For your 1/12 jig head with a big enough hook just use a higher weight jighead with a big enough hook and file or grind the weight down to the desired weight and shape

Imagine using 30pd in the shallows of Moreton bay. Don’t know about you but sub 5m I’ve had to resort to 10pd line/leader.

Mono is way more abrasive resistant than flouro, you are incorrect on that point
