Argentinian Spanish is different from the one spoken in other Latin American countries, and if you listen to a person from the center/east of the country, it sounds like an Italian who is overly confident with his Spanish speaking skills. Many Argentinian colloquialisms derive from Italian. And also the Argentinian food, although it has Spanish and Amerindian roots, is heavily influenced by Italian cuisine. And yes, that hand gesture you made, we do that too. Pretty much any hand gesture they do in Italy, you'll be able to use in Argentina (I guess that's how immigrants communicated at first? LOL)

Actually, Argentina doesn't consider Uruguay as a friend at all, most people call it "la provincia rebelde" (the rebellious province) because it's very similar to our country when it comes to speaking, food, traditions, etc., and it's also smaller than a lot of the argentinian provinces. It's something mutual tho. If we have to chose a friendly border/south American country, we would definitely say Perú, no doubt about it. Hope you come soon, it's a beautiful country
