I am so pleased Detroit Speed made this video! There is a LOT of bonus information contained that is not in the instructions. I am currently installing the aluma frame in my 1964 1/2 Mustang and cannot wait to give it a spin at the track!
I work for a major aircraft manufacture and both the DSE parts and installation are near aviation quality. This suspension may be relatively expensive but represents real value.
@@TheRoadhammer379 . It was a challenge to get the OP out and try something new. Clearly your mom must’ve beat you as a child to harbor so much anger for such a simple phrase. Not everything you read is meant to be dickish, you snowflake.
Its great to do the install on unpainted dynacorn bodies, but I wish the instructions said at which point its a good idea to paint things. I am doing this to an already painted car.
This car came to us as a painted roller. As a general rule of thumb, paint EVERY bare metal surface that you have grinded and welded on to protect from rust in the future.
The beginning of the video says to wear ear plugs, but Mr. MdDonald isn't wearing them when cutting the sheet metal. . .But that looks like an incredible suspension and steering system!
HOLY SH%T !!!! I HAVE NEVER SEEN THIS KIND OF DETAIL ON ANY RETROFIT FOR ANY CAR... NEW OR OLD !!! OMG !!! MY DREAM IS A 65 GTO CONVERTIBLE WITH AN LS3... DONE BY DETROIT SPEED ! I WONDER WHAT THAT WOULD COST ME ? I WOULD WANT A MUNCIE M22 ROCK CRUSHER 4 SPEED POWER BRAKES AND STEERING (QUICK RATIO!) LETS SEE... I WOULD WANT THE WORKS PERTAINING TO THE FRAME AND SUSPENSION ! I JUST CANT BELIEVE ALL THE TECHNICAL KNOW HOW YOU GUYS ARE PUTTING INTO THESE CARS! I GUESS THE REASON PEOPLE USE QA1 AND RIDE TECH AND ALL THE OTHERS IS BECAUSE THEY CANT AFFORD THE BEST !!!!
@@ThunderAppeal so you come on here with nothing more to say than “welder sucks”? You offer no specifics nor any tips to improve? You have a sad and meager existence. Go post some of your welding skills to refute any claims I’ve made, otherwise keep your comments to yourself.

Thank you Austin! We'd love to see more of your project as you make progress.

We appreciate the compliment Miles!
This is a crazy amount of work.
Scared of a little work?

I wonder what ride quality is like for the street? Looks very interesting!

Can you use this with a big block though?
Yes, but you will have to fab engine side mounts if it is a 385 series engine.

OH ! I FORGOT THE MOST IMPORTANT THING... THE MUNCIE SHOULD BE BUILT BY PAUL CANGIALOSI !!!!!!
Real fabricators know it's about that Milwaukee Inkzall. Screw sharpies.
Thanks a lot Mr! Your comment just cost me about $12 bucks at Home Depot. Gotta try them out!!! LOL!!!
Whoever this welder is he sucks.
He is a perfect example of what a horrible welder looks like.
Let us see your welds. Have a feeling your comments reside in some jealousy.
@@Rudderify Whether I am jealous or not does not detract from the fact that the welder sucks.

Do you feel better getting that of you chest?
This isn’t a welding tutorial…. It’s the front end fitting tutorial.
