Honestly, Frank Sinatra is a good musician overall. It doesn't matter if you found My Way through Sing, or That's Life from Joker, we can all agree that he's a good musician.
I'm not gonna lie, when I saw this in theaters, I actually cried a little bit. There have so many times I've felt like Arthur and felt the same experiences as him ( minus the violence he commits ) and in a way it was cathartic to see something being portrayed in such a way. We really do need to evaluate mental health better in the world and try to be better to each other, but whether it will happen or not, I can't say for certain. All I know is we all need to do better if we're ever going to become better people in general, that the Arthur Flecks of the world will never again have to suffer or lash out just to get someone, anyone, to notice them and their pain.
The joke which he was thinking of waw his life. That is why he said "you wouldn't get it" because he used to think his life was a tragedy and at the end he realised it was a joke and this nobody else can understand because only he experienced it and knows all the truth of it. Now I perfectly understand the ending. It was so amazing!
I thought his joke was that he created Batman because it was his actions that led to Bruce Wayne’s parents death. He dosnt know he created “Batman” he just knows that he changed Bruce Wayne into something else.
walentaz I get where you’re coming from, I feel the same way but even though endgame was a CGI high budget film, it was a good epilogue. A bad example of a film that’s only got CGI going for it would be suicide squad which also starred the joker yet didn’t do jackshit.

I never expected this movie to have such a happy ending. It was so brutal and harrowing throughout, with its occasional bright points all eventually crushed or snatched away by subsequent losses. For most of the movie you think you're watching a tragedy, but then at the end, you realize it was a comedy after all.
Well, it is told from the Joker's perspective. And by the end of the movie, he is pretty happy. After all, he's finally found his calling in life. Spreading joy and laughter to the world. That is, joy and laughter as understood when life itself is nothing but a cruel joke.
Man this is a really fucked up ending. Arthur went crazy and there´s no way back, he is and always be Joker. No more tryng to make everyone laugh, just insanity, and all because of the people around him and also those who though of him has nothing but a crazy guy.
My theory is the joke his laughing about is, he wanted to kill Thomas Wayne, but he was already dead. Remember when Arthur was on Murray, and he said the knock knock joke about the kid being dead? Arthur laughs at death like a huge hilarious part of life. In the hospital with his mom he said his life was a comedy instead of a tragedy, and than suffocated her. In this scene he murdered the doctor and was dancing right after. He no longer has a condition because he found something to laugh at. Absolute masterpiece of a movie. Anyways, those are my thoughts. If you read this, THANK YOU for reading, and I hope EVERYONE stays blessed.
“I don’t but, in this scene joker looks much older. Maybe we’re looking into the future of where joker has ended up. And maybe the joker is laughing because he realizes that Batman is Bruce Wayne the whole time. Which is why we get the line -“You wouldn’t get it”, and a glimpse of young Bruce Wayne!”
“I was just thinking of a joke” For a minute, it seemed that joker and Bruce were brothers and related, but they’re not. However, they will always have some sort of connection cause it’s Jokers fault that Bruce’s parents are dead. Thus, we have The Batman
I know a lot of people won't accept this as *the* definitive origin to the Crown Prince of Crime. Hell, the Killing Joke has established Joker's past is multiple choice; you don't know which is the truth behind the madness. It's similar to Heath Ledger, in how he tells his "scars story." Imagine if they tell both those stories in an origin movie, like how his abusive father murdered his mother, or loan sharks carved up his wife. It's only one interpretation; this one just felt like a more realistic version rather than the comic book world where a man is changed due to falling in chemical acid, 'cause any normal man would definitely die from that.
Here's a theory my brother told me and I think it makes sense: This is Joker years later. After Bruce has become Batman. After him and Batman have become enemies, and Batman has put Joker in Arkham (or wherever this is, but it's probably Arkham). At this point, Arthur has somehow found out or figured out that Batman is actually Bruce Wayne, and the "joke" he's laughing at is that he realizes that what he did all those years ago was what led to Bruce Wayne becoming Batman and that he created his own enemy and the man who stopped him. That's why it cuts to young Bruce in the alley when he says he's thinking of a joke. I agree with that, and *I* think the reason he says "you wouldn't get it" is because revealing Batman's true identity might put an end to Bruce being Batman and their rivalry, which many versions of Joker see as a serious commitment akin to a relationship, would cease to exist.

Today I was fired from a job where I gave everything, where I sacrificed a lot and now that I've been fired on my way home I decided to listen to this song. *I never felt so free*
I’ve seen this movie twice. This is one of my favourite scenes in the whole movie. Not just for the music (one of my favourite songs of all time) but because it’s finally complete. He’s gone from troubled man Arthur Fleck to the Joker. And to cap it all off there’s a little chase scene done almost like a Scooby-Doo cartoon. And there’s even a bit of ambiguity left in (not only about whether this really happened) but about his thoughts in the last moments ‘you wouldn’t get it’ what was the joke? It can apply basically to anything in the movie or even to what comes after, ie Batman. Meh, we all know what the joke really was: “There were these… two guys… in a lunatic asylum…”
This is why we should be given a 2 sided version of everything. All these years we used to watch a movie of a superhero with a cape who makes an unesescary creepy voice out of nowhere whose name is batman and then this movie shows us the narrative from joker himself. I dont think there are such movies like joker but i do know that there can be nothing like this gem.
If you look closely at where Bruce is standing in the alley, after a few seconds, you can actually see the super-rats scurrying along the ground. Nice little nod there.
@@raven3067 its important because what killed the waynes werent "bad guys" alone, it was their outrageous elitism during a period of crisis, empoverishment and worker class suffering. The rats represent that, but all that bruce is able to see is their parents murdered (the rats walking behind his back represents it) and the impact of that brutal scene would mold him into a vigilante - and even blinder - version of thomas wayne.

Dude this isnt happy the man is a shell of what he use to be. This is a sad ending
@@user-uf8de5cw7x From the perspective of everyone else, sure.
But this entire movie is told from the Joker's POV. And to him, this is a happy ending.
Man this is a really fucked up ending. Arthur went crazy and there´s no way back, he is and always be Joker. No more tryng to make everyone laugh, just insanity, and all because of the people around him and also those who though of him has nothing but a crazy guy.
This is not a happy ending. He literally just killed a bunch of people. He is a shell of the person he used to be.

I mean, not entirely. Thomas Wayne did get what he fucking deserved

1:27 look at that face man. That stare. The control over facial features. Fucking holy shit.
The joker = freedom starts the moment you decide to be yourself 🃏💗😍
Why does Arthur not look aged at all?
@@laughisfun2003 I think he looks a bit older. He has some graying temples. Some people just don't really age. Besides, he already looked like crap in the movie.
