This is true. It's strange how popular these SUVs are, considering the average sized Australian family is now less than 4. The appeal obviously are the looks, size of the theoretical carrying capacity. But the cash give away vs practicality doesn't make sense. What I would do is get two decent reliable sedans for the price of a luxury SUV eg a Camry and an Accord.
One thing i have come to understand, every review has listed different SUV'S as the Best. No two reviews are the same. As someone looking to find a reliable, 2024 SUV, that performs well, has all the mod cons, with great service back up, and is well priced, the choice is confusing. Some cars are great but after sales service is crap, some are great but unreliable, Some seem great but are yet to be proven over time, some seem great but maintenance is expensive. Here we have choices that have all the above concerns as being recommended. As a buyer, you're on your own.

@@Drivecomau If I go to beat suv under 50k currently on your website you list the CR-v as 7.8 and almost 5 other cars above it. That doesn't line up with this video
The Pickup truck sold 1000 units in 4 hours opening time on top of the website crush, 2000 units in 24 hours, 4000 units in less then 4 weeks, and no one even has a chance to do a test drive, and most of them not even see the real car, if that is not called amazing what it is.
exactly what I was thinking, not to be a synic but a lot of these reviews are biased to sponsors, comparison between Kluger and Palisade is like comparing an 80s car with a new model!
FYI Families... You're still allowed to drive sedans and wagons

Atto3, spacious, powerful, smooth, very well appointed, cost me $48,000, operating costs fuel plus servicing for a year (19,000km) $320. Hard to beat.
Currently impossible to beat in AU
Insurance costs are higher for electric cars I guess. .
No, less than ICE it replaced.
Good luck with that.
@@joepowell7025 Thanks three months on, still happy.
So you're not sick of SUV's yet?
I'll still take the Mazda CX5 over this lot always.
Does Toyota Kluger has last seat airbags ?
The curtain airbags in the Kluger do cover all three rows of seats.
I am pretty confused. Honda is the best for under 50k. But compared to compared to whom? I suggest if they are ranked from 1 to 5.
