I was wondering who that artist was at the end. Then when I realised it was you it genuinely made me cry. I used to be in a band years ago and am on a similar journey to you. You're a massive inspiration Bruce. You should be very proud of yourself. Keep doing what you're doing

Never seen a yurt, didn’t realise it’s a thing of beauty! That’s going to be an amazing space for your family to love while you get your home to where you want it. I’m old enough to know that life isn’t all sunshine and flowers, but you make me forget this for a little while. Wishing you much joy in your yurt x
Well done Bruce and friends. You did a great job of decking and yurt. It was good to see Annie helping out too 🙏🏡🌞 loved the song at the end, beautifully sung 🎸🎶
Thank you Bruce for this beautiful video, for the wonderful voice and song. It’s been 19 years since I put my first yurt up. It was a magical experience and changed the direction of my life. That yurt was the inspiration for starting the Yurt Workshop. Watching your video brought back those wonderful memories. Thank you.
No worries Rob. It’s an absolute beauty of a space and we love it. Looking forward to moving into it. I have a feeling we may never want to move out of it
Ah the yurt looks fantastic Bruce. Great job putting it up with everyone. The song is beautiful and sung from the soul. Keep living your best life man, you all deserve it ❤️
Thanks, Bruce. Your song has me both balling with tears but also raging with optimism and has helped to give me the energy I need to make that step.. #movingouttonthewild #notlettinggooftherope
It is a thing of BEAUTY. All of it. Thank you for sharing these moments with us. Your talent is incredible Bruce - I mean - how you even edit all these videos is genius, never mind all the building skills, the comedy (!), the drama and of COURSE, you playing and singing. Beautiful family - hi to Annie. Much, much love to you all and huge congratulations on your yurt ❤️❤️❤️
This was just a wonderful video! I love that you show your accomplishments and are honest about your struggles. Gotta love when community comes in and helps also with the motivation. Really loved the song in the end! Grew up with lots of original music around and it reminded me about the mood it sets you in when someone sings a song quietly for themselves that is heartfelt. Thank you for sharing this! Such a lovely place you two are creating there! Looks absolutely gorgeous!
Love it! Well done, Bruce - and everyone else who helped - you should be very proud 😊👏👏 Beautiful song too, was a nice surprise to see it was you singing it! I welled up up a bit thinking about how you and your family have achieved so much and are making such lovely memories 🥰

I've noticed that most yurts are designed without eave overhangs. Roof water simply runs down the exterior walls where it can penetrate around openings, disrupt foundations and freeze on side walls in during cold seasons. It's not a good idea for a permanent dwelling. Also it appears that R-values often are 100% dependent on foil bubble wrap of varying thickness; insulation performance claims and values of these products are generally unsupported and highly disputed by reputable construction thermal testing. No one seems to make allowance for the impermeability of PVC tarp exterior coverings. Interior trapped moisture vapor can be controlled, but it should be designed into the project.
