It’s July!!! Cannot wait to hear your update. I’m sure you are thrilled to be off of chemo. I’m half way through, just finished my taxol and carbo treatment and on to the red devil. Hearing your journey is helping me to visualize being where you are now. Wishing you all the energy and happiness you can stand! Thank you.
Thank you for posting your videos! I'm on xeloda from stage 2 colon cancer. Trying to keep active helps with the treatments. If I just sit around, I feel terrible. Good luck with your treatment!
The expanders are tough. My double mastectomy with reconstruction was May 2nd of this yr. I look forward to my exchange surgery, and I'm super grateful for modern medicine. I tested positive for BRCA2 mutation and went through 6 biopsies along my journey. We caught mine in the precancer stage, and I'm so thankful it was caught early.
Yep expanders are not pleasant! lol Mine do flips and somersaults regularly and I am always checking to see if they are in the correct position, lol. I am with you, and really looking forward to that exchange surgery.
My big lesson with cancer has been that we need people, especially positive listeners. I feel worse around people who feel sorry for me. I love the ones who sent chocolates when I had the mastectomy ❤
I feel ya on this one. On the other hand, every know and then I just want people to understand how crap I feel, but that just makes them treat you different. I don't want to be treated different I just want people to appreciate how hard it is. IF that makes any sense, lo. And yes Chocolate definitely helps. :)
Thank you so much for sharing your story. I just am at the beginning as I just got diagnosed with IDC and I am pretty anxious. Hearing your story really helped. Once you are "done" with treatments do you stil have to go in for testing all the time? Thank you and blessings ❤
so glad it was helpful, it is a long tough journey but you can do it! Dr says Ill go for blood work every 3 months. only if they see changes will I have scans
hiya Heather good to hear your catch up and that you had a good weekend to pick you up .. its first time in s year ive seen you emotional its funny how those who love you most can being that out .. hope you have another weekend with your friends soon from silvana x
I have to get a double mastectomy and a hysterectomy after I’m done with chemo of 20 rounds on number seven today triple negative BRCA1 positive carrier I do have to get the surgeries I was wondering if anybody could answer me how long does it take for the reconstruction for implants my insurance will only cover implants
Depends on if you need radiation. They will place expanders first. Then if you have radiation it will be at least 6 months to exchange them for actual implants. If your not doing radiation you may qualify to go straight to implant or it’s usually just a few months to exchange them.

God bless you. Will you ever be done?
Lol, I ask myself that regularly. But currently the plan is to be done July
I just finished my last chemo, how long does it take approximately for you hair to grow back?
I finished chemo in October. My hair had started to grow back even before I finished. This video is about 6 months of growth
