If I ever remember to take them out of my bag, I will have to make use of the drink vouchers by sharing them with seat mates. Otherwise, I do like the handle wraps. I have one on the backpack that I carry on-board and it does help with comfort when I am holding it by the top handle.
I am based in Toronto and travel often to SE Asia, all self-funded. When Air Canada added minimum spends for status, United had a qualifying dollars waiver for non-US residents. That allowed me to look for good value fares and still achieve a high level of status that was strictly based on distance flown. With the last round of MileagePlus changes, I was going to re-evaluate my plans going forward. With the status extension due to COVID, I don't really need to do that until next year at the earliest. That said, United has treated me well. I have not experienced any of the issues others complain about. My upgrade record is pretty good. Given the revenue I have given United, I have been pleased with my return. Clearly, however, I am in the group of 1K members that is not highly profitable for United and I understand that and the reason for the change.
A Life's Journeys I see... Thank you very much for the reply! I ask this because I am studying airline management, and I am trying to simulate the perfect mileage/FF program. So, in a perfect world, what would you like to see on such programs?
Life is good as a 1k 👍...I have been a 1k now for my 3rd year going into 2020. I am retired, so earning my miles to get that 1k status is all done traveling to my favorite vacation spots!! People debate if its worth it? I figure that if I have the 1k status, might as well keep it! Perks associated with the status keeps me loyal to United, plus I have no plans to stop traveling the✈ 🌍🌎🌏💺...cheers!!!
For me, the status comes with things I am doing anyway. It has proved valuable with upgrades, snacks and drinks in economy, lounge access, etc. Sadly, I haven’t been able to fly in a year and Canada will continue to have a travel warning for a while. So, I may not be able to retain any status this year.
You received a gift? I'm on year two of 1k.
Good to know they use to do this.
It was a victim of the pandemic. Only time will tell if it returns.
Thanks for watching.
Great unboxing video...what was your favorite item that you received from this kit? thanks😀

@@ALifesJourneys Great reply..................Thanks🌠
Hello! I have two questions: Why did you choose to be loyal to United? And how do you think MileagePlus could improve? Great video, thank you!
