Yay. It makes for effortless sewing so you can enjoy creating. Yesterday I wrangled my daughter's thick leather backpack under it to repair a strap. It performed! Hope you find much joy sewing!
I just got one and finished a quilt on it and I love it. The one problem I am having is the pedal. I’m not used to the cutting mechanism and often cut the thread when I didn’t want to 😢. And tips on that is appreciated.
I’ve had mine for about 18months also. It’s my favorite thing I’ve bought for myself. It’s so fast and enjoyable to sew on. I’d recommend it to anyone. 💜
Thanks for not ruining the video with music-noise. (It’s good to see what it can do. You helped me make my decision on the 290. However, I’m getting mine from the Mennonites local store. I feel safer with them than Amazon.
Great Presentation of the Juki 2010. You did a wonderful job explaining. I have had my Juki 2010Q for a few weeks now. I love it! I bought it from a local sewing shop in town. I am fortunate enough to own Bernina 570Q . It is a nice machine too. For straight sewing the Juki 2010Q is perfect!! I am using it everyday now. You also don’t need to use a starter piece and the lever for the back stitch is easier to use. It reminds me of my grandmothers singer feather weight only stronger. I agree with you about the threader. It is very sensitive.
Thank you Jo! Congratulations on the recent acquisition (very exciting). I'll take a peak at the Bernina 570Q. Love the old Singers. I remember mom had one with the hand crank. I look at them in antique shops with longing but I haven't seen one with the hand crank only foot pedals!
I am looking and researching this machine for the last week. The only thing I don’t like is the supplied zipper foot, I would buy the aftermarket one. Regarding the knee lifter, if you need more clearance, use the foot lifter on the back behind the needle shaft head.
Wow. I thought I had responded to you. My sincerest apologies. I have not worked with knits much. You could try sending a message to Juki Junkies and they may have more information.
That was an all purpose Coats and Clark thread but when I make bags I've used Gutermann Mara 70 thread on top and 100 in bobbin with good results. Good luck!

To be honest I only had an old Kenmore prior to this so not much to compare it to but I have seen some people attach LED lighting strips or the small LED lights clipped to it. I have multiple light sources and it's very close to a big window so I haven't had a problem. Hope you find a good solution and if you do please share with the community-thanks Charmaine!
hello you got a very beautiful sewing machine please kindly film how to heam jeans using the beautiful juki sewing machine please OK?thank you very much
Hello Pam, since this is my first machine from Juki I'm not certain but you could send a quick message to Juki Junkies as they sell many versions of this machine. Happy sewing Pam and keep us posted of what you find out!
I do appreciate a review after an extended time of use and testing. Much more useful than an unboxing. Thanks
That makes total sense to me too, Jill!
I just received mine yesterday. Thank you for this video

I'm so glad you love it. I'm 3 years in and still adore it. I never have to fuss with it.
Thanks. Appreciate the comment about the safety glasses.

Yes before hand I constantly had problems with finicky machines but this has been a game changer! Keep sewing Sammy!

I learned something! That bottom trap door was a welcome tip!
Glad it helped. Sure makes it easier to clean!

Wow you don't need a starter 😃

I really like your style of review!
Thank you so much Anne!
Sewing machine review 👍 Juki TL 2010 Q
very useful review. so informative. thank you.
So glad it was helpful.
Hi, thanks for the review. Just wondering have you tried knit fabric on that machine? Does the foot need to be changed along with the needle?

Thank you for a great review!
You are so welcome :)
Do you say you would not recommend for clothing construction? Please explain.
This machine is a straight stitch only so no zig zag stitches, button hole ect.
What kind of thread were you using? I'm going to be sewing purses and need to use tec70/90.
That was an all purpose Coats and Clark thread but when I make bags I've used Gutermann Mara 70 thread on top and 100 in bobbin with good results. Good luck!
Great video
Glad you enjoyed it!
You make no mention of the almost daily oiling. That’s a feature that must be adhered to for maximum performance as well as regular cleaning.
Thanks Denise on the input. I think it may vary based on the hours of sewing too!

Have you had problems with the lighting? I can say that the lighting is not that great and I am looking for options to improve it.

The Juki is made in China. Will it be expensive to repair?
