Thanks for showing us an overview of the board, that's actually pretty helpful, as I'm gonna get one myself.
You’re welcome. I didn’t see one so I figured many people would love to see the board. I was searching and wishing I had a video before I made the purchase. So I was like it’s the least I could do for others who maybe searching
I just ordered one and i been looking for days. I glad u made one i wish you would have did a whole tutorial on putting it together. LOL
I just finished filming the video. Off to edit it and I'll up load it soon
I had to do a video I was like how is there no video for this? Only the plus or plus with WI-Fi. I can take my pc apart and do one. It’s fairly easy. I will do a more in depth video and up load it.
Do you know what's the main difference between this and the B550-Plus? I do know the B550-Pro has a better power delivery but less USB 3.2 ports on the back I/O.
The pro has four 2.0 and the plus replaces two of those with two 3.2 not much difference
plus has wire less wifi, pro dont
I plan to buy this mobo for my Ryzen R7 5700X. I think I will need a bios flashback for that cpu to support it. It has a bios flashback button in the rear?
Yes it does. I would advise flashing it first. Look at the plate it comes with to see what USB slot is for the bios. I love this mobo
is ryzen 9 5900x compatabile with the motherbaord thank you
Yes the website says the ryzen 9 5900, 5900x, and the 5950x all work with this board. Make sure you flash the board first just in case the bios is not updated.
what's difference to this pro and just the plus?
The Plus has a 8+2 DrMos power stage. The Pro has a 12+2 DrMOS power stage and 8+4 pin ProCool sockets.
The Pro has a front panel USB Type-C connector as well as the standard 3.2 Gen 1 front connector
They have pretty much the same connectors in the back however, the Pro has 4 x USB 2.0 and the Plus takes those same four spots and gives you 2 x USB 2.0 and 2 x USB 3.2 Gen 1 (much better IMO)
You get two Aura addressable Gen 2 headers on the Pro and only one on the Plus.
Now the Plus and the Plus (WiFi) are the exact same except the plus (Wifi) has the on-board Wi-fi 6. The Plus (WiFi II) is the same as the other Plus (WiFi) but it added the front panel USB Type-c connector and the additional addressable header that the Pro has.
If i had to pick one out of the Pro, Plus, Plus (WiFi) and the Plus (WiFi II) I would go with the Plus (WiFi II) and Pro second. I went with the Pro because the Plus (WiFi II) had an still has a ship date of November 16th on Amazon and I got the Pro same day. I also bought the ASUS WiFi 6E + Bluetooth 5.2 PCI-E Expansion Card (PCE-AXE58BT) to give my board Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2.
But it really depends on what you are looking for in your build.
Is there a tpm chip slot?
Yes it has 1 tpm header (14-1 pin)
is it ready for the 5000s without bios update?
Yup thats what i did
Yes it is. However, the bios is still outdated it’s from 2021. So I had to update the bios after I got into windows anyway. Flash it first
the pro is waste to buy so yall know, Plus wifi is better :)
I enjoy my pro. But to each their own
