    Another informative and beautiful film thank you Peter. Was a drone used to film the aerial shots near the end? The wing colours are so lovely on the paragliders. The humorous way you express your joy of flying and appreciation of the beauty you see is infectious. Best wishes.

    Hey Peter.
    I really enjoy the way you explain things and the ease with which you speak. Keep up the good work. Subscribed.
    I have one question. I've been instructed to keep my carabiner gates facing inward, but I notice yours always face outward. Is there a reason you do this specific to paragliding as opposed to a paramotorist?

    • @PeterHoldy
      @PeterHoldy  7 лет назад +1

      In paragliding we using speed system (speed bar) in paramotoring you have trimmers so in that case it doesn´t mater. We always pointing outside as speed bar will be free of friction :D as lines can rub around your risers :D in my first tutorial you can see details :D

    One other question -- at 24:19 you're pumping your brakes. Is that just to do a low save from losing lift and landing on the beach? I've seen crash videos where people pump like that and then get a collapse, does the constant sea breeze keep the wing open and make your maneuver more safe or why weren't you worried? Thanks!

    • @PeterHoldy
      @PeterHoldy  6 лет назад +1

      Pumping brakes in that situation do not helping me stay in lift band. I want to slow down and descend for a top landing on that cliff edge. As it was to windy i will be always lift up near cliff edge so what i doing is that i am stalling wing and releasing stall point(make you descent quicker). That why its looks like just pumping. If i do not use pamps then stall will develop to the last stage and i will fell down from sky as rock ;) Is dangerous because if you make mistake you can kill your self so be careful :)
      Wish you safe flying !

    With your landing at 20:45 how much farther inland would you have to go before hitting rotor?

    • @PeterHoldy
      @PeterHoldy  6 лет назад +1

      Sorry for late respond was bit busy. It depends on wind direction a wind strenght. As you can see from my landing aproache, cliff edge starts gradually rising up from right (10ft) to the left(200ft) as you can see wind socked near cliff edge 20:34 wind is bit of from right side, so in this setting wind do not make rotor. And i can fly low as i want.(because of shape of cliff) Is wind will shift to the left i will be in big trouble as i will be already in heavy rotor. The stronger winds the sronger and higher rotor will be. Hope it helped you ;)

      Let me know when you will be heading for Eype. Best for me are weekends. And spring or early summer is best to fly Eype as Sea breeze is working. SW winds are best !

    I don't see you in the video look back before entry in the cloud to prevent that another paraglider follow you. If this happen (another pilot coming into the cloud after you) and you turn back in the cloud, the risk of a collision it's very big. Whatever, good tricks.

    • @PeterHoldy
      @PeterHoldy  6 лет назад +1

      Yes is dangerous flying cloud, when i flying i always making sure no one follows me. On that video no body was flying when i went to clouds and when they start to fly i went out of cloud to make sure we want hit each other;) It was demonstration video. Thank you for you comment :)
