This little sketch has a better cast then a thousand Hollywood blockbusters.
And that, ladies and gentlemen is how House MD, got his limp. 😂
Very good!
Ah. I did wonder when it started. Many thanks!
Oh shiiii, It never clocked...👍👌👍
nah thats why he goes nuts
RIP
Rowan Atkinson is such a versatile actor. Can't believe this snarky character in black adder is the same the actor in the Goofy mr,bean
And he is also very good in Maigret!
And then you have the brilliant Hugh Laurie being goofy Prince whatsisface - or the suave, sarcastic House.... There is some serious talent on show there. Plus brilliant writing.
people that play villains well, are not playing
I'm just gonna say this here, his voice work as Zazu(?) In the original Lion King animated movie, certainly built up from years of Black Adder snark.
Make sense 😂
I think that Stephen Fry's portrayal of Wellington is absolutely brilliant and perhaps the most historically accurate
Especially height-wise
@@gobbollino2688 lol
I can't think of another to play wellington so well.
i think it was wellington who responded to someone saying “my legs been shot off” with “indeed it has”. sounds like the entire officer class was unusual 😁
One of the best comedies to EVER hit our screens, Rowan, Stephen and Hugh along with Tony Robinson were unbelievably, hilariously funny 😂❤
Don't forget Tim
Is Thony, Baldrick 😂😂? The acceptance to be this guy is the religion.
Hit our screens, you say
@@justarandomgothamite5466 yeah I do
How is the comedy called? What are the words before Atkinson hits the general? Don't get it, English is not my mother tongue
Stephen Fry managed to turn hitting Hugh Laurie into an art form
he didn't hit Hugh he barely touched him
The "magic" is with Hugh ... the one who "gets hit" does most of the work. Stephen said that Hugh was a master in being hit.
Its being hit thats the master craft
Fry clocked him with a cricket bat in one of their skits. Pretty hard, as well!
@@davewalkeden6932nope he did that to Derrick Nippl-e
From the Netherlands: It remains excellent British humor, which is rarely surpassed.
I think the word you're searching for is NEVER 😂😂😂
@@stephenridley1153 absolutely the best in the world
R_A_R_E_L_Y ? how dare you !
Humour*
Too often can also be used....
The Prince Regent totally stole Blackadder 3, Hugh Laurie was at his absolute best. "Sausage Time!"
Prince Regent: 'I'm looking for a wife , Blackadder!'
Blackadder: 'She'd have to be bonkers, sir'
Prince Regent: 'That goes without saying Blackadder. Woof!'
"Whoaaa, crickey!"
Only bettered by BlackAdder’s manservant, Kate (sorry) “Bob”.
@@davidelliott5843Bob didn't do a better performance, that's got to be some feminist shit, I get opinions vary, but she done hardly anything, Laurie helped cement blackadder
Oh... No one has any love for Baldrick? There would be no Blackadder without Baldrick.
I love how you can tell both Rowan and Stephen enjoy this sketch
Can we just take a moment and respect how nice the outfits are.
Period costumes and interiors ... another British specialty.😉
@@clivestainlesssteelwomble7665they probably just ask their grandmothers if they can come over for a day of filming 😁
No Sir, a soft hit would be like This, whereas you hit him like THIS 😂😂
Yes we all saw and heard that.
😂
I’m still disappointed that American comedy can’t be more like this. This is freaking hilarious. 😂
Try "What We Do In the Shadows." It's American by way of New Zealand.
Arrested Development is your friend, sir.
The British accent adds to the comedy in a way that an American accent cannot IMO
By Jove, I think you're onto something there!@ClarkGreaseball
Yanks are too literal to be this silly
Three brilliant comedians together. Hugh laurie is always fantastic as a gormless upper class idiot. Loved him and Stephen Fry in Jeeves & Wooster too.
His acting in the A Bit of Fry and Laurie sketch where his character has taken his cat to the vet to be put down is absolutely brilliant. Our attention is drawn to the weirdo being played by Fry, but Laurie's reactions are pure gold.
Jeeves and Wooster could have been written by P J Wodehouse waiting for Fry and Laurie to be born and grow up to play those roles
Nobody will ever do it better
Gods, Hugh Laurie as Bertie Wooster was just gold. And Stephen Fry as Jeeves was just *chefs kiss*
@@vic5594it was great tho FRY in relity was far too young to have played the older and much life experienced Jeeves but he got away with it.
Though I'm waiting for the parts they played in an episode hiding from Spode by dressing up in black face and joining the minstrel band the Chocolate Covered Coons, it could be used against them by the canel cultred woke lot, l hope not
What ho! I've finally found the comments section where I belong. 😌😆 Yes, J&W was an absolute masterpiece.
Hughe Lauries face throughout this was class acting
Three legends of comedy. Black Adder and Fawlty Towers are still the best comedies to ever come out of Britain to this day.
Actually, there are loads of British comedy series made. I'll name a few in No particular order different generations Red Dwarf,Bottom Harry Enfield,Benny Hill,Morecambe and Wise,Tommy Cooper,Hitchhikers guild to the Galaxy, only fools and Horses, Dads Army, Rasing Damp theses come to mind for the moment but of course many more British comedy classics theses are not just my opinion only but taken from the British public who watched them and became a household favourite according to viewing figures and many series they made only fools and Horses start from the mid 80s to the final series 2003 😂😂
Try 'The Thin Blue Line' also with Rowan Atkinson - absolutely brilliant!
You missed the two Ronnies, father Ted, Black books, the IT crowd, Spaced, Porridge, Open All Hours, Armstrong and Miller, Mitchell and Webb, The fast Show
@@AndrewHalliwell them two but like I said there were many more classic weren't they matey faulty towers, Monty python on the buses 😂
@@AndrewHalliwell None of those are as classic as BA and FT.
Lol so hillarious😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣 Dry British Humor & cant believe its Hugh Laurie Rowan Atkinson & Steven Fry awesome team 😁👌😄👍

All that talent in one video! This made my day.
The delivery of "Why, I hardly touched the man!" deserved a laugh imho
Gave me Clancy Brown vibes
well, permission granted.
The portrayal of the British Class system, Public school politique is abound in Stephen Fry!
Why??
It's IN-SANE how perfect Stephen Fry looks in that costume. His face is like a painting, and the, "gun carRIAGE!" 😮😂😂
Mr Bean, Doctor House and Mycroft Holmes fighting
2/3, not bad
Hugh Laurie also played Mycroft in that Will Ferrell Sherlock movie.
Stephen Fry has been in some movies, but is better known as a TV personality.
@@namedhuman5870Steven Fry did play Mycroft Holmes in A Game Of Shadows. So it is 3 out of 3
Or Jeeves and Wooster...
Hugh Laurie is an incredible physical comedian
So is your mum
All he done was not get punched. Calm yer apples.
I like him better when he's a spiritual comedian. You hardly notice the subtle humour.
@@randommadness1021 No, he does more than that. The way he reacts to the 'punch', falls and recovers is acting genius. I guarantee you could not do as well.
@vermilliongecko I used to do plays every single week. That isn't too difficult, trust me. They're having a laugh by making others laugh. I guarantee that the first time they done this scene they were all giggling like hell. 👍
Hugh Laurie and rowan Atkinson, so awesome 😂
Wow, this is hilarious. I do love British humor
Humour*
video subtitle: 'Blackadder and Arthur Wellesley spend five minutes assaulting the Prince Regent'
My fave is still the cricket bat during the Reporting a Crime sketch. Where it really seems like Stephen clocked Hugh good and proper.
The one where Hugh is a racing driver is better. Stephen accidentally Hugh for real there as well. You see the shocked, regretful look on Stephen's face at the end of the sketch.
What a trio of talent. 🥰
Love Blackadder the funniest comedy ever ❤ Greetings from Slovakia 🇸🇰
So _that’s_ how House got his leg broken.
What, being punched in the face causes a broken leg?
@@mikemccaine4229 though he wasn't hit in the motor control section of the head, any trauma to the brain could mess up any form of regular functioning
Say he WAS hit in the back of the head or so (in the cerebellum area), it COULD affect his motor functions. It's not really a "broken leg" more than a limp
@@RetrogradeRecall These are TV shows we are talking about and I'm sure the original post was a "joke". Not need to get all Dr Phil about it!!
Oh Stephen Fry
Fry, Grammar and Freeman in any order!
Old House takes a licking, and keeps on kicking? LoL 😂😆
All the black adders are brilliant. 😂😂😂😂❤❤
Absolutely real comedy not like today's Kevin's and Karen's judgment
Except the 1st season.
Why is this too funny, LoLoLoL. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 He had a slight smirk of satisfaction in the end...
Hugh Laurie- you're an absolute legend.😊Godspeed!💫🕉
Hilarious, some of the best British comedy has come from the Blackadder series. Don’t try to let me out waiting for the door…. I don’t want to die of old age. 😂
This third series has become my favourite.
" The Three Top Comedians "
No wonder Hugh Laurie needed to become a doctor taking drugs after those hits
It's called acting; you DO realize that none of those punches actually land, right? The sound effects are added in to make it sound like a hard hit. I'm amazed at how many people think what they see on TV shows is real.
It's called a "joke".@@d.e.b.b5788
@@d.e.b.b5788 No, I'm more amazed that you think this comment is serious and not a joke.
@@hannah-ti6qo In 2016, we saw just what happens, when we assume that people are joking, but they are not. We wound up with a megalomaniac for president. Look through the comment sections, especially of the short subjects, and see how many people post idiotic things, and then argue about them; they are absolutely serious about their crazy comments. That's why I wrote what I did.
😂😂😂
All three actors are comedy gems!
Just finished watching the entire Black Adder series last week and laughed as if I was watching it for the first time. 😆💞🇬🇧
Jeeves has finally had enough of Bertie Wooster's crap! 😅😂
Wat heb ik genoten om jullie bezig te zien,❤ dank jullie ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
He was giving the "I've finally got you now, Bueller" face to Mozart
Is absolutely crazy how awesome those comedy was back then it was absolutely genius perfect absolutely amazing in today's comedy is just kind of lacking you got to love British comedy
More comedy in a 20 second clip from one of the best shows ever produced than in the entirety of so called sitcom broadcast in all of 2023 on every platform
nicely done, camera work, sound effects and acting, i think i catch rowan grinning after his efforts.
No one does Pompous British commander like Stephen Fry. Watching Hugh Laurie and Stephan Fry together is a treat.
The Holy Trinity of British comedy
The very underated third series of Blackadder. Today the most watchable by far. Everybody loves BA goes forth but its heartbreaking in the end.
Blackadder, Fry and Laurie, Hale and Pace i love british humor
Excellent physical comedy. The entire scene with The Duke of Wellington is a masterpiece.
Ohhh, mr. Atkinson, my childhood time with "mr. Bean". Thank you from mother Russia))
Three national treasures at their best.
I love this episode so much 😂 😂
Mr. Bean As Mozart Hitting Salieri 😂😂😂
I just love the way that after all the pummelling George is still continuing a previous scene’s joke of “Your Highness, Your Highness” 😂
Hugh trying hard not to laugh is golden.
Hugh later said of this scene that Stephen Fry never learned to stage hit, so he's actually just punching Hugh in the face.
Three of the best in the world , love them
Blackadder is my favourite comedy of all time and this is absolutely one of my favourite parts to watch and poor Hugh Lauries face when after they have hit him is brilliant, and one of the hits from Stephen Fry ( Duke of Wellington) does actually connect but was kept in due to Hugh looking so shocked.
That's the reason, House is that bitter? 😂😂😂
Three Masters of Comedy!
Your Highness Your Highness 😂😂😂 so brilliant ❤
Timeless english humour. So good.
A classic series
Hugh Laurie? Hahaha Great!
Just genius, the likes of which we will not see again. ❤️
It was in this moment that Jeeves decided he had enough of Bertie's antics.
Budge-up, budge-up 😄
“All right, Stephen, Hugh, stop playing around. We’re ready to start filming.”
Hitting Hugh wasn't in the script, but Stephen was a little irritated that day and clocked him one then Rowan just ran with it and it all got out of hand; ever the professional Hugh just stayed in character.
There's no documentation of that at all. However Tony Robinson has said that every scene and sometimes every word were meticulously gone over more and more to see which is the funniest so I really doubt they would have allowed that improve position like that. They even, according to the one director spent an hour arguing whether gerbil was funnier than vole.
@@LKMNOPIt's Gerbil.
@@randommadness1021 Agreed.
The last hit was personal 😂
Oh, I needed that laugh this morning, always funny guys! 😂💐☘️
Missed Fry in the third series. Simply awesome with just a guest starrng role.
Absolutely marvellous comedy.😂😂🤣
Forgot how much I loved this series
Looks like I just found my new binge watch channel ❤
All I can think of when I watch this scene now is Emma Thompson hysterically laughing
This scene was so satisfying to watch
This what the entire hospital wants to do to House.
I love British humor. Thank you. PEACE
🤣🤣 that punch at the end got me
So funny. A delight.
How I miss the good Old days...😅🇵🇹
Fry & Laurie - name a more iconic duo
Probably the best of the best of the best.
i once listened to a very educated man, Oxford, tell me how he disowned his son, to discipline him. the upper classes in the UK are very cold hearted.
OMG I love Blackadder
So so funny 😅😅❤
Amazing video 🎉
Hugh just took it like... Hugh. Poor guy!
Three great actors
Now that explains why he became so cranky as House.😂
Lmao so that's why House is so grumpy 🤣 ahahahahahahahahah
"WAIT A MINUTE!!! THIS IS BLOODY COFFEE, I ORDERED TEA!!!"
Dr. House being punched like that...I'm sure his team of doctors would have loved to see that! 😅
I love Black Adder so much lol
Still so hilarious, a timeless great from our Greats !!
Lol sometimes the OG is the best
This is my Christmas get together with family
Noam’s smile right at the very end seems to summarise his intellectual attitude: strict, but only to ensure that accurate information is shared to curious minds in the public discourse (which he appears to enjoy)
Your highness your highness.
Stephen Fry looks a hunk in that uniform. Excellent piece of acting. There's a bully in every one of us.
Now there was pack of best of bests, and my favs since i was kid ❤
He proper whacked him in that first slap apparently 😂
