I remember watching those Audis at Knockhill and paddock access to the cars was excellent. Not really a fan of modern day British Touring Cars. Nice kit however. I always add stick on wheel weights to my car models, in the engine and boot areas. Gives them a nice solid feel.
Great build video, love it. I’m a bit confused you pronouncing decals as deck-uls where as a British pronunciation way I was told was Dee-kalz, correct me if I’m wrong but I even googled it so I would be interested on your take
Nice work dan on the audi. I got now on the bench the 2019 Meng Audi R8 LM. A bit on hold now after getting a new pacemaker and other engine(heart) updates/surgery. I am a audi fan also, private car a A6 Avant S-line, but what you think of the first gen Audi ABT tt wich theu use then in the DTM?? That was untill the R8 came out my nr1 Audi model. Then i got a small question. Wich it in your eyes abetter 2k clearcoat, From Gravity or Zero Paints the Diamond line?? I don,t know or you have used them both. But i never used gravity and like to hear a honest opinion.Because the way you lay down the Gravity is very simular to the Zero 2k. Thanks in advance andwill be still here in the hospital i guess when part 2 of this build comes out. Have a nice weekend
Hope you recover quickly. That TT in the DTM was an interesting choice, I always felt it wasn't the right car for DTM but it did look good. Gravity is my preference at the moment. I haven't tried Zero's 2K, but I know plenty of people have had good and not so good results. But I know Zero have improved so I would expect it to perform as well as Gravity. Nearly all 2k can be sprayed this way - some minor differences only.
@@TheDanCave Thanks Dan for your opinion on Gravity. The primer/filler from Zero is horrible. 2K diamond is very good. But i am openminden and willing to try new and then other brands. And Gravity has that Midnight purple paints. And i would spray a 69 Camaro in that color after the Audi R8. Btw Friday or Saturday gooing home. Then i can hobbying around a bit and order at Spotmodel my things.
@@TheDanCave Hi dan thanks. And i have started the build of the Tamiya 911 GT1 already. Will be in the Jägermeister livery. A kind of a what if livery. I have been spoiled en blessed with some nice kits. The McLaren Senna, Ford Mustang GT 4, Mercedes AMG GT 3,Sauber C9 and the Nissan fairline Z all in 1-24 from Tamiya. And as cherry on the cake from axvery good friend the Fujimi Nissan Skyline nismo and the Datsun 240 Z from Tamiya in the 1-12 scale. And lots of paints and stuff like sandingsponges maskingtape and maskingfluid,BSI glues and much more. For the moment i can recover in style a few months😂 but i am glad i a home again where i belong.

I think you should give the modern races a change, they still produce good close racing.

My pronunciation is probably because I am Irish and not British - either way many people pronounce it differently.
