To Everybody who have problem with Origin and Licence Key try this method: Open Windows Explorer Then click on Show > Show > Hidden elements = ON (same way to hide again) If necessary, restart Explorer / This PC Now select C: > ProgramData > Electronic Arts > EA Services > License Here move the file 71067.dlf or 71069.dlf or both or all visible .dlf files to the desktop Now start the EA app and then Battlefield 3 During the start, the EA app generate a new License file and everything should work fine

Thanks man. Got a random campaign clip in my recommended videos today and gotthe urge to play the campaign again after all those years. EA APP said no, this guide helped. Still had origin installed, only bricked. So all I needed to do was uninstall EA app, install the fvck off app and repair the game. Sure would be nice not having to jump thru hoops just to play a game I legally bought more than a decade ago...

Great Guide!~ A quiick suggestion is to make sure to delete all mentions of the EA App in Program Data, otherwise it wont work. I was having that issue till i deleted Folders called Electronic Arts, EA Core, and EA Logs.
I don't have steam, but deleting the EA crAPP and installing the cracked Origin along with those lines of code fixed my "Failure to Launch" error. BF3 works again, however somehow I got a russian version of the game. Either way I can blay BF3 again, thank you so much 10/10.

I would suggest a different browser to launch BF3. And sometimes the plugin (battlelog web helper in task manager) needs to be killed for it to launch.
Finally got BF3 running. After uninstalling EA and Origin, using steps in his earlier video (with Venice Unleashed), I located and deleted as many EA and Origin files as I could find. (Surprising how many files are left behind after using the Windows Uninstall App feature). Anyway, after deleting every EA and Origin file I could find, I followed the steps exactly in this video. Amazing, it worked and BF3 now launches. Thanks for making this video.

Not working for me. Still I have license error. In BF3 folder if go to Installer folder then i don't have Origin folder like in 2:15. It's because i have BF3 on EA App not on Steam? And i cannot unistall EA App because I have there another BF games which I using.

ALRIGHT, this video really helped, but for me, it was as simple as using the Google Chrome app. For whatever reason, the Microsoft bing is missing a plug in to operate the Battlefield system. It makes zero sense, but you can use both the EA app, and the origin App to launch battlefield 3, Medal of Honor, and almost any other classic EA game. Remember to try everything, even the most simplistic troubleshooting. For me, the browser was the problem. Don’t lose hope y’all 😂💀
Hia, actually for me it was enough to install Origin with your provided links, login and wait a minute until the message appeared "BF3 ready to play". I could not access the library in Origin, but when I closed Origin and started EA Games, BF3 finally worked.

I did everything you said and I still get the same result. It says my BF3 is not activated and when I try to click put in Product code it says Im offline. I got the game on Origin to begin with. Also I am using Windows 10 and I am not sure if you are using Windows 8 or something? But ya I didn't get BF3 on Steam I got it on Origin and this fix does not work. I am just going to chalk up BF3 as a loss unless EA actually fixed their own bullshit. I have to now uninstall all the stuff in this workaround and re install the EA app because I have games in there I still play.

@@RandomGamesHDPlay I haven't tried to reinstall BF3 yet. I will eventually try but I just got so sick of trying these work arounds and getting the same result. I haven't tried turning off my ad blocker on the BF3 launch site and I haven't tried reinstalling on the EA app yet. So I could still try these few steps but I have a strong feeling I would get the exact same result. It would say that my BF3 is not activated and to enter my product code and when I try to enter the code it says I am offline which I clearly am not. So that is why I am not in the mood right yet to try and reinstall and see if turning my ad blocker off does anything. I can keep you updated if I do but if you try that before me let me know how it goes. I think VB10S is right. They are going to eventually shut down the servers for BF3. But that doesn't mean people won't want to play the campaign maybe. For some reason, without using any fancy stuff i fixed it by deleting everything in C:\ProgramData\Origin & C:\ProgramData\Electronic Arts !!! After that i restarted my PC and BF3 was running without any issues!

Deleted everything from the following paths: C:\ProgramData\Origin C:\ProgramData\Electronic Arts C:\ProgramData\EA Core C:\ProgramData\EA Desktop C:\ProgramData\EA Logs C:\Program Files\EA Games\Battlefield 3\Core Restarted PC, started EA App, Repaired BF3 and now the game starts as expected.

If you have problems activating BF3 and you have venice unleashed installed here is how to fix it: 1. Open windows start menu 2. Navigate to the Venice Unleashed folder 3. run the "Activate BF3" script within that folder Then your game should be activated. (Make sure to open EA App and have bf3 run at least once as that is a requirement as far as I know)
I got the premium version a long ago, but uninstalled because I was having bad internet all the time so couldn´t play it even when It was actually working normally besides a bug with the anticheat kicking me from matches while playing legit, now that I reinstaled it I can´t because of this same thing, I´m gonna try it, hopefully it works
Oh my man, i've been trying and the game doesn't start. I just see that fking bluebar and the game doesnt launch. I reinstall the game, reinstall steam, i uninstalled ea and now im with origin but it doesnt work too. I disabled windows defender, I installed windows 11 and its pretty weird because I used to play the game with no errors and now all I have is that bluebar with the message "joining server". Even if I try to run the game in the steam path as administrator after going to battlelog, nothing happens. Do you know what else can I do? there is a battlelog plugin that works with the browser. If that isnt compatible with your browser it wont launch. I recommend installing different browsers to test. Also use task manager to shut down the plugin after a failed attempt. It should be Battlelogwebhelper or originwebhelper in task manager.

**update / Fix** If you have installed through origin like me. You must uninstall the game, origin and ea app. Install the origin provided and fuck ea install. That allows to open origin and install game in origin. Then follow guide until the very end by deleting the eaapplauncher. I didn’t have that in my install. Then open origin and play game through origin. I don't have BF3 installed on steam, I purchased it on Origin. I followed all the steps in the video, but I could not locate the last step to remove the eaappinstaller.exe because I didn't have one in my battlefield 3 folder. I launched the BF3.exe and origin log in and password came up and after entering the info I got the same "need to reactive BF3 passcode" error.

Excellent tutorial, but it didn't help me because for some reason origin forces me to update to the latest version (ea), this company sucks. PS: if someone can't find the programdata folder, you can try windows+r and %appdata%
Im gonna ask some questions in the response: does single player work? Try a different browser. Kill all EA/Origin applications in task manager and try again. Kill battlelog webhelper in task manager and restart the browser. Update punkbuster

@@bukeschmenzell Im not really that familiar with this error. What I have already said is what I have done in the past to launch the game when its being stubborn. Anything further from this spot I would be shooting in the dark. Maybe an out of date GPU driver? Idk. Maybe someone else knows more.
bf4 works, playing as alternative to BF 3 since nothing gets BF3 working, but then again bf4 isnt launched from a battlelog webpage so im very much suspecting originwebhelper.exe process edit: btw BF4 running on at least a 7 yrs old win 7 install that went through multiple platform changes from which core 2 extreme/intel p45/ddr2 is running on now - so sure as hell bf3 issues have nothing to do the machine its installed on
I have had an idea for a while. I am not sure if its gonna work or not, but I want to try it. The proposed solution: Take my activated game files and use them to replace an unverified copy of BF3. I can upload my BF3 folder to a megaupload link to see if it works. Ive been wanting to try this for some time.

I got an error message at first "Login unavailable at this time". I reinstalled origin and it worked for me. I am not sure if its the same error. Do you have a screenshot?
homie. press windows + R and type %appdata%. then click on the origin folder. You should be able to find local.xml and change the code. hope this helps!

No idea why they made EA access and battlelog the primary UI for this game. It’s buggy and can’t seem to get into games for no reason at all. Controller support also is absolutely terrible. No aim assist and holding left toggle to sprint is free kills for PC players.

Hi! I have had this happen to me. What I would recommending doing is wiping out all EA files and uninstalling the game. Enable hidden files > C:/Program Data. Then delete EA Core, EA Desktop, EA Logs, Electronic Arts, and Origin Folders. Go Documents folder and delete Battlefield 3. Then C:/ Program Files > Delete: EA Games and Electronic Arts. Then C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Local. Delete EA CrashReporter, EA Desktop, EA LaunchHelper, Electronic Arts, and Origin.

ALRIGHT, this video really helped, but for me, it was as simple as using the Google Chrome app. For whatever reason, the Microsoft bing is missing a plug in to operate the Battlefield system. It makes zero sense, but you can use both the EA app, and the origin App to launch battlefield 3, Medal of Honor, and almost any other classic EA game. Remember to try everything, even the most simplistic troubleshooting. For me, the browser was the problem. Don’t lose hope y’all 😂💀
Yup; battlelog has some browser troubles here and there; I always recommend trying a diff browser to fix BF3 launch errors
Hia, actually for me it was enough to install Origin with your provided links, login and wait a minute until the message appeared "BF3 ready to play". I could not access the library in Origin, but when I closed Origin and started EA Games, BF3 finally worked.

it's don't help me! I found solution - just delete orgini, and then delete origin folder in program files folder (after uninstall this folder still exist and contain to much files), now its work from EA app

I did everything you said and I still get the same result. It says my BF3 is not activated and when I try to click put in Product code it says Im offline. I got the game on Origin to begin with. Also I am using Windows 10 and I am not sure if you are using Windows 8 or something? But ya I didn't get BF3 on Steam I got it on Origin and this fix does not work. I am just going to chalk up BF3 as a loss unless EA actually fixed their own bullshit. I have to now uninstall all the stuff in this workaround and re install the EA app because I have games in there I still play.
I am using 10 with a windows 7 skin. That sucks to hear.
@@vB1OS Ya man thanks for helping though. I tried and it just didn't work. I uninstalled BF3 and I will try to reinstall it and see what happens then. I installed BF1 and it works fine on the EA app. I have a feeling it has something to do with BF3 having to launch from a web browser.

@@RandomGamesHDPlay I haven't tried to reinstall BF3 yet. I will eventually try but I just got so sick of trying these work arounds and getting the same result. I haven't tried turning off my ad blocker on the BF3 launch site and I haven't tried reinstalling on the EA app yet. So I could still try these few steps but I have a strong feeling I would get the exact same result. It would say that my BF3 is not activated and to enter my product code and when I try to enter the code it says I am offline which I clearly am not. So that is why I am not in the mood right yet to try and reinstall and see if turning my ad blocker off does anything. I can keep you updated if I do but if you try that before me let me know how it goes. I think VB10S is right. They are going to eventually shut down the servers for BF3. But that doesn't mean people won't want to play the campaign maybe. For some reason, without using any fancy stuff i fixed it by deleting everything in C:\ProgramData\Origin & C:\ProgramData\Electronic Arts !!! After that i restarted my PC and BF3 was running without any issues!

C:\Program Files\EA Games\Battlefield 3\Core
Restarted PC, started EA App, Repaired BF3 and now the game starts as expected.

If you have problems activating BF3 and you have venice unleashed installed here is how to fix it:
1. Open windows start menu
2. Navigate to the Venice Unleashed folder
3. run the "Activate BF3" script within that folder
Then your game should be activated. (Make sure to open EA App and have bf3 run at least once as that is a requirement as far as I know)

Oh my man, i've been trying and the game doesn't start. I just see that fking bluebar and the game doesnt launch. I reinstall the game, reinstall steam, i uninstalled ea and now im with origin but it doesnt work too. I disabled windows defender, I installed windows 11 and its pretty weird because I used to play the game with no errors and now all I have is that bluebar with the message "joining server". Even if I try to run the game in the steam path as administrator after going to battlelog, nothing happens. Do you know what else can I do? I alredy tried with all the things that u did in this video but im stuck in the same place. Thanks bro.
there is a battlelog plugin that works with the browser. If that isnt compatible with your browser it wont launch. I recommend installing different browsers to test. Also use task manager to shut down the plugin after a failed attempt. It should be Battlelogwebhelper or originwebhelper in task manager.

**update / Fix**
If you have installed through origin like me. You must uninstall the game, origin and ea app. Install the origin provided and fuck ea install. That allows to open origin and install game in origin. Then follow guide until the very end by deleting the eaapplauncher. I didn’t have that in my install. Then open origin and play game through origin.
I don't have BF3 installed on steam, I purchased it on Origin. I followed all the steps in the video, but I could not locate the last step to remove the eaappinstaller.exe because I didn't have one in my battlefield 3 folder. I launched the BF3.exe and origin log in and password came up and after entering the info I got the same "need to reactive BF3 passcode" error.

origin just got discontinued, so now this fix doesn't work. i just dropped 40 bucks on the premium version of this game, so now im pissed beyond what words can describe on youtube. I literally downloaded the game strictly for the campaign, because its so good, and little did i know, you cant even play it offline because of the stupid web page launcher. Excellent tutorial, but it didn't help me because for some reason origin forces me to update to the latest version (ea), this company sucks. PS: if someone can't find the programdata folder, you can try windows+r and %appdata%
programdata is a hidden file. you need to turn on hidden files to see it where it was located for me.

Im gonna ask some questions in the response: does single player work? Try a different browser. Kill all EA/Origin applications in task manager and try again. Kill battlelog webhelper in task manager and restart the browser. Update punkbuster

@@bukeschmenzell Im not really that familiar with this error. What I have already said is what I have done in the past to launch the game when its being stubborn. Anything further from this spot I would be shooting in the dark. Maybe an out of date GPU driver? Idk. Maybe someone else knows more.

bf4 works, playing as alternative to BF 3 since nothing gets BF3 working, but then again bf4 isnt launched from a battlelog webpage so im very much suspecting originwebhelper.exe process
edit: btw BF4 running on at least a 7 yrs old win 7 install that went through multiple platform changes from which core 2 extreme/intel p45/ddr2 is running on now - so sure as hell bf3 issues have nothing to do the machine its installed on

I have had an idea for a while. I am not sure if its gonna work or not, but I want to try it. The proposed solution: Take my activated game files and use them to replace an unverified copy of BF3. I can upload my BF3 folder to a megaupload link to see if it works. Ive been wanting to try this for some time.

No idea why they made EA access and battlelog the primary UI for this game. It’s buggy and can’t seem to get into games for no reason at all.
Controller support also is absolutely terrible. No aim assist and holding left toggle to sprint is free kills for PC players.

Hi! I have had this happen to me. What I would recommending doing is wiping out all EA files and uninstalling the game. Enable hidden files > C:/Program Data. Then delete EA Core, EA Desktop, EA Logs, Electronic Arts, and Origin Folders. Go Documents folder and delete Battlefield 3. Then C:/ Program Files > Delete: EA Games and Electronic Arts. Then C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Local. Delete EA CrashReporter, EA Desktop, EA LaunchHelper, Electronic Arts, and Origin.
