Just a heads up, generelly you shouldn't house red hagen (Geosesarma hagen) and the purple ones (Geosesarma dennerle) together (Different claw coloration). Although they're the same specie, the subspecie is different and they can fight eachother. Nice build otherwise tho & interesting idea growing the anubias terrestial.

how did you get the moss? notify me so i can get some👍
I used the ZooMed frog moss, that you can get at most pet stores for this build. I have also been using local moss from my property for more recent builds, just make sure it has no bugs in it
what Temperature Is in The PALUDARIUM?
It is just kept at room temperature which runs 22-26C
@@PetsNPonds 19degrees are fine?
Hello sir.... Can you please make a video on how you made your that frog tank... ☺️
Yes, soon I am going to build them a bigger one and I will film it for sure, Thanks
@@PetsNPonds ok sir. thank you. i will wait
Have you had success keeping multiple vampire crabs in the same enclosure? I'm finding conflicting information online.
I do keep multiple crabs together and have no issues, but they do have lots of space. I wouldn't crowd them as then I think you would have some issues
Neat! Can I buy a crab from you? What are you feeding them?
Yes, we have them in the store for sale, we do not ship. They eat fish flakes, pellets, and some leafy vegetables
I tried making this, but kept making a mid puddle instead :(
Gotta make sure the soil is above the water line, which takes lots of Hydro Balls,..Good Luck on your next attempt
@@PetsNPonds I ended up using 4 bags of hydro balls.
@@crimsonmcknight635 hope it works out for you now
Hi I’m totally newbie to aquatic, I build my small Paludarium for my Vampire Crab but one huge problem I met my crab died next day I wonder it’s my water problem but I do have put dechlorine to the water before put in the tank…Please help me 🥲
Hard to say why he died, dechlorinator works pretty much instantly so as long as it was done before the crab went it, it should have been fine
@@PetsNPonds But what if the crab actually fine before the water changes?
Do Vampire Crabs not need any air in the botom section of the terrarium? im confused i wanna start too with them :) btw, nice one!
I do not aerate the water if thats what you mean. There is a filter though to keep the water clean
Do you ship?
Sorry no we don't
@@PetsNPonds Wish you did, I have an empty 20 long burning a hole in my pocket.
How do you heat the water ?
I don't heat the tank at all, they do great at room temperature,....they actually have some babies now that I will be doing a video of soon
hello sir, do you sell thee crabs,
Sorry we are unable to ship them
"Just gunna go ahead and grab the tank from my dart frog tank to give these guys a nice little home" [cut to the dartfrogs sitting in a sad little box bcus their home was stolen for crabs]
You think this would work for fiddler crabs? 🦀
I think so,.. maybe a little more water than land but the same concept
Vampire 🦀
Surely not enough water to breakdown all the waste?
Been running several years now and its been great. The crab waste is virtually non existent and used by the plants on land. Anything in the water is taken care of by the filter, those crabs do not seen to create very much waste at all. Thanks for watching
@@PetsNPonds thanks for the reply, it's a great video! Super interested in getting some of these guys, I had red claw rabs once and they mad eloads of waste 🤔 in terms of maintenance how does it compare to a normal fish tank? Hard to find this info online so far!
Thanks again!
@@cjr96 Red Claws are very messy, I have had those as well in a similar set up and they basically destroyed it within a few months. Vampires are much easier to keep and do a lot less damage, in terms of maintenance I feel its easier than a fish aquarium, partial water change once a month or so, regular filter maintenance and wipe off a little algae and thats about it
@@PetsNPonds amazing thank you! Yeah red claws are destructive! 🙃
Don't you escape with a filter? 🤔
It is closed off at the top, they do try to climb the wire but then have no where to go
It's 🥶 winter now. Ur recommendation on a 3 gal for bedroom. 10)25/21. Would appreciate help buying stuff.
North California 🦀🦀🦀
Have Fiddler's & looking for vampire 🦀if possible. Ty👍 great video TOO ☺️.
3 gallon is a bit small for a colony of Crabs but you could keep a couple in it for sure. The video shows everything you need to set it up, Thanks for watching
Ok. We ty👍🦀🦀 🦀 is 2 males 1 female vampire ok in a 5 gal for bedroom? 10/31/2021
Nothing makes me happier than my Fiddler's. They enjoy Beethoven's " Ghost". Petco & PetSmart local don't have 🦀🦀🤔. Been looking 6 months 🤔.
@@sandraragole2679 I would try for more females than males
I dream of an aquarium which has
1.crabs
2. Seahorses
3. Exotic fish like 2 or 3 discus clown fish etc
4. Rays 2 of them
Total 14 organisms. Lets say 20 if i like more species of the exotic field..cause there are many choices...
Can all these live together or not?? How much big the tank has to be??
Also i like jellyfish...
You have freshwater and saltwater species listed, which would definitely not be compatible.
@@PetsNPonds But all of them can be found in sea!!!!
@@blackmamba5380 Discus are freshwater, I am not very familiar with saltwater aquariums
@@CarlOutside Aaaa ok... Thank you very much!!
That poor frog be like:dude WTF?
LOL... he has gotten over it now......the frogs are getting a new bigger tank soon too
Who disliked it, WHO!
The dart frog
@@edmerpaulubongen9514 hmmmm... yes they must be the culprits.
