- "Pronoms" is a trans short film directed by Roméo Bertrand, who was a trans cinema student at the time of the shooting. The film is made with a trans cast. This was made in 2017 by us and for us. Hope you'll enjoy it!
Synopsis: It can be hard to figure out your own gender when nobody has ever told you some other options existed. When Alice meets Sora, a genderfluid person who asks about her pronoms, many things start to change and to suddendly make sense. After a journey of self discovery it is now time to show yourself to the world.

I love the smile at the end, when vic said, "he/him." His reaction is pretty similar to mine. Im a young trans male that goes by he/they. Only a few of my friends know about my preferred pronouns. (Not parents JHGJF). Idk i just felt like this comment needed to be said cuz this video is really important to me :)
Update now two years later💃 I came out to my parents, my pronouns went from he/they to he/him, and honestly i'm really glad i came out. i was really terrified at first, but talking to someone about my transition made my life so much better. it doesn't have to be your parent, it can be a friend or a sibling. just let someone you trust know. i promise you'll feel so much better guys

I came out a couple years ago and have been pretty vocal about who I am. My entire family says "No you're not. You just think you are."

Hello, my name is Senya, I am a non-binary person from Russia. Literally two weeks ago, we passed a law with which any LGBTQ+ person can be arrested for 12 years. I'm scared. I'm in danger, my friends are in danger, my partners are in danger. I don’t have the opportunity to leave Russia, and the only thing that remains for me is to fight and believe that someday such a world shown in this film will become real in our country. thank you very much for the film. it gives me strength to keep moving forward. I burst into tears... the issues raised in the film are very familiar to me. you talked about it very well, conveyed these feelings very subtly. and it was also very happy to see alex bertie!! I also watched it when I was figuring out my gender 💛

@@parttime_kpopstan8061 Yes im french , the only problem is all the words that you prononce the same way and how to conjugate , there's too many ways to conjugate past present and futur ,and also every object have a gender. For exemple in french if you wanna talk about a table you'll have to say " she" , yes a table is a girl in french.
Also I'm sorry for my english I'm only 13 years old and what we learn in french school is not enough to have a conversation so I try to learn by myself-
@@keiyhval6872 I'm 13 too and I have French in school and it's cunfusing as heck sometimes, but in German every object has a gender too, there is even one more, in French it's le and la and in German it's Der die and das (das is neutral) but the genders for objects are diffrent in French, for example Table is male in German xD And you're english is pretty good, I'm self taught in English too. French and German are a bit simlilar sometimes but the pronounciation is very diffrent
Oh and I like watching French movies or short films sometimes but without subtitles to see how much I can understand through the context xD

My brother came out as gay last y , even though everybody already know since Long ago ( he was really obviously the more he tried to hide it and denies it the more obvious it was) my family never had problem with it we love him for who he is as a person as he really is the best brother and has a beautiful heart, I always wondered why won’t he tell us if he knows we love him as he is , when we were 15/16( were only 1y apart ) he really liked our guy friend from the group but that guy is straight and was dating my best friend at the time, it hurt to watch him hurt like that and him hating himself just because of who he likes, so I pulled him aside and told him ( look you know I love you and always will to me it doesn’t matter who you like) he asked me confused “what do you mean “ I said “ I know you like boys and it’s ok “ but that’s when I realised it wasn’t him who didn’t wanna tell us it’s the fact that he didn’t even admit it to himself he just started crying when I said it out loud and was repeating I’m not I’m not It’s broke me I made a mistake I wanted to help him ,for him to know that I’m on his side but I hurt him instead I didn’t know what to do and I didn’t want to make it worse so I said “oh I’m joking ha ha , jeez don’t take it seriously “ I know he know what I meant and just went along with my pathetic excuse cause it was easy, I told my parents what I did they were mad at me ,we forget about it and just waited for him to be comfortable with himself and tell us when his ready, what I mean by telling you this is don’t force yourself just do it when you’re ready I’m sure you’re parents will understand even if they don’t they are still your parents they can’t just forget the love they had for you, it may take time but I’m sure they’ll accept you cause you as yourself is the most beautiful 😊

Probably my favorite LGBTQ short I've seen on youtube so far. This felt the most real, not requiring focus on big drama or overdrawn struggle in the first minutes to get attached.
Love how the film is about queer youth/young adults, as I realized and accepted my gender in my 30s, having a different journey than kids/youths/young adults may have today.

Beautiful! Perfect! I love it! Nathan (the guy who plays Victor) is such a good actor. I also loved the one who played Sora. Also Sora is such a cool name. I love Victor's self discovery, and I love how he didn't hesitate to leave his ex. I had a bad feeling about his crummy bf since it seemed he just saw Victor as a piece of meat. All the actors and actresses did a wonderful job! I love the tie die trans shirt detail too.

That moment when things just start to click for you. ❤ I identify with what I was born as, but for me this moment was when I learned that not just animals, but Humans could be asexual as well, and so many things in my life suddenly fell into place like missing puzzle pieces.
Thank you for making and sharing this short film. It is encouraging to see that there are other people out there like me. I came out to my parents and my dad is not super supportive, so it is nice to have support online and it helps me hope for the future :)
