Yes, rehashing sounds great but they would be like Alesis... Workmanship, components, etc. would not be the same level. I think that's why 90s synthesizers hold their value to a great extend.

I have recently used a special grease for plastic surfaces and no clacky keys now... :)
Buy a quality grease for plastic and you will see the difference unless you have some wear and tear components inside.
Aftertouch is also great on this synthesizer, very responsive unlike equivalent Roland and Korg models.

Absolute best synth ever created. it is easy to use and very versatile. The huge extraordinary sounds that this solid beauty creates takes very little memory. Multis are quick and easy to create and the effects are phenomenal. Have several TS12s & TS10s and after nearly 25 years have only needed battery replacements.

    • @littlestonliest1186
      @littlestonliest1186 2 года назад

@@eaglechildkeys The only difference is the 10 is smaller but has the benefit of poly aftertouch--more than one key can be affected at the same time with programmed aftertouch. Can not remember the last time I needed to use this benefit. The 12 is also much cheaper to buy used.

@@littlestonliest1186 If I'm remember correctly, the TS-12 also had weighted keys. I had the TS-10 years ago but sold it. Was so surprised how much value it held. I made nearly as much as when I purchased it originally new. They are awesome.

    I own 2x TS 10, 1x Ts 12, 2x ASR! I love them no modern keyboards can
beat these keys!! believe me I have tried different kinds of new
Keyboards, ended up returning or selling them away! ensonqs are Glued
with me for the rest of my live that's it
Midi Controls are 10/10 Volume Expression/Sustain pedal/ 2 switch midi
inputs can be used for 4 too with double pedals) / midi command
    assignable buttons 1 to 10 each have 6 buttons/ pitchband/modwheel/ 2
    patch midi buttons/velocity curves/Aftertouch sensitivity !
keybeds are the best 10/10 velocity/Aftertouch are the best I have used
from all the keyboards around the world, excluding the Kurzweill 2500,
    2600 series!
thickness of the sound are 10/10
and the keyboards made in early 1990 aren't they impressive ? hell yessss

A keyboardist in a band at a church camp quite a few years ago used to play two TS-10s. Piano, electric organ, a few synth stacks, occasionally bass if the player couldn't make it, and it seemed some percussion came from them as well. I was too little to remember much about it. I think later on she used Ableton Live or Mainstage with only one TS-10 and left the other at home. Eventually she couldn't make it anymore (one week long camp, two services a day plus a youth music time) due to moving I think. Always thought it had a nice sound to it. Nice playing.

Yes, very good! I am anxiously awaiting the return of my TS-12 that I purchased on January 2nd, 2019. It unfortunately needed some repairs as it stopped turning on after only a few hours of use. It has been over 30 days, but I expect it will be worth the wait once I finally have it back.

Gavin Shaler Hi! Ensoniq are a bit delicate sometimes. I had before and VFX model with some troubles too about keyboard callibration. Anyway, I’m sure you will enjoy this synth, is really a great machine. Good Luck! Thanks for watching :)

Gavin Shaler where did you get your Ts-12 fixed? I imagine you had to send it somewhere? Thanks, Dave

@@davidfaunce9598 Apologies for the late reply. I sent it back to where I purchased it, Metro Sound and Music in Richmond, VA. They have an onsite keyboard technician by the name of "Temple." He's the one who fixed it for me.

@@eaglechildkeys Hi, Chris. Very impressive, both your playing and these sounds. I own TS12 myself, these patches you're playing are not from the factory. I wonder if you could export them through sysex and make available for TS enthusiasts still around like yourself? They sound fantastic.

Janis Ragels Hey Janis. I’m sorry man, but I sold my TS just 1 month ago for buy the Roland D-50.
Anyway, I have one floppy diskette that came with the TS12 when I bought with some patches but not sure if are those you are listening. Write me here and let’s talk :) chriskeyboards1984@gmail.com

@@eaglechildkeys Hi, as I wrote above, thanks to your playing I was inspired to find these patches, and I was wrong - they are factory user RAM patches, only they've been deleted from my TS and replaced by ROM sounds. Your demo both reveals the power of Ensoniq TS and recalls nostalgia for 90ties music from my teens. Keep playing!
