I've been doing quite a bit of bonefishing in Belize and I still love this video!
I'm going to be in caye caulker in a couple weeks, any fly recommendations or guide to contact?
Flyfishing for bonefish is my ultimate fishing dream. Great video as always!
Yet another great episode, I love watching these shows while tying my own flies for sea trout fishing in the fjord at home in Norway!
Hope they help
I honestly believe that this has been one of the most educational fly fishing videos I have ever seen. I really feel motivated to go out and catch some bone fish.
Practice practice practice. Great tip Tim!
Tom, thanks! Great presentation and a ton of knowledge dropped as usual. I'm planning my first bonefish trip to the Bahamas next year. I have done little saltwater fishing and have never seen a bone so this video is just what I needed. To many videos are about "the experience" and cool video shots but with little real usable information. Great job!
Glad you liked it. We try to pack as much helpful information into these as we can
By far the best video I’ve seen yet.
Hi there, just wanted you to know that I watched this video a bunch of times and finally caught my first bonefish and this video was very inspirational
I enjoyed this segment very much TY.
My first bone fishing trip coming up in Key West this December. I’ve tied numerous flexocrabs, crazy Charlie’s and gotchas. Thanks for helping prep me!
Fantastic video! Packed with a wealth of great information. Thanks!
Wow ,awesome😁 looks like fun fishing👍🐟
It's the best!
Well produced video. Thank you!!
Great info. Will watch again multiple times. Have fished for bones 3 times, last trip was cancelled because of this covid crap. Hope to go again soon.
I miss it as well these days
The Bahamas have opened back up, for vacs free tourism! Its time to go back to da islands...Mon!
Gorgeous fish!
Wieder ein tolles Video. Das wird meine erste Trockenfliegen welche ich binde.😊
Danka!
This is a wealth of info. For even seasoned bonefisher-Mon!
ABSOLUTELY great video!
Tom hope all is well..been awhile since we were chasing Albies in RI togetherI. Some great tips here. Really enjoyed the drone footage.
I would love to try this. New gear would be needed😁
Good luck!
I feel transported. What a great experience. Maybe someday.
You won't regret it
Oh god it’s been a whole year since the last bone....fingers crossed for Exuma in Nov...👍👍👍🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
Taking my first shot at bonefish this July at Kamalame Cay, North Andros. Took a ton of notes from this video, so thanks for sharing it. Also have a trip to Seabrook/Kiawah, SC area in a few weeks and am planning to get a bunch of practice in with the fly rod. Any suggestions?
Great video !
Thanks
hey Tom, Great Video! I have a quick question on the release part of the video. in this segment you never mentioned nets; and whether it was ok to use or not. would you mind to tell me if it's ok to use nets on bonefish?
Is it best to flatten the barb for safe release? Thx!
You are a right handed caster, Why is the reel setup to right hand retrieve?. Having to shift hands constantly?
Casting is the key. You are correct, practice.
nice blue label rod ha :)
Glaister, is the best. Eyes like a hawk
Agreed!
🔥
Maybe get you into your backing, you must not have caught one in hawaii yet, they are massive and 100% put you in the backing hahaha
The mammoth donald unpredictably handle because salad distinctly paddle since a cool bowl. incompetent, ceaseless ceiling
There is no doubt excellent advice here which will help beginners to spot and catch bones. But so irritating that, as a right hander, he casts with his right hand but when he hooks a fish or to reel in, has to keep swapping hands. The rule is - if you cast right handed then the rod should always be in the right hand and you reel with the left and vice versa.
Or just do it how you’re comfortable 🤷♂️ when I use a bait caster I cast with my right and do everything else with my left. In the end if you’re catching fish who cares
No rules bru
