As it was pointed out to me by a few viewers, you can also hold open the bolt, push the ramp out of the way and then depress the bolt release button on the side. Pressing once will eject 1 round, while holding it down will dump them all. You may have to apply some serious pressure, as the button is very stiff! I couldn't get it to work at first until I really layed into it.

It seems there are 2 or 3 versions of this gun. I do believe, however, that mine had a flaw as well - the mag spring was too soft and the follower is thin plastic junk. Replacement of those 2 parts made a huge difference in mine.
Yeah I got the barrel charging handle from GG&G, btu found it to be too heavy, so I sent it back. I looked and found a combat charging handle from Choate that I like better. It's a paddle and alot lighter.
I have the Choate Paddle handle too, I am going to have someone weld a retention piece on it so it doesn't fly out and see how that one works. It is a good 10g lighter.
So how does the next round cycle into the lifter chamber? Cycling the bolt only ejects the spent round - what releases the next round from the tube, is it inertia from discharge?
I am interested in going with the 8 shell mag, but it looks like you have a different choke on there than what comes with the WH OH! I just got my Warthog yesterday for $254.00 here in town on sale at Smith & Edwards. Being new from the factory, the load port is rounded now and the bolt lock looks like it is firmly seated up in the barrel catch.
I actually did a separate video about using the rapid unloading feature 😎 That choke I have in the video is a Light Modified extended choke from Carleson’s. You can use any Benelli/Beretta Mobile choke. It appears that there are at least 3 versions of this gun judging from the internal parts that I have seen so far. You have one of the newer ones. Mine fully seats as well. Some folks here have posted about buying the gun for as low as $169 🤯 4000 rounds and counting, so far its held up nicely!

Weird that I get the shotgun last, but I got it, and the action is super smooth. It's what made me consider buying it before when I first saw it in Rural King.
I just bought a warthog and I am having trouble with loading the magazine. I have to hold the bolt back a little ways and then the shells will slide in all the way. If I don't the ramp seems to not go down far enough to allow the shell to be inserted all the way. any suggestions? I have watched a number of your videos and I like the mods you have done.
If the shells are getting stuck where the brass starts, try thoroughly cleaning the shell catch. Mine was extremely stiff due to left over packing grease and was originally causing this issue. Lots of solvent and a brush resolved the problem. If your shell catch is hard to depress, this is probably the cause.
OKAY. You just need one more modification. A BAYONET! Also, on mine it wasn't the sides of the chamber where you load cartridges that cut my thumb real bad, it was the gate. When I pushed in the first round with my thumb, the gate popped back up enough to slice the crap out of the top of my thumb. I sanded it down a bit and it's better.
Lol, don't know if I can find a bayonet lug. Besides, this pig is heavy enough as it is. I guess I'll find out one day if my gate is sharp, haven't had a run in yet.
I noticed that the charging handle scraped against the body. I didnt think it was normal so i took it off mine, but insee yours have that small wear mark. Ill end up putting it back on then after seeing this on yours
FYI I don't use that charging handle anymore, after about 80-90 shots, it started flying off. It doesn't have the retention tab like the original one. I'm going to have someone weld a bead on it that I can grind down to form a new tab.

The loading port doesn't stay down on mine and if does it goes up very quickly any idea how to fix it? I took it apart and from what i can tell its the side metal thing we use to unload that holds it down but i might be wrong
How are doing JW here" question can you tell me about the load and reload process. My boss hog bolt release doesn't fully function properly. As I load 1 in the chamber hit my bolt release I can't load shells into the magazine due to the lever won't function.

Well, I purchased one new about 3 weeks ago. So far I will not accept a shell in the magazine. It gets up to the brass and stops completely. I removed the plug. The switch on the trigger is very hard to move. Any hints? I hate to send it in before I even get a round thru it...
My follower was causing me issues where it was binding while trying to load, one of the reasons I replaced it. I had already cut the magazine tube end off so this was an easy swap. Another cause may be the shell latch...clean it very well - mine was packed with thick grease. Without performing warranty destroying surgery like I did, you would have to take the magazine tube off to replacethe follower.. (That requires effort, but doesn't void the warranty.) Obviously you can also send it in to get checked out if you don't want to do this. As far as the trigger, I assume you are talking about the safety? If so, you can remove the trigger group and clean it well to see if that resolves the issue.
@@AMCITADEL after further inspection the loading port is pretty grime....so I'll clean it and see if that helps. And no not the safety. There is the safety and the " bolt hanging latch ". Plus the release button forward on the receiver. And of course the magnificent owners manual has just been such a great help. I've owned 1100 Remingtons, Browning A5 and a couple of others. If I'm not able to correct whatever is wrong with the loading port, I will video its destruction on the oak in the back yard. I don't suffer pos guns well. I've watched several vids on it, with yours being the most promising. Thanks for the tip.

I put the extended magazine tube on the shotgun. And sometimes it jams up and the shells dont eject out of the magazine tube. When i did the install, i barely cut any of the magazines tube. Actually i barely cut it at all. When i made the cut, there was still a ledge on the barrel so i just dremeled it down. And now id say out of the ten time i unload the shells, it occurs once that the follower gets stuck. Any solutions?
I have a friend who did this conversion and he was having a similar issue. He switched to a Delrin follower and to me knowledge he has not had the issue since. Just curious, does it hang up the loading when you are firing it or just when loading/unloading?
@@AMCITADEL it only gets hung up when i am loading and unloading the gun. I have not had problems with it getting stuck while shooting. But when i do shoot, the gun doesnt want to put in the next shell fully sometimes
I found that the stock spring AND the spring from the magazine extension are a little anemic. The stock follower is crap also, are you using the follower that came with the extension tube? A Wolf spring and a delrin (or highly polished SS) follower would most likely resolve your issue. Less than $40 for both combined. There are links in the description. Just to be safe, hit the inside of the cut edge with some 600+grit sandpaper just to make sure there's nothing to hang on.
@@AMCITADEL i bought a follower that u suggested in one of your videos. And i used the spring that came with the mag tube. I did sand down the magazine tube so that nothing gets caught but it still does on occasion
Just in case you were still wondering, I bought it from gg&g Tactical, its a handle for the Remington 1100. If you can weld, or know someone who can hook you up, it will work if you weld on a retention tab like the original

Unfortunately while that may work on a different shotgun, that method does not work on the warthog.

Yeah, I saw one with issues. I believe the feed issues are fixed by swapping the follower and the mag spring.

Depending on your local laws, you may have a plug in the tube.
You can actually unload it just by pushing the button you don’t have to reach in there and push it from the inside

I used the Carlson's 8 shot tube thats for the Benelli Nova/Super Nova. There are links in the description.

Try cleaning the shell catch area with tons of solvent. Mine was still packed full of grease

As I do not have a RIA X4 to do a side-by-side comparison, unfortunately, I can not answer this question with any degree of certainty.

What sizes shell you running with the tube extension
The 8 shot holds 7+1 of 3 inch or 2-3/4 high brass, or 8+1 of 2-3/4 low brass

@@AMCITADEL i bought a follower that u suggested in one of your videos. And i used the spring that came with the mag tube. I did sand down the magazine tube so that nothing gets caught but it still does on occasion

That handle was for a Remington 1100. I do not recommend using that handle, it does not stay seated during firing.

Just in case you were still wondering, I bought it from gg&g Tactical, its a handle for the Remington 1100. If you can weld, or know someone who can hook you up, it will work if you weld on a retention tab like the original

I have the same shotgun....there is nothing semi auto about mine at all...buyer beware now.
