I knew Bill through working with him at a Whitstable boatyard. ARP. He would always teach you something if you need to learn new working methods. Nice bloke. The 'Game Cock' was a beautiful vessel from the past, looked after by a true Whitstable seaman.
Was his name Bill Coleman ? I remember him so well a very recognisable face in Whitstable Who was the guy on the boat with the beard I remember him to
It’s so wonderful to follow these hardworking fishermen, made of real commitment, aren’t they all happy working !
yeh physically its very demanding and dangerous, being a fisherman can pay very well, but can also pay very badly, depends on what your catch is like.
i wonder what these men would think of todays oyster farming methods in whitstable.
I didn't managed to find such a program "Finding Out" in my TV Schedule for October 20th, 1980. Was is a part of the bigger program?
What happened to all the 'This is Your Life' episodes?
Proper Whitstable accent.
thanks.
