- I move onto my first villain in the Core Twenty with the biggest of the big bads: Asmodeus
Asmodeus, the Prince of Darkness, is among the most ancient and powerful gods in all of Pathfinder. He rules from his throne in hell as the ultimate tyrant. The nation of Cheliax on Golarion bows to his edicts, where priests trade their immortal souls for power and prestige.

11:28 lol this makes so much sense. Trade, prices, ect. the individual benefit is maximized to the detroment of others. Structural oppression, exploition and slavery of course benefit it. Ethics, autonomy of other beings, and morals are just in the way of profit. regarding the profit everything goes.

Just found your channel, I love all these stories about the deities. While I don't really play much PF2 anymore Golarion just destroys Forgotten Realms in terms of flavor and just plain coolness. I can't wait for Cayden Cailean!
My first and only PF character was a Paladin of Shelyn and in the four months I played that game I came to the same conclusion as you. I've been playing in Forgotten Realms and other D&D settings for 18 years by that point (I am not on my 22nd year) and it took four months for me to think Golarion as a setting was vastly superior to anything D&D had. Pathfinder really has done a astonishingly great job in their world building.
I hadn't thought about the connection between Abadar and Asmodeus before. Great video!

I'm kinda surprised tieflings are looked down on.
That's actually been pretty consistent across the history of Cheliax and the Asmodean church. To them, a tiefling represents a time when a mortal allowed their line to be tainted with diabolic blood or influence in a way they couldn't control. This is mostly relevant to hellspawn tieflings, though demonspawn tieflings are considered tainted as well. More exotic subtypes like oni spawn or asura spawn will face discrimination for other reasons.
Stuck below Mayor's Office in the Dungeon/Pit squared of against 5 imps 2 stone lions and a Diabolical Dwarf Mage...should I be worried?

According to the Kingmaker lore, yeah. I will say, though, that newer sources have both downplayed and retconned Erastil's misogyny pretty significantly. And given Paizo's generally progressive worldview, I find it very difficult to believe they would interpret a sexist god as LG nowadays.
Asmodeus' likeness to a real world religious figure... Who would that be? Hecate?? I'm lost! =D

I really am enjoying these videos and they are well produced. After I heard your ACAB comment though I was really disappointed. I am not a cop but I did work as a Security Officer in a Native run Casino. It is really easy to judge Law Enforcement but those that do have no fucking clue how difficult Cops jobs are. You would not want to live 5 minutes in a country without Law Enforcement. You lost a possible Subscriber, I do hope you keep making videos though the information is very good.
But most people that are anti police are not anti law enforcement in general. Pretty much all orginisations focused on abolishing the police also have the goal to replace them with nonviolent groups, specialized in preventing different types of crimes.
If you want to have more detailed arguments for police abolition, Spice8Rack has an hour long video titled "Anarchism & Police Abolition" it was what first got me thinking about these topics.
And in case you want arguments made by someone who actually was a part of Law enforcement, I'd recommend the channel That Dang Dad. He is an ex-cop and now a police abolitionist.
I came to this channel for the lore of Pathfinder which I like ...however Podfinder, your political views and opinions almost break away from the narration.
I appreciate your critique, assuming it's coming from a place of good faith. I'm glad you are enjoying the lore aspect of the videos, since that is what I want the main focus of my channel to be. My primary goal with these videos is to help players and GMs better interact with and relate to the world of Golarion.
That said, this channel is also a creative outlet for me. I enjoy the process of writing, recording, and editing these videos as a form of self-expression. Part of this process is being true to myself and my beliefs. Sometimes this manifests as references to other pieces of media which I find impactful (Berserk, Worm, etc.), but other times it includes references to my political beliefs. I try to keep these references to one-off jokes or snarky side comments, since they aren't the main focus of the video.
If you find this habit distracting or upsetting, I understand. I get the desire to separate the real world and the fantasy world. But that's not how I operate. If that means you can't enjoy my content, I fully understand. I would encourage you to check out some other great Pathfinder lore RUclipsrs: Tower of Tomes, Sir Vertigo, Mythkeeper, KingOogaTonTon, and Black Dragon Gaming among others. They all do fantastic work.
