cannabis policies suck. I would still be doing grow videos here if they didn't constantly evaporate cannabis channels at random.

$2100 is quite a chunk of change, but that is a gorgeous light. Im running 8 HLG Scorpion Diablos right now, and theyre great lights too. But the 4 channel, IP66 fixture makes me drool 🤤

I'll probably buy 2 of these Grandmaster fixtures and run them in a separate room. Sometimes I have to use my big room for running seeds and doing a pheno hunt. It would be nice to have a second smaller room for blooming untested genetics instead of having to run them in the money room. Or for running long bloomers like Haze strains.
Just a suggestion for your PAR readings in the future. Taking readings from the floor of the tent is unrealistic. The canopy is usually a minimum of 24" off the floor, and more likely to be around 36" off the floor. Then you don't get reflection interference from the vent holes, sewn in pockets, and seams.

Not to mention I already told you how you can afford a light like this. Financing. 6 months no interest, grow your grow, sell it then pay off the light. Then you have a light for 5 years. That's called being smart. If you already ruined your credit and can't do that don't blame me, blame you. You seem to just want everyone to take pity on you and maybe if you complain about the price enough someone's gonna buy you one.
I would bet I was as broke as you or more broke 13 years ago before I started growing. I had a shitty rundown 1 bedroom apartment, worked a shit job and lived paycheck to paycheck. I know what it's like. I also know you can't get out of it without making changes and stop making excuses. I couldn't even afford a HPS setup when I started. I financed it. What I didn't do was go around acting like a knob about any light I couldn't afford in youtube comments. I made it happen instead of making excuses. The price of this light should have motivated you to strive for it, not to complain you "can't" afford it.

Do you understand specs? It has 2 680 watt drivers, a 200 watt driver and a 100 watt driver all inventronics. With 5600 diodes ( 70% Evo which cost 40% more) Comparing it to a light with one driver with half the diodes doesn't make sense? Our Tarantula Torch 730, is 730 watts for 730 usd.
