Brother, these wheels look awesome!! Had not expected them to be lighter than the 18s. Well, it's a lighter tire and a lighter rim, guess that's why these are called flow form. The black works so perfectly with the red calipers and blue exterior. This is the end game bro. Congrats
Thanks brother! I was hoping for 1-2 lb, and that's what I got. They ride smoother than my 18's from 60mph - 90mph. They are a beautiful thing to behold, I shit you not.
The car looks "brought together" now, cohesive from front to back, hewn from a singular chunk. Looks like the full execution of OEM+ and finished. Congratulations, sir.
Thanks for the detailed comment. It made sense as i read it. The ONLY thing bad about them is they never photo well. but i knew that going into black wheels again. The ride is incredible. Super smooth at 80mph+. Softer than before, rather than harder. And quicker response from any speed and punching it, but might be in my head.
@@LastHumansGarage The wheels are dope. They have just the right amount of detail to complement the design of the car. I think about the intricacy you get with Vossens - these stop short of that, but that surface ribbing on the spokes adds visual complexity that works with our car's design. S3's are kinda wild looking in their details, hard cuts and all curves, flatness barely used to visually broaden the car. These wheels work with all that. Grown men are gonna be breakin' necks looking at this thing go by.
My loyal chachacha. My channel has been dead, and I apologize for that. But I had a moment of happiness in this video, and felt the rush of car love again that had started fading away. I also studied tallness of tire sizes vs weight and comparing dif brands. I also found the Conti's to be lightest. I went with the Conti extreme contact sport 02 in a 245/35/18 which was listed at 21.3 lbs or something
@LastHumansGarage my stock tire talness size is 25in and when i went up to a 40 aspect ratio on that wide of a tire, it make it like 25.5 or 25.75 tallness and my gearing in the A3 is insanely tall. With a 25in tire my 3rd gear will do like 93. With the 35 aspect ratio it put me at 24.75 inch tall tire so close to stock gearing but JUSTTTT slightly shorter and again lighter weight
Kangaroo, I certainly pondered that on the night of acquisition, but I wanted to be able to use them any time I felt like it. We'll see how they hold up compared to my Neuspeeds. My Sparcos havent sold yet.
@@LastHumansGarage oh for sure, UHP all seasons are so good now and yes, then you can run them year around. I actually just put a set of these tires (DW606+) on my son's MK3 GTI for the same reason....all year and "If you can't drive hard on these on a public road you need some help with your driving."
@@LastHumansGarage I was looking at the same wheels at tire rack, they got em at 270 a piece (exact specs as yours), but the dark grey tinted finish. Was asking to see how durable they have been, as most horror stories for aftermarket are in the 19/20 inch wheel size. The only thing I dislike a little is the badge on the edge of the rim, but not a deal breaker.
What I do when I torque my rims on the Subaru is my torque rating is 89 foot pounds the first torque setting I do half obviously in a star pattern the next torque rating I do is the full 89 foot pounds and a star pattern…
surprisingly, it was better. and ill tell you why. my 18" neuspeeds have michilin all season. my 19's have conti all season. the conti sidewall is softer and weaker than the michiln, so that is why i actually got a better ride from 19's,
@@LastHumansGarage Interesting. I had been postponing buying a new set of wheels for my 19” stock sized Firestone Firehawk Indy500 summer tires (currently on stock wheels) because of ride quality…but if it’s so tire dependent, I may expedite the choice. Maybe Enkei Rajin’s for me. Thank you for the thoughtful and prompt response!
center caps are tricky... the measurements are confusing. i may have a set that fit this flow one which I could measure. I've bought 2 sets on Amazon that fit.
I like the split 5 spoke design on these LHG. That glossy black compliments the rest of the car, can’t wait to see it in the sun 🤙🤙
thanks Statman. Sure, they don't photo well.. but they ride NICE.

Looks fantastic...keep them on the S3. Love the black and blue contrast
Thanks ColinMcRae, i do love black and blue.. (not in my marriage life though..)
Bro 🔥🔥🔥 ... I like the silver wheels but these just tie everything together 🔥🔥🔥
ya? you think it ties even better? the side isnt as exciting looking, but they drive like a dream.
Indeed ! They look incredible. And the weight loss will help with the performance of the car.
thanks Pink
Oh yes, I think these wheels deserve another video, showing them off in the sunshine. Black is hard to see details on video

Great looking wheel. Perfect tire!! DWS 06+ The tire of choice!!! It's what I have on my S4 as well.
Thanks, I def love Contis after trying these for 24 hours.. Conti's are where its at.
Looks perfect!!!
Wow, that means a lot coming from you Ralphie Boy. Thanks for coming out.
Looks nice... powder coat the calipers to match the car
hmm , naw, way too much work. but it would look nice. i like a little red here and there to break up the black and blue.
Nice wheels!!!! now the car is very beautiful!!!
thanks Crazy Eddie
Can’t beat the Conties and Michelin

SICK bro.. i finally have someone that confirms the same.. now i KNOW I was right about the Conti's being lightest..
245/35 is an unual size. the equiv is normally 245/40/18. i personally dont go down to 35 profile until i hit 255 width

Surprised you didn't a summer Conti Extreme Contact Sport for the 19s and use the silver with all seasons for the winter.

Hey i just got my rims and tires yesterday! Should be getting my lug bolts and hub centric rings today!😊
what you get Skilla Killa?
@LastHumansGarage i got the Konig Ampliforms in a 18x8.5 in a "bronze"(claimed 18.6lbs on the site) going on my Quantum(Nardo) Gray 2020 A3
@@LastHumansGarage going to weigh them today when rings and lug bolts get here but should be at or around 41 lbs

Big improvement!!
thanks LodeRunner
It looks really good 👌🏼👌🏼
Thanks ZebboZainy.
I have the same wheels, they perform pretty well... except on highway they cause more drag then the MSW Type 50 i had.
ahh i love them on the freeway too.. but drag is more to do w tires than wheels.
How are the new wheels holding up on pot holes?
They do give the car a better stance...!
still fine, i took them off for now. might go a diff color.

RIP oem wheels. hampton roads interstate sucks
ya but i DID run over 2 big rocks in all fairness... when my 2 wheels got cracked.
Who uses torque ratchet on wheels 😂 bro just tighten that mofo up.
dunno, torque wrenches seem silly.
