@@reggie6230 Hard to say. They did drop a game, actually, albeit a short one. RUclipsr Manlybadasshero played it, which was how I was introduced to this series. Interesting thing is that it featured Gabby, Francis, and Zaggy all in Angel's Hare, something that in the series hasn't happened. Also, Gabby overwrites the players name to call them "Jonah". Maybe that was a taste of a bigger project to come.

Well, that's certainly a horrifying fate for Gabby. The actual stuff of nightmares, forced to be an observer, hearing and seeing everything but unable to actually respond in any way to let those looking for you know that you're still here, that you need help.
I genuinely hope things end on a good note like the first 'season', because I'm both a sucker for 'golden endings', and because I just want everyone in this series to be happy.
I wonder how many seasons we're gonna have. I'm admittedly not sure how we'll wrap everything up in one more episode. Either way I'm here for the ride and I'll be happy whenever the creators want to end this for real.

I really like how Jonah's fixation on Gabby stops him from forcing answers out of Zag and Francis about their nature. I like the open mystery of what they are and would rather have it be "unexplained" in the sense that there's no earthly explanation
That and ZigZag dropped an absolutely FIRE line, like it was sooooo good.
Knew those overlays were important. But I thought they were a message, not Gabby herself...Also was she flashing between human and hare form or do I need to get my eyes checked? Though I've got no idea how to solve this, I'm praying for a happy ending for Jonah and Gabby. Or just saving Gabby, she's too sweet to be condemned to...this.

Maybe she’s flickering between styles because the stills used to reveal her are from both Angel Hare and Zag’s show?
You know some people (and I can understand where they're coming from) say that Jonah is too obsessed with Angel Gabby
But when you look back at it, it makes sense. She was the one who saved him from his father. She helped him learn how to protect himself. She taught him so much that she wasn't just his guardian angel. She might have just been his one and only friend; so when he finally reuinted with her after so many years and soon goes missing, it's no wonder he got so obsessed with trying to get her back
Don't forget, it doesn't sound like is mother was all that good either. Gabby is probably the best option for a parent he had. If he sees her has a parent, he's always gonna want to know she is near.

There's something about the way Jonah's messages switch from minus to all caps that's keeping me on my toes... could be nothing, but it's a detail hard to ignore.
I just saw all the episodes today, and needless to say, I'm absolutely hooked. I can't wait for the next installment of this wonderful series!
Edit: I just realized, that if you go back through the videos, and watch it frame by frame, you see the outline of Gabby's silhouette appear for a fraction of a second- that single detail gave me CHILLS. She truly was always there.

Anyone want to see Jonah talk to Francis/have Francis have a bigger role in the story? He's waking up too and it'd be interesting to see his perspective on his place in this situation, as well as diving into what he is. Is Francis supernatural too if he can have conscious thought and interact beyond the show like Gabby and Zaggy? Is it Gabby/Zaggy's presence that extends consciousness to him, or is he angelic/demonic/other, like Gabby/Zaggy? If Zag can jump shows... are we certain Angel's Hare was Francis' original show? Did Francis just have an existential crisis at being told the reality of his existence?
Inb4 I know I veered wildly off track there, the creators have no obligation to answer those questions if it doesn't fit the story and/or they don't want to/haven't thought about it, but they're fun to think about. Either way I still enjoy the story. Keep up the good work!
Edit: Okay, I wrote this comment before finishing the episode, at the part where Francis looked perturbed to learn what streaming is. I guess I should've waiting to see if the episode would have addressed some of these questions, or at least similar ideas. I hope Gabby can answer some of them.

The Blackjack nights... The nicknames... The annoyance of "Loose Lips" Francis calling him Zaggy...

This is show is SO underrated, it needs more love. This is my favorite VHS video on RUclips because the approach of horror is tame, but the storyline is GREAT!

Hmmm..... a nickname. Seems like they were pretty close, or at least not as formal with each other as Zag first implied. Sounds like someone's trying to track down their best friend and has an emotional tie to this case, rather than it being just his job

That's CRAZZZZY!!! I thought they were just random lines on single frames until you started bringing all the .mp4's together. Goodness Gracious, that's so smart! That's both scarily innovative and smart to put together!!! YOOOO!
I feel like in the end, the recorded tapes were just "proofs" of Gabby's anomalous existence, and Jonah reoppened that "pandoras box" and when everything went on live, Jonah's reoppened that box, freeing her again, but at the cost of possible multiple entities interracting to Jonahs and Gabbys.
To think about it, ive rewatched a bit the episodes, Zaggys came when she disappeared.
Francis became more and more real by just, following the main character and zaggy, not as just an animated picture with a voice like the vcr copies or the first livestream, he became "alive" when she disappeared, he became a key asset as he is the one that seems to know our dearest angel really well.
As for zag. I think the foreshadow of the 3 hares praying in the picture was a nice touch, but if its really him, that means we could have the possibility to meet the last hare of the picture (maybe not, just thoughts running high rn)
But overall, if i clearly understood all characters :
Angel Gabby is the gardian angel of innocence and truth
Francis is the lost soul, tormented by his "demons",( wrongdoings or act he couldve commited in the past), but found the hope in gabby's faith and knowledge.
Zaggy could be the angel of justice, bringing the good and bad to their rightfull place. By being an investigator, focusing on finding her and answering with little to no information to give, he must be searching her before chaos ensues... or maybe to put her in the justice of their world? I mean, to think about it, she interracted with Jonah as a child, and SOMETHING happened, maybe this went under the radar because internet became a thing not too long ago? And this could be the reasons of Zaggy believing Jonah's about the live thing, helping him unknowingly through the potential justice gabby will receive?
To my eyes this can be the right theory about all this story, and frankly if i am wrong, then i'll be blown away by the plot oncoming, if not and i was "right" then it will be the same x))
This is a good plot right now, adding to the story so much, i wouldve never thought of the multiple screen solutions, thats a 200iq move 😂

I'm thinking, maybe Angel Wreath (the company who supposedly produced this) has the answer. Even Zaggy knew who they are-- as one of the first things he asked Jonah was "are you with Angel Wreath!?"
I don't quite know what things are really about though. I was thinking in terms of angels and demons originally (if Angel Gabby was sent by God specifically for Jonah-- then that'd be a pretty straight forward thing). But maybe this could be more about the cartoon/animation worlds as opposed to angels vs. demons.

i have to say this is the great min series you put together with that is getting me hooked with its themes and topics and depictions, just masterfully put together, with a bitter sweet first finale and whats to come I'm glad i discovered this.... and if I'm reading into things correctly... cant wait for the next sermon on Sunday... or whenever you cant rush these things

This series is criminally under advertised, I got lucky and found out about it today on tiktok and now I can’t get enough
So I’ve always thought that Francis’s badger design of black and white resembled that of a priest or a monk… perhaps he is one of those, especially in the episode where he explains how he had met gabby when he ‘called and she answered’ perhaps he is a soul that agreed to help in some way.
It should be noted that Francis does share a name with a real Pope.
My theory is she got scrambled by someone else who was aware of the stream and as a result she was put in a static state unable to communicate or call for help I'm assuming maybe the dad is messing with her or it's the creator of the show.

As for Gabby... yikes she got stuck between genres! The only way I can think of unsticking that is splicing the shows together. At least by the logic shown so far it'd work.

Oh my gods, Jonah might have to destroy his recorded tapes to save Gabby.
I may be on little sleep but hear me out; Jonah's tapes were self contained, but proof of her intervention into his life.
Then the rereleases were already contained, and Gabby couldn't intervene/act at all.
I think streaming his original tapes either got attention from higher up/Gabby became split into two, the Gabby and Jonah's Gabriel or something went wrong with her ascension into a biblically accurate angel.
I don't know, but maybe resetting her to Gabby, and saying goodbye(and its going to be heartbreaking) and returning her to normal might be the only way?
I don't know but y'all made the most wholesome 'creepy video from my childhood' with all the subtext trauma. I just love these so much. ❤
the sheer audacity to take all the mysteries that were set up and go "you can infer what happened, that isn't what's important, this isn't a story about scary spookums and 2 hour dissection videos about the spooky lore, this is a story about friendship" and integrate that metafictional decision directly into the story was so utterly bold and powerful and pushes this towards like best internet series released this year tbh

I keep commenting on the animation side of things, but each upload I see keeps blowing my mind, particularly the use of multiple screens that seamlessly transition into one another, and the ending which puts everything together like a literal puzzle. Sorry if my comments get repetitive after a while, i just keep getting floored
Gabby and Zag are “associates.” Would Zag be the sort of associate who, after the fashion of a film noir private detective, occasionally do a “job” for a fellow spirit in a difficult bind? Would certainly make things awkward should Zag discover who Jonah is, if that were the case, that is.
I also found this from Manly playing the game recently, but almost forgot about it afterward... then if I'm being frank, certain art that started popping on certain art sites reminded me I just saw the character recently, looked it up again and discovered the series which I'm glad I got to catch up on! It's tragic this doesn't have 1000x more views, it fully deserves it and you're doing a phenomenal job: Thank you for this and can't wait for what's to come 🥰
Hmmm... if Angel Gabby is on screen only as an outline... I wonder if maybe she DID strain herself too much by appearing so often. I noticed that she did looked a little strained, when she was first reunited with Jonah-- as if she made animation movements that wasn't supposed to be there-- against how her animation was supposed to be (i.e. that animation was way too fluid and "alive" compared to how the Angel Hare show was normally supposed to be).
Ooorrr, maybe she' just trapped between shows, that's why her outline is shown across different shows. (Instead of being found in a single show.) I guess it could be anything still.
Ohhhh that cross-screen shove animation at 2:54 is SO GOOD.

"But don't leave the room, that's cheating!"- this video. She creates a game where she has to "hide" from the dad while she killed him somehow.
"Cheater"- gets spelt out in letters in the game, with Jonah's name being in the game.
Omgosh I never thought of that! Jonah cheated at hide and seek so Gabby had to make her forget! Thats an amazing theory, great job superstar!
3:16 "Do you want to KNOW or do you want her BACK?" is a demonstration that "knowing the truth" would mean she can't come back - that "what she is" is affected by Jonah's knowledge. Which means she is an idea.
And "Jonah pursuing this fantasy of 'finding' Gabby" is a continuation of Jonah's avoidance of reality.
A reality where he hid a gun and broke into a church.

What if Wreath of Life didn't know about their haunted video problem until someone sent proof of Angel Gabby doing things she wasn't animated to.
No wonder why there is only 6 episodes. Parents who are responsible caught Angel Gabby talking to their kids. Unlike Jonah who is left alone completely with the TV.
This also explains demon hares. Since christians in the 90's sees Angel Gabby's out of script actions as demon possession.

I just found this show because i saw ManlyBadAssHero play the video game! I just watched all the episodes in a row. I cried an embarrassing amount. The premise has changed a bit since the original idea a year ago, which is fine! Obviously if you want to make more episodes you have to expand. The only thing that brings me discomfort is the indication that Zaggy (if that is his real name!) is having sex...😬 i really hope he is a demon, because that would justify it. Otherwise, yikes!
Anyway i love the show! The Christian themes really spoke to me and it is rare to find anything like that anymore. I can tell you put a lot of love into it, so thank you! And thank you for the good cry. I feel a little closer to my own guardian angel, lol.

The Angel is in The Cloud
You know, I've always been weary of the Cloud-- like if I start a new game by accident, are they going replace the Cloud save with my new save? And if I had play a bit on the new game/save (and wanted to keep playing that), are they going to replace my local save with the Cloud save?
There's a lot that's been said about this episode and series, but one of the lesser discussed elements I like about it is Zag's lines about Gabby's approach to helping kids. He's been so far presented as a pretty cold and callous figure, but here we get a hint at what I think is his true nature. He talks as if he's helped children himself, but he just had a different approach to it. While we see Gabby as a more direct and nurturing figure, Zag essentially says he prefers to trust the intelligence of a child, giving them the tools they need to figure things out on their own. We even see this approach in action once Jonah starts asking too many questions. Zag asks a piercing question of his own, designed to inspire introspection and reflection in Jonah. And it works - he realizes where his priorities have really always been, and that realization backs up how he talks to and helps Gabby in the subsequent episode.
And a lot like Zag's approach, none of this is spoonfed to us. We're given all the tools to figure it out for ourselves. I do imagine that Zag really did help a lot of kids in his time, in his own way. Wylde Hare, being a more mature detective show, would have given him more space to subtly clue kids on to whatever they needed to know about their current situations, and empowered them to do something about it. It's not necessarily better or worse than Gabby's more handholding approach, but it might have resonated better with certain kids or situations. Sometimes you need that gentle guiding hand, and sometimes you need someone who can just give you the truth so you can make the right decision on your own. I like that Zag can still clearly be a helpful figure while still having his rough edges and that those rough edges are even part of why he could be so helpful. More than that, I love that none of this is explicitly spelled out by the series. The East Patch is trusting us to put the pieces together ourselves, just like Zag would. It's both very respectful of the audience and very true to the character it's about.
Or maybe I'm reading too much into this. It was just something that resonated with me a lot, so I wanted to talk about it.
IDK if this will be important to know for the upcoming finale (Dunno if it's the season finale or the series finale tho), but I'm just gonna go ahead and say this age old line.
