I remember when this Galant came out in the late 1980s and won lots of Car of the Year awards. They are very scarce now in the real world. This build brings back the glory days of Mitsubishi and I've always wanted to see how one of these kits actually goes together.
Looking very nice. Was almost forgotten that these cars were used in the Rally,s. My uncle had a normal road version, and it was a comfortable and reliable car. I think he had it for over 15 years, and felt sorry when it did,nt pas the MOT in holland.
Great build Dan looks great. A small tip when you have yellowed decals. I have a UV nail station and found it really useful to fix such decals. The UV treatment will cure the yellowing affect almost completely, depends how bad they are 😉
Thanks Adrian. I have tried the UV trick of leaving in a sunny window but not had much luck getting great results. Luckily the video and photos make it look a lot worse and it doesn't look too bad on the shelf.
Shame about the decals, but not surprising. Hasegawa decals seem to yellow so fast compared to other brands. I have Hasegawa kits less than 10 years old with yellow decals yet other brands 20-30 sometimes more years old and the decals still look better in terms of coloring after all that time. Strange. Anyway, still a great looking build, thanks for sharing your hard work!
Amazing built and car.Good memories...Great job.
Thank you! 👍

The kit itself is simple but goes together well. My mate had the later V6 Galant which was a lovely drive.

A friend of mine had the later V6 Galant and it was a great car to drive. Shame Mitsubishi are disappearing these days.

I would normally get replacements or a different scheme but it was a quick mojo builder at the time.
@@TheDanCave I use yellowed decals all the time lol, totally understand just wanting to build it for the sake of building it
