This has arrived at a most appropriate moment. We are all locked down and cannot go to Symphony Hall to share our time with Mirga as she casts her magic.
Bravo - lovely to watch the orchestra connecting with your conducting - conducting them to bring out the very best in themselves - l could seev they were very happy with you and the results - Again , another bravo

Es wird nicht lange dauern und Mirga wird die Berliner Philharmoniker dirigieren dürfen. Sollte es dazu kommen, kämen wir vielleicht in den Genuss die 9 te von Beethoven einmal anders zu hören.
Why have women today always to act so demonstratively over-energetic? They seem to think that that makes them appear powerful and in charge. But look at conductors and leaders in other fields who are REALLY powerful and in charge - they would NEVER overact in this way, NEVER move and speak as angular and edgy as this young woman does. They move and speak calmly, because they don't have anything to prove.
Wow...what a comment. Maybe she is just excited and enthusiastic about music and her career. She seems genuine, kind, and humble to me; thrilled at the joy of and love for music. Nothing comes across as forced to me in her speaking or movements; she is just being her authentic self and sharing that with others. Why do people like you always have to show up and provide condescending statements looking down your nose like this? As if your way of conception of being is the only way to be in the world. As if being calm and stoic is the only way to demonstrate “you have nothing to prove.” And anyway, please, I’ve seen many male conductors behave similarly. I don’t want to automatically assume sexism, but it sure seems that way. I have her CD of her conducting Weinberg Symphonies 2 and 21 and it’s a sensitive and powerful recording. So she’s doing something right.
Let us all know when you get a conducting appointment. The real job of conducting is in the days of lonely score study, in the pondering over musical decisions, and then in how best to convey them to the musicians from the first rehearsal. And that prep is for every piece in the season. I've done it, and had a career in classical music performance including conducting opera and ballet. If you are "ruhig und still", then you are asleep, no good to anyone involved in making music!!

A film to inspire young musicians everywhere.
Mirza made the cover of Gramophone magazine in 2020. She could convert the whole world to great music.
Amazing and unique woman 🖤
Conductors are magicians 💚
Thank you for sharing those moments with us!
Congratulations to director Daniela Schmidt-Langels and her cinematographer Isabelle Casez who did a wonderful and very intimate film.

I saw her live before all this Corona thing started. Amazing.
This is a wonderful, energetic conductor making classical music exciting. OK, I took care of that. Now this: I have such a crush on her.
I've only just discovered - wow, she's very very special.
INCREDIBLE ARTIST

I hope she will grow mature and leave this egocentric , neurotic style, I don't think it helps the music. An orchestra is no toy for conductor's joy.
very well said, I agree
