Nice! I am building quite similar PC, now. Just not with water cooling. Your work is perfect. So thumbs up, my friend. Many thanks and you are right - the cable management is soooo boring but also very important.
Very nice video and informative, especially for new builders. The only concern i have is that the weight of the eight-pin cable you connected your gpu with will gradually bend the gpu pcb since it doesnt have a backplate to support it. Keep that in mind and update me if you can, because i am going to build my own new pc with the identical TD500L case and TUF B550m motherboard and i will be using a 3 fan RX7600 which has substantially more weight.
I too have a B550-pro and a ryzen 5, that's why I got suggested your vid probably. My previous pc was installed by a pro in early 2014, but this time I tried myself (july/august this year), and I'm really proud. I used the parts I had, except the new B550, RAM, ryzen5, GPU and a new m.2 250GB. I enjoyed watching, thanks.
Hey man i have a prebuilt pc looking to swap the mobo. I have chosen this one. Im new in pc building so what do i need to do to keep my games and not have to reinstall windows? Also good video
I did that with this one. link the Windows Key to your Microsoft account so you can activate Windows on the new Motherboard. If it's OEM you can't do it. Follow this link to link your account support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/activate-windows-c39005d4-95ee-b91e-b399-2820fda32227. You'll also want to uninstall old drivers and install new ones. Yes it is needed however, I was on a tile floor doing the build and I made sure to discharge static when I started filming. The Plus has a 8+2 DrMos power stage. The Pro has a 12+2 DrMOS power stage and 8+4 pin ProCool sockets. The Pro has a front panel USB Type-C connector as well as the standard 3.2 Gen 1 front connector They have pretty much the same connectors in the back however, the Pro has 4 x USB 2.0 and the Plus takes those same four spots and gives you 2 x USB 2.0 and 2 x USB 3.2 Gen 1 (much better IMO) You get two Aura addressable Gen 2 headers on the Pro and only one on the Plus. Now the Plus and the Plus (WiFi) are the exact same except the plus (Wifi) has the on-board Wi-fi 6. The Plus (WiFi II) is the same as the other Plus (WiFi) but it added the front panel USB Type-c connector and the additional addressable header that the Pro has. If i had to pick one out of the Pro, Plus, Plus (WiFi) and the Plus (WiFi II) I would go with the Plus (WiFi II) and Pro second. I went with the Pro because the Plus (WiFi II) had a delayed ship date on Amazon and I got the Pro same day. I also bought the ASUS WiFi 6E + Bluetooth 5.2 PCI-E Expansion Card (PCE-AXE58BT) to give my board Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2. But it really depends on what you are looking for in your build.
This actually helped me a lot. I have an ASUS TUF Gaming B550-Pro paired with a AMD Ryzen 5 pro 5650g (integrated graphics). And I need to install a WIFI card and a separate graphics card so I can get better performance.
Glad to help. The guild request it. And after tearing my pc apart twice we have a video. I had fun each time so it was never a hassle. Again glad to help
You’re welcome. Good luck on your build. They are fun. Frustrating at times but still fun. You get that accomplished feeling when it’s all said and done
Hi @NLV Assassin...great video...very informative...I thank you for it. Can you tell me the exact name of the SSD cable and/or link you mentioned @ 32:28 and @ 55:22 .... It would help a great deal with my cable management in my first build. Thank you soo much NLV ASSASSIN.
My friends and I call them mux but the true name is molex. You want to use the molex cable that comes with your power supply then order this SATA 6G Data Cable, SATA Power 2-In-1 Extension Cord, LP4 IDE 4 pin to SATA 15P Female with Serial ATA III 7 Pin Female for HDD, SSD, Optical Drives, DVD Burners, PCI Cards etc - 19.7in (2 Pack) a.co/d/8vEzErd
No you don’t have to. But you should do it. It comes ready to go for Ryzen 5. However, it was the initial bios from the 5600x launch. Download the latest bios on a flash drive. Open the mobo, put it on top of the mobo box. hook up your psu 24 pin and cpu power to the board. Put the flash drive in the bios usb. Power on your psu and hold the bios button down for 3 seconds. Light will flash green and keeps flashing. When it stops flashing the bios update is complete. Or you can just build your pc and update it once you setup and login to your pc. I flashed it first just in case

Thank you bro u helped me a lot (1st build in my life)❤
Greetings from Italy ❤
Oh so happy to help. I love building and thought I'd like to help those who built on this board and in general. Cheers!

Great. It feels so good to build it yourself right? Glad you enjoyed it
@@nlvassassin Yeah it's really impressive what one can do with only the interest & effort 😄
Indeed
Thank you for the video, had to install a graphics card on the same motherboard and this was very helpful. Have a good one (y)
Glad it helped!
Nice, going to do a budget gaming build on that board.
Definitely can. Good luck on the build.
Well done, very informative, thanks for your time & effort!

Detailed build -- thanks for the effort! But is wearing a static strap not needed? So what's the difference between this PRO board and the PLUS board?

I'll be getting my gaming plus wifi 2 tomorrow. Replacing my b550 tomahawk because of issues and because asus board has Bluetooth 5.2
How did the install go?
@NLV ASSASSIN it went well im very happy with it so far
My ram sticks won't click in.. idk what to do and I really tried to push them in, but they won't click in.
anything blocking it? If not I would reach out to ASUS or return the board.
