Great to watch the legendary test batsman Vishwanath's scintillating century and the fightback by India to level series against the great Australian side having Greg Chappell, Him Hughes, Border, Lillie Marsh & Pascoe. What a pity that Geat allrounder Kapil Dev's final burst of five wickets in Australian second innings...the finest moments of Indian victory are not shown in the video.
During my college days, we enjoyed the match through Radio commentary. GR Viswanath century, Karsan Ghavri clean bowling Greg Chappel in the second innings, Kapil Dev fifer in second innings were all time great memories for us. In the second test at Adelaide India had great escape with a draw. Hence series was drawn with 1-1. Sandeep Patil was our hero during the series. 174 master blaster in second test. Chetan Chauhan unlucky 97 also in the memories. Gavaskar protest also highlight of the series.
I am very much surprised that I am the first here. We have perhaps forgotten to honour our glorious past. Any way take my hearty thanks for providing all the three test match of 1981 australian tour. I would llike to request you to please upload extended highlights ofall the five test matches of another historical australian tour in 1977/78. I will be eagerly waiting for an early reply in this regard .
We had been longing to see this perhaps the third win by India against Australia, the second at Melbourne. But disappointing not to see the Full footage of Indian win
Thanks. Last innings could have been in more detail with all dismissals. Any possibility of the 1st day of the Old Trafford Test of 1977, 1968-69 Aus-WI series, 1965-66 Ashes?
Australian umpires low quality work.Clear case of of partial and third class umpiring. Boarder was out at 91 by Ghavari. He was given Not out. in those days australian and pakistani umpires has sam third class quality, even worst.

I experienced this complete match over radio/Transistor...live 1981
kapildev took pain killer injections to overcome knee injury and went on to wrap aussies and finished with 5/28
WHEN WISHI HEATS A CENTURY, INDIA NEVER LOST THE TEST MATCH.
Chappell was lucky to survive the lbw appeal early in his innings. Australian umpiring was woeful to say the least!
Agar ajj ka time hota to review mein chappal out hota
Great test match वो भी क्या समय था जब टेस्ट मैच में भी t20 से भी ज्यादा रोंमाच होता था
T20 super boring
Pleasure listening to Bill lawry, Ian chappell, Tony Greg, Keith stackpole...
Viswanath was the finest batsman at that era.
Why is the best part so abridged 😢😢
Thanks for the footage...we're grateful to you
Vishy the Genius
Cheap and dishonest umpiring was a cheaf weapon of Australia.
Yes, very bad umpiring like Pakistan
Alan border batting is highest order!.

Aussie umps back in the day, eh?

Poor umpiring by Australia
india's winning moments were not captured in this vedio.sunny gavaskar's protest was eye opener for entire ausie including the partial umpire....
Kapildev 5 wicket skipped....
This video is incomplete...very disappointing.
Greag chapell is LBW,he is out without doubt, but bad aus umpire too favour aus team

Very very bad aumpire of Australia
Incompetent and cheating Aussie umpires.
If we had Kohli or Hitman in that era they would’ve won the series single handily
As usual, pathetic umpiring against the Indians!
Indian style shit-tip pitch , Indian win.
