      Ragnar Axelsson There's a huge departure between the two. "The Thing" is about paranoia. Can you trust this person? That guy left on his own. Was it really him who came back?
      This is something else. I'm vaguely reminded of "Leviathan". It was an 80s movie starring the guy who played RoboCop and Ernie Hudson. Like this creature, the monster is a mass of human parts...but it never gets this large and it mutates too much. The thing in the vault is different. It turns everything into parts. Like someone going through a junkyard and using everything to create a massive robot...

    The performance by Officer Moore was just insane. The story was just great until Moore went into describing his encounter with the horror and the carpet, at which point I started to feel a really compelling empathy that made me both terrified and incredibly sad. One of the greatest readings on all of youtube, no doubt

      +Halloween Girl this monster whatever it is is so unconventional and far apart from normal bullcrap "horror" thats been a cliche since ive been alive. It feels like the author was inspired by lovecraft to do something different and imo it paid off. Love the police report style story telling. Makes it creepy unlike most stories. Im glad the author didnt go out of his way to give us all the information instead opting to keep it vague. Less is more. This is one of my all time favs. And i love officer moores voice.

    Now THIS is the kind of creepypasta I've wanted to hear for a while! Lovecraftian horrors like this, eldritch abominations, are pretty much the best horror monsters. The idea of something literally made out of thousands of different people an animals, a formless blob of flesh and organs seeking to devour all...it's really hard to imagine any kind of monster more horrifying than that. I can imagine this thing being an epic boss fight in a horror game. Though how you'd kill it is anyone's guess...

      thanoscar 11 If it was the creature from The Thing it wouldn’t matter. Once it hit civilization it would be over. It can imitate a person or animal down to the T. You wouldn’t know you were in it’s presence till it was too late. The only reason the movie went down the way it did was because the lack of people it had to hide in. Even then it was incredibly smart and people were starting to turn on each other because of it.

    Something tells me that this thing if was real was captured in its state of weakness. It couldn't find food in the dino era as it ate it all. It decayed fast such would explain huge amounts of oil pockets. so in theory this thing had fought hard to eat all some stopped and died off but this one survived decayed over millions of years. and the humans discovered it so they had prepared for it and finally contained the abomination in this new material. the art of imprints where it trying to escape the area. so they burried it deep in the same element maybe it cocooned itself in the metal and the element it created it itself. the humans made it with what ever they had and vowed to forget about such a world ending life form. so in theory this thing creates the metal and in theory it will break out when it's ready. the humans softened the metal far earlier then it's ready time. so it had broken out because it was disturbed.

    • @battlebae12
      @battlebae12 8 лет назад +4

      correction the imprints are what it was when it cocooned itself. when it broke out it was a small mass still strong enough to over power someone.

    Probably one of the best Creepypastas I've ever read. It seems to be templated from novels such as World War Z and the man in the high castle, having used recounts and interviews as a medium to paint the story. The voice acting was also superb and the quality rivals even that of audiobooks. This Creepypasta paints an incredible picture of horror in great detail all the while keeping certain parts of the story vague in order to play on our insecurities and curiosities of 'the unknown,' which, very few Creepypatas ever seem to address nowadays. Lovely job from Issac Boissonneau, we need more writers like him.
