I would be really disappointed if whoever picks up this story goes this route. I really loved the way they characterized Death in Agatha All Along a Green Witch. The force of nature constant growth and decay. She holds a knife in one hand and a bloom in the other. I thought the way she exerted her power to deal with Agatha's body was a beautiful depiction of that. I would hate to think that Rio, who loves Agatha, would give her a child knowing he wouldn't survive his birth. Though maybe even Death can't see the Fates ahead and she has to abide by them - she can only stretch them so far.
@@ParticleZon I just had a revelation just by reading your comment. Rio probably knew that he was not going to make it and die, that’s why she agreed to have one so she could persuade Agatha even more to going with her. So they could be together with their son.
Obviously Rio is the father, Nicky has the exact same face as Aubrey, and he is always referring to Agatha as Mama or Mom, but he said "Mother needs me at home" which was clearly pointed towards Rio.
I think the choice not to name nick's father is just to keep the door open to different options in the future. They could double back to the idea that it is Rio, but by not expressly naming that detail, they leave room to go a different direction if it would better suit a new story in the future. I assume nothing is locked in place yet.
He narrates this as if Jac is just being coy. What she really said is that anything that didn't happen in their story is really out of her hands. She has no control over what some future show runner, writer or executive may decide to do. There's no point in her saying who she thinks the father is. She can say what they thought about in their process, but since it didn't go into the show, it's up for grabs.
I really want Nicolas to be a product of a deal with Mephisto. Being stillborn is exactly the kind of thing you would expect from making a deal with the proverbial devil. Why would Rio create a child out of love just to kill it before it was even born?
Rio being the other parent makes sense shes a cosmic entity that canonically can create life. The show shows us she can create life when she blooms the flower from her hand and we know she can heal because she heals Agathas cut. Also they call her Death but they are very clear she is the original Green Witch and her magic relates to the whole circle of life. I don’t think Rio wanted Agatha with her in the next life otherwise she wouldn’t have tears in her eyes and walked away without taking Agatha as promised in their convo at the beginning of the episode. Also pretty sure she was trying to restore balance and since Agatha didn’t deliver Billy as she said she would Rio was going to take Agatha. It was a trading of Billy for Agatha to keep the balance. I don’t think that was a portal at the end either I think it’s just the basement door to the outside as shown in the previous episode. Billy drove away he’s still pretty analog I don’t think he’s making portals yet. As for Death following them that would make sense too she told Agatha that she didn’t want Billy giving Tommy a body, then Agatha did it. It’s clear she cant just find them on her own she found Billy on the road, so following them as they find him makes it easier for her. But I don’t know if setting her up as a villain again is a great idea because even though she was pretty hurt and crazy at the end they made her a very caring and sympathetic character too. She let Nicky live longer than he should, she didn’t take him as death but as Rio so she wasn’t as scary to him, thats the last scene we see of her, being sweet and caring. She patient with Agatha getting her out of the hex, she open and vulnerable in front of the fire and defends Agatha to the Coven and tries to protect her from her mother. If they wanted her to be ‘Bad’ they didn’t do well, because you expect Death to be a little edgy and toxic but she’s actually quite caring and compassionate to.
Aubrey did such an incredible performance in this show hope to see her back in the screen, would have liked a post credit showing death visually frustrated after the fight because of ghost Agatha, Tommy now reincarnated. Not having him in the show I'm ok with it just cause it would've added to the list of characters we haven't seen since they were introduced
Perhaps an agatha season 2 is where we follow Billy & Ghost agatha looking for Tommy. I believe that agatha and rio could be the parents of nick. They had him ethier thru magic or using one of them and man perhaps Mephisto. Favorite Hero: Batman
For the Death following them shot, that was a little disappointing to cut that. The way u framed that sounds fun, making her a reoccurring figure with them. I love the idea of this show getting a season 2. If that's actually in the cards. The Hulkling cut stinks. This place seemed like a good spot to intro him. But not have him do the Skrull thing. Like maybe save that for season 2, that way you get Hulking and Speed taken care of all at once. I originally assumed Hulkling would show up as one of the skrulls at the Skrull safe haven places in Secret Invasion. But I'm kind of glad they didn't do that. That show was very disappointing, I really wanted more from that and didn't like how Marvel handled that storyline. I'm curious to see how they make a Death mini series. I don't think it’s a huge reveal. Rio creates life. We see Wanda creating her sons ( well, creating the souls) without a man. Plus Nicholas looks an awful lot like Aubrey. the consequence is most likely the sacred balance being uneven which maybjust bug her or may become like a domino effect where countless consequences from it
I would be interested in seeing Death's siblings (Eternity, Infinity, and Oblivion) rib her on these mishaps. I imagine those family meetings can't be fun for Lady Death XD.
Kit Connor fits perfectly for Hulkling. Seriously, just like on previous films they cast actors that actually look like the character, Connor looks like Hulkling. Blonde, squared jaw, built, and has worked with Joe before so.. Just make it happen Marvel!
I would really like to see her reaction to the Blip. From the POV of Elena that we got in Hawkeye, it seems that death didn't take the snapped people but that they kind of "teleported 5 years to the future" (from their POV). But maybe Death did take them. And then had to give them back... Can you imagine? :D
Is Nicholas not Death and Agathas child? I thought it was implied that becasue he is a child of death this is why he is still-born. Agatha gets more time with him but ultimately he was men't to go with death from birth
i hope its just a small reference for thanos and rios relationship, like they have all these slight nods to her and agatha relationship an nods to agathas sexuality- so i hope if we see rio again theres some slight nod about her sexuality and maybe could be like thanos is an example of her being bisexual or smthn ykno lol idk
I think it's good for them to cut the scene of death following Agatha and Billy only because if nothing ever develops further then the last thing we see of them is death looming behind them. And it Will feel more like a bad Omen than an Easter egg for the future.
Aubry is great as death, But a huge point of her character is her her ability to be fairly neutral about almost anything. The only time in the comics she isn't seems to be regarding when she falls in love. So death is a character in a show like Agatha where she has scenes with someone she used to be in love with works very well. But outside of that she doesn't have a major character and she's way too powerful. She's ultimate. You can't Nerf her. She's death. Her weakness is occasionally being in love with things and people. Other than that, the show would just be her collecting bodies. Escorting them through a door. I would certainly love to see her in a bunch of marvel things where she shows up and is just death in the marvel universe constantly in different shows. That would be awesome. But I don't think she needs to be in her own show
The Young Avengers will be in their 40's by the time Disney gets to them... Just get the MVS over with, reboot and then do everything properly and with a PLAN. And I Adore Rio and Aubrey Plaza, but no. We do Not need another fluff show for Death, a character that just does not make sense at this point to give a show to and honestly, would be better served used in Movies and cameos. Death is NOT a character that needs their own show or movie. Just like so many others since phase 4, Just like Echo. We did Not need that. We did not need a Half baked Secret Invasion for the sake of Secret Invasion. Just my 2 cents, but really, think about it and the Big Picture of things.
Idk, me personally, I would LOVE a Death show. She could literally interact with any character that's died before. Captain America, Black Widow, Thanos, etc. That would be fun to see and also to get more info on her and Agatha. I also very much enjoyed Echo. Besides it being an interesting story about her, we got more story about Kingpin, some Daredevil also. I do agree Secret Invasion sucked, though. I liked the action of the last half, but it just felt so boring to get through, as much as I like Nick Fury. Everyone sees it differently, but I do love having so many options of shows and films to watch. It mirrors the comics. You go to a comic shop on new release Wednesday and it's FULL of character solo stories, team stories, etc. And like the comics, you don't have to read/watch them all. Each product will resonate with a different audience anyways. However, I do think when Young Avengers hits, it's gonna be cool! Think Endgame, it took us a long string of films to get to that. The buildup is part of what makes it fun, for me anyway.
As much as I'd love to see Hulkling. I agree with Marvel. Theres already alot of character introduced that we haven't seen anymore of. We dont need to be adding more and more. Lets flesh out many of what we already have. Feige knows this. Im sure this is the reason. Doesnt mean new characters can't show up. But for now. Let's build some more groundwork with what we have.
Im almost positive in the show, Agatha herself says he was made without magic. When she was giving birth to him, so its unlikely that Rio and Agatha created him.

Wiccan's Father's are Vision and Jeff Kaplan Speed's Father's are Vision and Frank Sheppard. Vision is the Original "Father" Via Wanda's Magic and The Other 2 are the Fathers of the bodies they both reincarnated into.
Idc if Thanos and death exist. She used him, had no interest in him. Her and Agatha had a better relationship Deadpool like it wild, but h found a gal.
It's very plausible that death is the "father" because well death is genderless/both gender but I doubt because I think that nickey would have some sort of powers since agatha is already powerful and death is well death so quite likely but could also be disproven
It was magic. Its Death and Agatha's child. He was literally made from scratch, he wasnt conceived normally. Its why Agatha had to keep harvesting witches magic to keep him alive
@jhonatanboodram2109 I mean I don't think Disney is going that route so either the question will never get answered or it's Mafesto and it's reference the cross roads..
The annoying thing is that your probably right I love wiccan and hulking and personally don't think that their love story should be done like that but marvel might just take the easy way and say that hulking is hulks sun but I will still hold out hope for a actually hulking
that would be HORRIBLE lmao skaar and hulkling are _drastically_ different, and removing such a prominent character as teddy would be a baaaaaad move especially now that they've got billy all set up
Thanos and death was a CRAP relationship. Death just used him. It is dumb and it should die since death interest in him died when he sought to disrupt the balance.
Death getting her own series, is honestly an interesting concept, one they can show how she met Agatha, and 2 yes it's possible she got Agatha pregnant from a recent kaythn hayhn interview possibly nodding to it, which could lead to Nicky coming back from the dead in Death's show and the mcu would have him as their version of rot, which would actually be nice to have a human version of that character from the comics, meaning this version Nicky could actually be more powerful than his comic book version, as he has the potential to inherent Death's Nigh-Omnipotence power over her aspect of existence as the wiki puts it, her earth Magic, and Agatha's witchcraft in the form of gray witchcraft, a divide between white and dark Magic since she read the darkhold and gained dark magic. This could also start a great concept for the mcu to take, making live action characters stronger than their orginal comic book selves. Of course this would only happen to certain characters but that's fine. This would also provide for great comparison videos for a whole lot of youtubers when reviewing such a concept and also giving their ideas on how they would do it.
@ViciousAmbitious911 if the mcu actually does indeed this concept, if definitely indeed would be surprising to see that their finally trying new things, their finally doing rated r stuff, so this could possibly not be fully out of the picture yet.
_Agatha All Along_ is over, but it's not a success, so far. It never made it on the top ten of the rated shows; people just didn't see it. Hopefully it didn't cost that much for a niche audience. Someone said that these things cost too much for just 5[% of] people to like. First 7 episodes were good for what they were. Episode 8 had a battle, but 9 was lackluster with no cameos or battles. We thought two of the Salem Seven survived, the two that could turn into flying animals, but they were no where to be seen. It's very disappointing to learn that Agatha was a psychotic mass murderer of witches and didn't get punished and is accepted by Billy. In the movie _Women Talking_ one says without repentance "forgiveness can look like permission."
Yawnnn.... besides the hardcore nerds is anyone really excited about the young avengers?..... Seems like it will be pretty lame and a waste of money and resources that could be used for marvel projects that the people really want.
Genuinely did not enjoy Audrey Plaza as Rio/Death. It just felt like April Ludgate in the MCU and thats so played out to me. All the line reads between her and Agatha felt so clunky and soulless
@theresabeasley1399 1.) Do people need to know how to make something better when they say they don't like it or that it doesn't work or feel right for them? Is that how criticism works? 2.) Hire an actress capable of delivering lines with actual emotion 3.) Ask the actress to do another take, with more emotion 4.) Write better dialogue
I think it's also evident when Nicky said "my mother needs me"
And death came that night
And he was wearing green.
If Rio Vidal was the father as a cosmic being of death of course the child was still-born ... that makes me wanna cry harder about Ep. 9
Just think of how long Death has been living as a single mother.

Idc if Thanos and death exist. She used him, had no interest in him. Her and Agatha had a better relationship Deadpool like it wild, but h found a gal.
So fun
'He was made from scratch." Mafesto is his biological father. Rio is his mother because she gave him time.
what if Rio just shapeshifted into a guy , if she is a cosmic entity do you think she would have the ability to do that?
It's very plausible that death is the "father" because well death is genderless/both gender but I doubt because I think that nickey would have some sort of powers since agatha is already powerful and death is well death so quite likely but could also be disproven
It was magic.
Its Death and Agatha's child. He was literally made from scratch, he wasnt conceived normally. Its why Agatha had to keep harvesting witches magic to keep him alive
@jhonatanboodram2109 I mean I don't think Disney is going that route so either the question will never get answered or it's Mafesto and it's reference the cross roads..
@@fudouakio4759 a deal with devil not with death
I wish Rio was real and could go after Trump and his cult
You just make stuff up, and Nick being Agatha and Rios's kid is a horrible storyline..
Hulkling will probably be hulk son from she hulk
That's Skarr hulkling isn't actually connected to the hulk except for his green skin :-) but who knows. Lol
He is a skrull, not a hulk.
The annoying thing is that your probably right I love wiccan and hulking and personally don't think that their love story should be done like that but marvel might just take the easy way and say that hulking is hulks sun but I will still hold out hope for a actually hulking
that would be HORRIBLE lmao skaar and hulkling are _drastically_ different, and removing such a prominent character as teddy would be a baaaaaad move especially now that they've got billy all set up
Thanos is in love with mistress Death so I would love to see that to take full blossom.
I agree which is a shame because I would've liked to see Nicholas’s children the Salem Seven… but they were rewritten differently in the show
@ViciousAmbitious911 if the mcu actually does indeed this concept, if definitely indeed would be surprising to see that their finally trying new things, their finally doing rated r stuff, so this could possibly not be fully out of the picture yet.
Ew. Ms. Marvel.
i am the 666th like lol
So how would you make it better? 😊
Mephisto is the daddy!!
Oh heck no 😭
Not really looking forward to the Young Avengers. Watering down the real MCU Avengers. And don’t need more boys kissing boys 🤦🏻
No god no
Agreed
Right there with you
