Nah it's certain ships. This has been a thing for a while. They just haven't done the work on some of the ships. Scorpius has only 2 MFD's. You would think they would have made that a priority, but it also has no visor MFD's regardless of what helmet you wear.
I would like to see a player manage shields, capaticors, tracing target, shooting at target, watch for other attackers, manouvering in 3D, mannaging rockets, targeting, evading fire...all that in a same time. So stupid. That level of situation awarness dont have even best fighter pilots now. it is overkill
I think it is really good that you know have to think about what you need on the displays, that gives more characteristics to the different ships so maybe some player will prefer just a ship with more mfds then others.
@VortexStolenName that's interesting. The developer said in a video the code to make ore pods work is the same to make hull c loading work, and the ore pods code got left out of 3.24 due to release constraints. Maybe both bits of code got left out ?
The additional hairs and face model pool really makes a difference. The NPC walking around or sitting at the space ports have some variety now - doesnt look like copies of the same 6 people now
Middle interface on mfd should be a ship to ship choice. Fighters the pilot should be able to have control. Anything larger that has missiles, they should be primarily used by the co-pilot inho
I'm ready for persistent mfds and fire groups. I have to prep fire groups each time on my lightning everytime I jump so my laser and ballistics aren't muddled together in firegroups
Wondering... I had a customized Origin 315p earlier - but the MFD's on customized 315p's were screwed up (as in they don't show anything). You wouldn't happen to have a customized 315p to check if the MFD's on that one are fixed? :P ... Just curious.

I think this is a pretty good point, if made a bit emotionally. The control panels are going to be rather stupid and useless in a high pressure combat situation if you have to scroll zoom in on each one in order to use it. I find myself even today, with more basic panels, pre setting my power distribution settings based on what I think I will need, then ignoring them for the entire engagement.

With that said, in development, a major relaase will more than likely have several feature branches that will merge into one main branch. The challenge is that, when you increase the number of feature branches, you increase the likelihood of unforseen problems, prolonging testing, optimization and release window. Luckily, some of those features are ready for testing. So instead of waiting for a 4.0 test phase, they can release them now in an earlier code (3.24.2). This is ultimately going to help 4.0 release as quickly as possible. Because there will be a little less code to optimize. That doesn't mean 4.0 is going to be a breeze. There's a tremendous amount of work to be done. This will just soften the blow. My question is... Why would you be against that?
So, they are giving themselves 25 days to Live just in time for Citizen-Con. This may not be as hyped a Cit-Con as last years if they're giving away a new patch. And more disheartening is that 4.0 is still nowhere near Evo as we move into October, meaning all eyes on IAE in November. Should 4.0 go into EVO around IAE then that pushes the Live build out late December or more than likely January of next year. And that's if everything in the patch works.
How does the new power bars work in terms of allocation. If you increase weapon power does it lower the power to shields and engines equally? How is the triangle math being done ?
With your power generator, you have these "pips" of power that you allocate to different resources. If you want to allocate more power to X resource and you don't have any in reserve, you need to remove power from another resource.

They will need to either implement it, or have 3 new key binds for "power minus" which will feel really bad. I can't believe this is true
Yup, big issue since they are soon implementing different DMG types to the hull. I was running ADB5 and Galdereen on my Corsair for the Blockade, but every time I would have to go to MFD and change weapon groups before combat. PITA. Also the speed limiter not defaulting to max speed when changing from SCM to NAV. Did they keep it as is, or does that auto max limit now? Or at least auto back to where it was last time I was in NAV mode. Which to be honest will almost always be max speed. Otherwise, why be in NAV mode? Is someone really like, I want to go faster than 200m/s but I do not want to go too much faster than that. I am never flying around in NAV mode going 200m/s.
@@Kakeyoro what about your layout when storing/retrieving ships ? if for eg I take my ship out and it has CiG's retard default layout, If i put my status on the left then hostile status on the right, when I store and retrieve my ship will it keep the changes I made ? or be back to CiG retard status ??
@@gametouchcontroller730 The ship remembers the MFD layout for whatever mode you are in.. so if im in Nav QT mode and i want my power settings on the left and comms on the right / and in Nav Scan mode i want ship status on left and scan window on right -- and in scm/guns mode i want self status on left and target status on right.. all i have to do is select the mfds i want, now anytime i go back to those modes - my MFD layout i chose will automatically come back up for that particular mode
There's literally going to be binds for it for the basic level....also, co-pilots will be able to use all the screens as well as use the missiles. Tired of people like you acting like the first iteration is somehow intended gameplay....
Everyone's complaining that the 2D UI overlay in the cockpit has been removed... A CLEANER GAME is a more 3D game. Player focusses on the important aspect of 3D gameplay i.e. the z-depth, and the information that 3D objects themselves can give you. Star Citizen is not (and should never have evolved into) a 2D spreadsheet game. It should have all been about the Intractive 3D Flying of Spaceships. D'oh! :)

I dont think they are wasting money but their ambition is far too great imo.

You should try on a few different helmets to see if perhaps the hud not showing up is related to combat helmets?

Restarting my RSI launcher helped the DL speed in my case. Apart from that this initial build was fairly stable considering past ETF builds

Triangle is gone I think, you have to allocate bars yourself.

I believe so, yes. Opening the doors in a vacuum or non-breathable atmosphere will choke you and temps will drop/rise in the ship.
I turned it off and nothing happened, but next time ill vent the ships to check.
