My parents also didn't allow me to buy a PC first until I convinced them. I've put together a computer before but it was over a decade ago. I remember hating the tedious process of cable management so I was going to hire GeekSquad to come to my house to put it together for me. When I asked them if I need to provide the thermal paste, they didn't know what thermal paste was and put me on hold for 10 minutes to figure out what I was trying to ask. it was at that point I cancelled the appointment and decided I would just do it myself. And now I'm here.

      @@realitor Excellent Review by cxxxxp
I got this for my birthday recently and it was a tremendous update from a 10 y.o. Wacom Bamboo graphics pad. I use this as a hobby, not professionally.
The size provides plenty of working space and it is lightweight for its size.
The screen is vibrant bright and has all the detail I need.
The drawing experience is fantastic - smooth, accurate, and no lag on a 2015 macbook pro using either photoshop or illustrator.
The pen is very comfortable to use and the pressure sensitivity is excellent and adjustable. Shortcuts customisable.
I recommend buying a 2-finger drawing glove as it helps in drawing smooth, longer lines because your hand won't stick to the screen at all.
It would be a lot easier with touch input to pan/zoom, and also helpful if the Cintiq was compatible with a handheld remote with shortcuts. In saying this, being the lighter version, this is totally worth the money. Although the stand should be included with the device in my opinion. :)
I wasn't actually aware it needed a computer to run but I always use it at home anyway and PC software is better to work with, I am extremely happy with this after one month of use and have invested in a 17" laptop case to protect it. (Posted on 5/06/2019)

This video is immensely helpful. I hadn't build a desktop since 2007 for undergrad, and even then I was just following a friend's lead as I had zero clue what to do on my own. But watching this video I managed to successfully build a computer for my wife's birthday. She was long overdue for a better work station to facilitate her art projects.
My only little point of confusion during this video was plugging in the power led, power and reset buttons cables. It just wasn't very clear from the camera angle what was going on and Linus's verbal explanation didn't track for me without a closeup visual of the pins. So I had to look elsewhere for a more detailed video of that one little thing.

    This was helpful, thanks Linus.
Just finished a 7 hour build session. Need to test if it posts but too tired atm.
The biggest issues I ran into while building. Correct AM4 Cpu position. Figuring out what my case's cables even did. Figuring out my RGB connections. Motherboard cable refusing to let me close the side panel. Didn't know RGB needed to be plugged into the PSU using Sata. Trying to put tiny screws/cables into a small space. Bad lighting so it was hard to see what I was doing while casting a shadow into my black case.
Seeing it all put together was a gratifying feeling though.
