    appreciate your video. Honestly, the important thing is not accuracy, but the correlation with Turnitin, since uni don‘t use Originality. No matter if the originality says 100% AI, if Turnitin says it’s not AI, then that’s the end of it, isn’t it?

      That’s an astute observation. You’re exactly right. Why are universities using such a poor AI detector? Turnitin would say that it’s to avoid any risk of false positives (where student’s work is erroneously flagged as AI generated) and that their tool should not be the basis for accusations of academic misconduct but the start of a conversation. I think my next video about how educators approach marking work that they suspect is AI generated will interest you. Coming soon. For now, I guess the Turnitin AI detector’s poor performance makes it easier to get away with cheating 🤷‍♀️

      Thanks for the great suggestion. As this is a tool like GravityWrite that doesn't claim to beat AI detectors, it's not that high on my list. As it's free, I'll probably give it a test at some point. Prediction: reduces AI detector score slightly ~10%
