6:32 Proton has now implemented reports as well (password breach, weak/reused passwords, missing 2FA etc). This service is getting better and better by the day

@@rph_redacted You "need" a dedicated server (because it should run 24/7). Then you'll need to install Vaultwarden one way or the other. I would highly (!) recommend using docker. It's a tool to basically launch containers - imagine like a VM. You then just grab a Vaultwarden container, deploy it, and have an instance of it running in your network. You then can access it with the website (ip/port of your service) or via the apps by choosing your server. ....Then you'll need to figure out how to ABC Backup your Database. You would NEVER, EVER want to loose that. (Which is why I use and pay for Bitwarden. I wouldn't trust myself enough to under no circumstances never ever loose it.) And then you'll probably want to set up a VPN to your network; otherwise you won't be able to access your vaultwarden if you leave your network.
Bitwarden is quirky but I've used it so long that I'm very comfortable with it. Their management is good also so as long as they don't turn into money grubbers from a buyout I will stick with them.
You forgot to mention, the paid version of bitwarden is 10$ yearly and even less if you use a family plan (40$ per year for 6 ppl) so its a no brainer, bitwarden is just best in all regards. About the interface, be honest how much time are you gonna spend in the UI? Bitwaden ui is fine, the only time you'd open it is to auto-fill in passwords and that UI that comes up with the extension icon is great and simple.
THIS comment is why I'm here. Proton Pass may be great, I don't know. I love Proton Mail.I started using Bitwarden a few years ago and loved it so much I bought the paid plan even though I didn't need it. I could afford $10 a year and wanted to show them my appreciation. I've kept the paid plan ever since. Then I realized their 2FA can auto fill and I moved everything away from Authy. I dunno why this video creator neglected to mention Bitwarden's price when he got to that part. He sounds a bit biased. But I didn't watch this video for his opinion, I just wanted to see the comparisons.
Man what a great video I am using Bit Defender now and my wife and kids say it is hard to use so it appears from the comments I am going to give Proton Pass a try, thanks everyone
I think im gonna go with proton, I really like the simpler and polished interface and the aliases feature is def killer. At the moment both Bitwarden and Proton Pass are priced €10 per year
All the missing features mentioned in this video dated only 3 months ago are now available in Proton Pass. Bitwarden has an outdated and confusing UI, but also a better customer support.
Awesome Comparison! 👍🏻 (Deleted my Previous comment, got it confused with Proton Mail. Seems Pass is available to everyone Now, Only Mail is for paid users, Sorry man for the misinformation, haha) Keep up the good work 👍🏻
😮 I trust no one! it has identity, the security dashboard which can warn you about breaches, gives an overview of your password security and tells you about inactive 2fa etc
