Because you see his hair kinda gray and little bit white hair So maybe 23 years later after the ending he about 60 or 57 or not Unless this took place after the ending and or everything was his head The girl he stalk surely call the cops on him and give him a warning And his mother die of cancer And his friends still live on He got fired And and watch murray TV show And imagine him on tv show and kill him and later he went to his tv show and kill him in reality And he got handcuff and went to prison or Arkham and imagine himself getting save by the riots And.... *the end*
I know it ruins the idea of the movie, but I’d love to see a sequel where he’s the full supervillain joker, in this movie Arthur has a lot of quick witted scenes where he makes stuff up on the spot to get his out of a situation, similar to the joker
Head canon: the joke that Arthur was thinking was actually Joker 2, and it was so bad, it made him laugh. So yeah, second movie never happened, it was just his imagination before the real ending

I never expected this movie to have such a happy ending. It was so brutal and harrowing throughout, with its occasional bright points all eventually crushed or snatched away by subsequent losses. For most of the movie you think you're watching a tragedy, but then at the end, you realize it was a comedy after all.
Well, it is told from the Joker's perspective. And by the end of the movie, he is pretty happy. After all, he's finally found his calling in life. Spreading joy and laughter to the world. That is, joy and laughter as understood when life itself is nothing but a cruel joke.
Man this is a really fucked up ending. Arthur went crazy and there´s no way back, he is and always be Joker. No more tryng to make everyone laugh, just insanity, and all because of the people around him and also those who though of him has nothing but a crazy guy.
The joke which he was thinking of waw his life. That is why he said "you wouldn't get it" because he used to think his life was a tragedy and at the end he realised it was a joke and this nobody else can understand because only he experienced it and knows all the truth of it. Now I perfectly understand the ending. It was so amazing!
I thought his joke was that he created Batman because it was his actions that led to Bruce Wayne’s parents death. He dosnt know he created “Batman” he just knows that he changed Bruce Wayne into something else.
This movie left me disturb after watching it and I’m not saying that in a bad way, this movie felt in so many ways painfully and scarily real, to the point it made me uncomfortable. Truly a fantastic film
I just love how his doctor looks at him as he starts singing, reminding us that not everyone has the privilege to understand that we've all got a little radio inside our head.
God I just wish we had THIS joker not the one from the newest sequel but this guy as our permanent joker in the main universe. Seriously. He is one of the best actors to portray the joker ever.
walentaz I get where you’re coming from, I feel the same way but even though endgame was a CGI high budget film, it was a good epilogue. Joker was a refreshing vintage of an artistic film which is exactly what the character needed. A bad example of a film that’s only got CGI going for it would be suicide squad which also starred the joker yet didn’t do jackshit.
Just watched this scene for the 100th time, have you noticed that at 1:20 he's lost in his own thoughts, but when she looks back at him she gulps and can't keep eye contact because she's so unsettled. Then we get this peak level close up and he's just piercing her with his eyes. The way they told the effect he had on her was so well done. The dude was unreal in this
I just realized something about this scene. Arthur's original social worker looks very similar to this one. What she wanted was to help him in any way possible, knowing he's a very tortured soul. Arthur had a respect for her, going to her for some sort of analysis and advice. After he killed the dudes, he starts to see the flaws in her coaching, along with slowly becoming more synicle. She still wanted to help him, but got defunded. Now he's locked away and has someone who also wants to help, and has all the necessary funding. But he doesn't care anymore. He's found an identity and a meaning. And instead of any respect for her, he kills her

“I was just thinking of a joke” For a minute, it seemed that joker and Bruce were brothers and related, but they’re not. However, they will always have some sort of connection cause it’s Jokers fault that Bruce’s parents are dead. Thus, we have The Batman
I know a lot of people won't accept this as *the* definitive origin to the Crown Prince of Crime. Hell, the Killing Joke has established Joker's past is multiple choice; you don't know which is the truth behind the madness. It's similar to Heath Ledger, in how he tells his "scars story." Imagine if they tell both those stories in an origin movie, like how his abusive father murdered his mother, or loan sharks carved up his wife. It's only one interpretation; this one just felt like a more realistic version rather than the comic book world where a man is changed due to falling in chemical acid, 'cause any normal man would definitely die from that.
I can’t stop watching this scene, it’s…it’s absolutely bloody perfect. This is by far the best Joker, Heath was good but this is just…psychotically good.

My favorite scene in this movie.. because he really did get the finally laugh against everyone who wronged him. And not to mention the dance at the end and the music was perfect for it. I love that part so much
Such a perfect standalone movie that doesn’t need a sequel in the slightest. It stands on its own two feet and really gives us an amazing take on the Clown Prince of Crime. And I think it goes without saying, but a sequel would just taint the ending of this movie in ways one can only describe as a disaster. But thank goodness that hasn’t happened.
The whole movie is a darn masterpiece! Joaquin should not just win an Oscar for his performance, this whole film should just win for Best Picture! And also for Best Directing, Best Writing, Best Sound, Best Production Design, Best Cinematography, and Best Film Editing.

If you look closely at where Bruce is standing in the alley, after a few seconds, you can actually see the super-rats scurrying along the ground. Nice little nod there.
@@raven3067 its important because what killed the waynes werent "bad guys" alone, it was their outrageous elitism during a period of crisis, empoverishment and worker class suffering. The rats represent that, but all that bruce is able to see is their parents murdered (the rats walking behind his back represents it) and the impact of that brutal scene would mold him into a vigilante - and even blinder - version of thomas wayne.
What was beautiful about this movie was how many ways you could interrupt it. There really are no right or wrong answers. Pheonixs acting is outstanding in this movie I think he plays the insane roll perfectly and he scares you at some parts which shows how good he really is
The point of Joker is not to feel sorry for Arthur Fleck and blame society for turning him into a monster. It's a trick. The whole movie is tricking you into feeling sorry for him and making you blame society for his actions. That's why he's laughing at the end. He's laughing at us the audience. Than he murders an innocent doctor, the only truly innocent person he killed, but by this stage we're in to deep. We sympathised with him all movie long and now we just have to ignore that we rooted for evil all along because it's too uncomfortable to admit. This movie is a masterpiece and the Joker is the ultimate villain.
Saying he is a good actor is not enough. The way he stares when he sings and the laughing is totally out of this world. I can't think on any actor who gets even closer to perform this masterpiece
The best part about this ending is that now he is laughing because he wants to. Not because of his condition.

Dude this isnt happy the man is a shell of what he use to be. This is a sad ending

walentaz Avengers was great mate no need to be little that to appreciate joker
walentaz I get where you’re coming from, I feel the same way but even though endgame was a CGI high budget film, it was a good epilogue.

The dude was unreal in this
Do u think he killed her? Because what’s with the blood on the floor at the end?
Yes he stomped her to death
I just realized something about this scene. Arthur's original social worker looks very similar to this one. What she wanted was to help him in any way possible, knowing he's a very tortured soul. Arthur had a respect for her, going to her for some sort of analysis and advice. After he killed the dudes, he starts to see the flaws in her coaching, along with slowly becoming more synicle. She still wanted to help him, but got defunded. Now he's locked away and has someone who also wants to help, and has all the necessary funding. But he doesn't care anymore. He's found an identity and a meaning. And instead of any respect for her, he kills her
Yeah.
Also you misspelled "cynical"
ain't no way you wrote synicle. this whole monologue is cringe but you can really tell you're 12 just from that.

“I was just thinking of a joke” For a minute, it seemed that joker and Bruce were brothers and related, but they’re not. However, they will always have some sort of connection cause it’s Jokers fault that Bruce’s parents are dead. Thus, we have The Batman
I mean, not entirely. Thomas Wayne did get what he fucking deserved

Bruh why is that important.
Raven of the night it’s NOT. It’s just a nice little touch I wanted to point out.
@@raven3067 bcz Murray mentioned them in that show
@@raven3067 its important because what killed the waynes werent "bad guys" alone, it was their outrageous elitism during a period of crisis, empoverishment and worker class suffering. The rats represent that, but all that bruce is able to see is their parents murdered (the rats walking behind his back represents it) and the impact of that brutal scene would mold him into a vigilante - and even blinder - version of thomas wayne.

The point of Joker is not to feel sorry for Arthur Fleck and blame society for turning him into a monster. It's a trick.
