One of my Aunts used to live up in a region called Alicante (not the town by the sea), near a town called Orihuella, used to love to visit the less touristy more traditional areas where she lived, lemon and orange trees growing, just lovely.

Myyyy boysss in myy fav city! Yeah when they say spicy in barcelona it means less than mild. For some reason alot of my friends from there cant stomach anything spicy. I gotta try these spots next time in town!

Wife and I just hit the happy hours and got 1/2 priced appetizers with cheap sangria while we were there.
That $10 paella was key though! I was paying $20+ for the same dish a few years ago.

I like how you warned your spanish viewers before you ate the paella haha! Ive seen many comments about the microwaved paellas! “if theres a picture in front of the restaurant, its microwaved paella” but for the sake of cheap food 7 euro aint bad terry!

Barcelona street foods were not dirt cheap, but reasonable compare to cheaper Manhattan-NY Street Pizza, hotdogs, etc, incld IKea foods.
At €1mini Paninis u got probably are called tapas too but good deal for Europe + ur meatball tapas too, as most tapas we saw there were €1.50-2, the 2 paelas we ate cost €11 & 2nd €14(but 30+% off w our wine, tapas, steak, calamari,etc as local friends knew the...)
But both our Paela were too oily(the similar Chinese, SL, Indian friedRice, Briyanis are much better tasting, sorry Paella), but others items we had were v.good. ur Paela looks v less oily & got the same meats so ur €7 wins.
But 2 supermarkets we went in Barcelona (e.g.Macadonia,) where fruits, chocolates, stuffed buns, all near half of Can-Am $ prices, specialy 1L wine€1.50-3(same in Venice) beer cans 3 for €1, wowie!. Mostly no tax too, all 2.5 months back.

Pinchos are definitely not from Barcelona. They are typical to the northern part of Spain, basically in the Basque Contry
Went to Barcelona 2 years ago. To me, the food was meh, I mean we didn't eat at a lot of top spots there, but we did hit a few some. But yes, Barcelona is pretty pricey.
Foods and drinks aren't so pricey to me, I have always given 13-20 euros on either lunch or dinner everyday and 7 euros on breakfast while on travel in Spain. I couldn't order paelas (15 euros each) while travelling just have eaten in all you can eat spanish The Fresco, chinese, japanese , syrian restaurants in 2018.
