Right! About 30 minutes previously, I had checked if they had posted anything as I just needed to watch the next instalment and found nothing. Then, just before going to bed, I found that they had posted this one. I was so pleased and just got right to it even though it was way after my bedtime. I just love this couple and their beautiful family!

Spencer, you remind me of my 91 year old dad. In his prime he built, repaired, improved, created anything. He used to say "out of necessity ". I've always seen it as a talent! My girlfriend and I are living in a fifth wheel camper until we have time to build. That won’t start until we’re done opening our restaurant. With such a long list of things still to do, the scene of dinner and tv time in your house is inspirational and gives me so much motivation to get my list done. I wonder what kind of content they're going to create after the house is finished. It seems to be their only source of income and they are living in an area where getting any kind of a real job would probably be a problem.
I'm still puzzled why they're waiting to finish the bathrooms to the very last. In my book they should've been one of the first things finished so they don't have to shower outdoors.
@@ActivityPhoto they have animals to care for...as in farming. That is a real full time job in itself. Plus I would imagine they need some outside structures or maintenance on old structures to take care of. There are always plenty of things to do on farm property.

They make a step ladder that folds into a chair that you could use for her step to get into her bed and chair at the desk love your channel! such a sweet family!!

hey Spencer, next time you are installing moldings like the baseboards you just did, put a little caulk on the edges where the boards join together, so when you nail them in place the excess caulk squeezes out, a wet rag cleans up the excess, and they are ready for paint. in the long run it saves time. hope that makes sense...
So I have a request. Could Spencer do a short overview of his most used and favorite tools that make his life not suck so much? I'm sure he has been contacted by multiple companies by now but I am also a DIY kind of guy and would love to hear what he has to say. But only if it is zero BS and fits your schedule. Just curious.

they still have to repair the dock, build a playset for the kiddos, remodel the existing barn into a workshop, then the have the storage trailer which I assume will get an upgrade to at least include lights, they got lots tooo doo

Oh my GAWD! You guys … you are my first YT couple and you have just been so spectacular in all the work you have put into that place…and…had two beautiful bibbies. Most people never get the chance to make their own lives like you all have. It’s been an honor to watch you do it so well.
It's so good to see you actually enjoying really living in your home, and not just the struggle to build it. It was great to see Kensie really cooking in the new kitchen and the pot bubbling away. My younger brother and I shared bunk beds and I had to climb a ladder that hooked onto the top bunk frame to sleep up there every night. I had a moveable rail to keep from falling out, but the rail fell off and landed on the floor more often than I care to remember. Some sort of soft mat in Beau's room might be a good landing zone in case she takes a tumble out of bed. Keep showing us more shots of you enjoying yourselves in the house.

When you build the stairs for Beau to climb into her bed, you can then turn them around the opposite way and they can double as a seat for her desk. Looks like there's a few more windows to trim and not much more to finish your home! It looks beautiful.

It occurs to me that you're leaving an extraordinary video legacy for your kids - a chance to know who their parents were and what they were like while they were still young, and most important, what you undertook to build your family's home. That's quite something. Few people have a chance to understand their legacy in such an intimate way.

Our Mom told us about our Dad going to the lot with a garage each night after work and turning it into a home for my her,oldest brothers.A couple of them recall it well.With the full 9,at the time they were on their 5th,they moved us to a 4 bdrm 2 story after the Uncles built my Grandmother a new house next door,on another part of the lots she owned.We were taken by it to see what the pictures were of.I don't know how many other families have grown there,but it looks well loved still.Your's will be too.
I had to laugh there.A few of my family would comment about me always taking pictures and recording videos.1 time I didn't bring a camera and I kept getting asked why I wasn't filming,etc.My Father's been gone 12+years.Mom a year ago,after 2 Uncles and a cousin.Just lost another yesterday.They're forever stored for generations now.As are you,and now Your's.

Just a hint that you might find useful regarding the toys: try sorting into two (or more) piles. Use a laundry basket (cardboard box, cube, whatever) for each pile - except the pile you are leaving out. Put one (or more, depending on how many piles you have) into storage somewhere. Leave out just one pile for Beau to play with. Rotate the piles on a regular basis. Be sure to always leave out any really special toy (or book) that Beau is attached to - not fair to take these away at any time.
Actually childrens toys should be displayed on shelves. Rather than throwing them in a basket. It teaches the child organizing and keeping her room tidy.
She is building a house with her husband while taking care of an infant and a toddler- I think she is doing great. And it's hard to be organized with a toddler you organize when they are older and you can teach them.

I love Beau's bed too! My grandsons had a ladder on the side & they went up & down in with no problem at 2yr old, bed was from IKEA, and now they are 10 & 6 and they still use the bed. It was versatile as well with an upper bunk and a mattress or play area underneath. The rail will be no problem for Spencer.😁

high shelves will be great for storing books and soft toys. she needs a sand box outside and wooden doll house for her to go into outside made by daddy. i can see all this coming in the future with built in doll bed play pen etc

Plantation shutters are amazing and they really help keep the heat out in summer and especially good at keeping out winter cold. They're made of pollywood and are timely classic. They will still be in style in the next 60 years. Love Bo's bed!

@@annescott6137 They’re taken from an ancient Grecian design which were originally made from marble. Not sure how the moniker plantation shutters became attached to them.
@@annemurphy9339 plantation shutters refer to the shutters on the big plantation mansions in America were slaves worked in the plantations I don't think a lot of people call the shutters that now

No doubt since it’s origins are Ancient Greece, this design has appeared in many countries and on countless types of homes, but by all means, don’t let that hinder your determination to be offended.

My health is catastrophic and my tools are still around in fact a mate passed about 3 years ago and I brought from his estate, all almost new, a excellent mig welder, drill press air compressor and some other non tool items, with nowhere to set them up they are sitting in my lounge room, I haven't got a suitable shed so am thinking of converting my sleepout from a leather work room/ darkroom to a machine shop
To tinker in that is just off my main bedroom. Being a single bloke I have no wife to "instruct me" how to decorate my house so it won't be far to stumble out of bed and stagger to the toy room and play a while.
But each year the oldish body slows a bit more
As I type this I am visiting my mum (I came down from my Rural estate in Toodyay, a small rural town in the Wheatbelt of Western Australia) for a couple of days
Mum is 95 now and is amazing for her age,
I look at mum and how she brought up my sister and I then think what our youth was like, and look at today's mostly zombies playing with their damn mobile phones and just sigh,
But you look at Spencer and Mac and tin lids, and feel that may be there is still a a spark of hope for our world
I also have been on there channel since the 2 shipping containers arrived offered a few suggestions along the way

OMG! I absolutely CANNOT BELIEVE that I have "known" you since BEFORE you were pregnant - back when there were just two of you and this was just a dream to be fulfilled! WOW! This is so beautiful and incredible! I love this. I've said this before, but thank you so much for sharing your lives with us! Now we are two kids and a built house down the road....just WOW! It's really nice to see Spencer getting a little time off from the build to have fun. The kids are growing up so fast and they are gorgeous. Beau is going to be miss fix it when she's older 🌟😁

Looking great, I like the additional content with Spencer working on the dirt bike. I know some of the youtubers that finish big projects like house or boat that got them their subscribers, started losing views because they changed their content. But seeing how you work and watching any projects will keep people interested. Keep up the great work and the way you have chosen to live your lives.

Cam is getting growing so fast. He does take after Spencer. The trim looks awesome & adds character to each room. Love Beau's bed. She will love the ladder & scamper right up. It will be a game for her. Spencer can make the rail too. After all he's accomplished a rail will be no problem. I was so glad to see the video today. It was only out 5 minutes and already 3.5K had viewed it. We love & pray for your family.
