Punks in the Gym has just joined the climbing permanently banned areas at Djurrite/ Arapiles. Over 50% of the park is now closed to climbing. This might have been one of the last ever ascents, depending on whether Parks Victoria and the Victorian government negotiate or harden their position.
Stunning piece of rock and great climbing! The supporting team was a wee bit too loud at one point but, eh, what are friends for? Congratulations on the send and on the video. Thanks for sharing!
Epic. Scene setting and the calm build through the beginning sections 🤌 And then the rising raw/emotional/visceral support from the ground crew through the crux sections. To finally the calm again, with sounds of nature dominating. …topped off with that roar (you could FEEL the emotional investment that went into that climb). Masterful soundtrack accompaniment as well. One of the best send videos I’ve seen.
“Yeah mate” classic! Jeans and shirtless, that’s how we send in Straya! Typical 80s bolting with every bolt having to be extended with 2 foot runners. No wonder it’s never been onsighted!
Amazing! Tried the route back in 2017, but had to leave early. Absolute masterpiece from Güllich. A line for eternity.
Even with the chipped hold

This video is nearly as good as the one of Ben Cossy sending Groove Train.
*C O M E O N ! ! !*
❤😊
Good Warn😀
I remember when this was the hardest climb in oz
sick
When your belayer is as motivated for you to send than you are ! So sick
easy climb, good warm up on this before heading to the organ pipes
beast
Holy shit Mike Boyd got good at climbing fast
Amazing video, that's some good grabbing!
I don`t understand why they only rebolted half of this fantastic masterpiece !!!! the old ones look horrible
The only problem is he makes it look too easy. Great competence from great confidence.
It's a wonder anyone got up a climb in the past without their belayer constantly yelling 'come on'. Great ascent otherwise!
It was good they did that; otherwise it would have looked like a one or two crux move route
Maybe they didn’t 😬
@@craigbritton1089 Yes impossible to tell the difficulty without that!
What's wrong with cheering someone up? Do you even climb?
@@Miki-xh6fb Please read my comment out loud and slowly to comprehend it then watch some climbing videos previous to the last 10 years!
Didn't even go to the top
Now banned
