I just started ketruda this week. So far so good. Had a PET scan and will find out the results next week. You look great. This has been a hard journey. Hope things keeps going well for you. Thanks for sharing. ❤
#7 Monday chemo. Blood devil added soon next month. I feel great now but I’m scared of the future slowing down and sickness. I have felt so good now and mindset is everything. Congratulations
Thank you so much for sharing. You look wonderful!! I know the way we feel isn’t always the way we look or sound though. We stay focused and do one day at a time. 😊 I am going through my first cycle of XELODA now. Question: have you experienced “hand and foot syndrome”? If so, how is it affecting you? How do you manage it? Stay strong!🙏🏻🙌
Thank you! Yes, I have had some mild hand and foot syndrome symptoms. They didn't start really showing up til cycle 3 and now 4. Mostly if I am on my feet too long my feet get really pink on bottoms, and feel kind of itchy and hot. I lotion them up at least 2 -3 times per day with a lotion that has Urea in it, as recommended by my oncologist. Good luck on Xeloda. I found first couple cycles not too bad. The fatigue really started setting in more and more with cycle 3 and 4.
So I am self employed and homeschool my son. I don’t do as much as I’d like but I can get done what I need to. I find the first week of a cycle while my body is adjusting to the meds again is hard and the week off is hard in different ways because you are actually have built up the highest level of med. so it takes that week to recover. By the time you get to feeling a little better it’s time to start again.
No it was new news after surgery. I knew I would have chemo, surgery, and radiation. But because at surgery there were residual tumors left they added the oral chemo xeloda

Thank you for your reply!!
Are you able to continue going to work while on Xeloda? Also, how do you feel on the week off Xeloda?

I’m new here may I ask , did you know from the beginning that you’d need more chemo after radiation ?! It was that new news after surgery

Which stage were you and how many lymphonodes positive did you have??
Stage 3. I had 1 lymnode biopsied. Then after chemo, 3 of the 5 lymphnodes they removed were positive
You can stay focused! Remember to keep your "chug jug" handy! You are looking beautiful!
Thanks so much!
❤😘🙏
