As with all my build posts, I hope they give you ideas for designing better bases yourself. Feel free to leave me any comments on my videos or reddit posts on what you think. I play on Sum's Pawn Multiplay server. Server IP: net.connect 50.97.95.146:29115

You need foundations with pillars around the entire thing. I could just build a ladder up the side of your house and completely bypass your wood barrier.

I am using the internal spike walls trick to prevent adjacent building, as I explained in the video. See here: How to prevent adjacent foundation building using INTERIOR spikes - Rust Building Tips

Sick base - if possible can you give a rough estimate of total raw materials required? Just trying to estimate how long it would take to build something this crazy.

It took us about a week of semi-casual play and gathering and building with a group of 4 to make this big of a base. It started just with a single story 3x1 metal base with a single story of wood around the base. As we gathered more resources, we built further up.
As far as how many resources it has taken to make this base in its current state, I've calculated approximate values. This doesn't include all our boxes, beds, furnaces, etc. I didn't do an exact count of every wall and door but its pretty close.
      Gate System:
      ~35 Wood Foundations (280 Planks = 2800 Wood)
      ~65 Wood Ceilings (390 Planks = 3900 Wood)
      ~200+ Wood Walls (800+ Planks = 8000 Wood)
      ~250+ Wood Pillars (500+ Panks = 5000 Wood)
      14 Wood Doorways (56 Planks = 560 Wood)
      ~40 Spike Walls (4000 Wood)
      ~20 Barricades (600 Wood)
12 Metal Doors (2400 Metal Fragments)
Approx Materials for Gate: 24860 Wood + 2400 Metal Fragments
      Metal Base:
      9 Foundations (72 LQM = 1080 Metal Fragments)
      100 Metal Pillars (200 LQM = 3000 Metal Fragments)
      70 Metal Walls (210 LQM = 3150 Metal Fragments)
      8 Metal Windows (24 LQM = 360 Metal Fragments)
      12 Metal Ramps (60 LQM = 900 Metal Fragments)
      25 Metal Doorways (100 LQM = 1500 Metal Fragments
      35 Metal Ceilings (210 LQM = 3150 Metal Fragments)
22 Metal Doors (4400 Metal Fragments)
Approx Materials for Base: 17540 Metal Fragments = ~1170 LQM

Ive been using the design where you have to open doors to ascend up the base, and NO one has been able to raid me (its even on a HIGH pop server)

It is working fantastic, I hope to see even better builds from you as Rust expands.

Where did you build this base ?

If you are using www.RustMap.Net, go to the very lower right section of the map, square AD-8. Pretty far out but when you have as many supplies as we had, then it works out well. Pretty nice flat area for this large base design.

thanks :) I'm going to try for the first time your crossed base. Yea it's far but I have a little house with many stuff and when I have too much stuff in it I'll just transfer them in the big base

By the way it could be nice if you could build this base while recording :)

Your video is good but the audio is kinda terribad. Try using Audacity to remove all the background noise. It will vastly improve your audio. Good luck.
